Yesterday was productive. I got rid of the wool stash and moved the bags for the charity shop from the house to the car. I visited mum in the afternoon and she was ok.
Today dgs1 is five. He is a lovely wee boy and I'm fortunate he's in my life. I'll go and see him later. I have art class this morning and I'm looking forward to it. I missed it last week because I was a bit unwell. Cheese omelette for dinner. I've finally emptied most of the freezer except for a small amount which is going to dd's freezer and tomorrow I will defrost it. I bought limes last week from Aldi -no idea why- so I think I'll make a lime and coconut cake. Have a good day all

Good morning from a dry W Kent. After my early visit to the surgery yesterday a visit from a DF was very cheering and we had a good catch up. Today is art group so more chatting I expect.
Jax you have my sympathy with leg and foot problems.
gM I can tell you are a very kind person but do be careful about running errands for other residents, this might be a one off, but word gets round. I know this from when my mum was in similar accommodation.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. I sound like a broken record but it’s dark, soggy and most likely windy again.

Yoga yesterday was very enjoyable, I do believe my balance is improving.

Today is our wedding anniversary. I’ve no idea what possessed us to get married in February forty nine years ago but I do remember it was a lovely, cool, sunny day.

We’re going out for lunch in town, actually using a voucher given to us both for our birthdays, to a restaurant we’ve never been to before. I’ve heard it’s good so fingers crossed.

Haven’t read the thread yet so will go back and do that.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s very wet in South Yorkshire and is in for the day, so walking group is off again - for me, at least. I may go and sort out some new specs instead. I had my eyes tested but never got round to choosing new frames. I have finally sorted my tv problems out by updating the software. If TalkTalk had begun our too long conversation by asking whether my software was up to date, I could have saved myself a lot of angst on Tuesday. It never occurred to me. Ah well.

Good morning, it’s another very wet start here in south Glos 🙄
Yesterday I enjoyed my trip to the hairdressers, it’s nice to have a good chat and catch-up.
DH took the dog out in the car for a walk around the next village, unfortunately she’s getting increasingly unhappy travelling in his car. We have no idea why. I’ve ordered an Adaptil spray that’s supposed to help and I will ask the vet for advice too because it’s upsetting for us and horrible for her.
In the meantime it will be walking from the house, rather boring but needs must.
She’s not much better in my car but I haven’t experienced the behaviour that he had yesterday. She has a seat harness but was apparently trying to climb onto the parcel shelf 🫣
Anyway , Stitch group this afternoon so a nice cup of tea and natter with friends to look forward to.

Good morning from a cold, damp Colchester. It rained most of yesterday and the same is forecast for today. Temperature back in single figures and freezing tonight.
A friend has cancelled our planned coffee meetup so I'll walk to Aldi for a few bits and then occupy myself indoors.

Good morning all from a wet and windy North Leicestershire. We are, apparently, expecting heavy rain and thunder storms. Deep joy!

Today we are taking our senior cat to the vets - I fear we won't be bringing him home. He is eating about 5 bags of food per day and losing weight. He is 12 and the son of one of our best loved cats.

This evening we are going out for a meal at a local pub which has a Punjabi menu.

Today DGD in Florida turns 13. Can’t believe how fast it has gone and how life has changed since that happy day when I became a nana. I do miss her so much.

I’m with the boys as usual, it’s our long day today which is only tiring due to my lousy nights sleep (or lack of it).

grandMattie you are a saint. I hope you don’t take on too much though. Getting soaked can’t have done you any good.

Good morning from West Wales.Raining at the moment.

Yesterdays face to face drs appointment was ok.I need to see a consultant but the wait is two years so we will pay and I will be seen next week.Not particularly happy about it but needs must.
We then drove down to West Wales.A lot of flooding in the fields and on the roads.

Today I was looking forward to a day in the hotel and lunch in town but I think I will need to go to DH’s parents house with him.His sister who wants nothing thrown away rang last night and was dictating what she thought we should bring home.DH would do anything for a quiet life and as we have done such a good job decluttering our own house I don’t want to bring a load of junk home.DH agrees and wants my support.We have booked a meal out and the cinema tonight as a reward to ourselves!

Jax I was shocked to hear how much damage you have done to your leg.I hope your recovery goes smoothly.Also hope Marydoll and Dollie are feeling better.

I hope there is positive news re the home today corner.

Morning Mick, morning All from a very wet corner of Somerset. Rain forecast all day, flood alerts and flooding all around, colder too.

Dust removal accomplished we wandered out in search of the right sized storage box for our open porch - packages are left in there and the former one had sprung a leak - easy you’d think, not so but we got there. A distraught goddaughter reported no news about her Mums possible acceptance to a different Home. We’re all getting edgy now.

Neighbours coming for a coffee this morning, we always laugh at the foibles of life and the world. More sorting for me later. Mr C and the shredder could well be in hiding.

That’s was some day grandmattie, hope for a calmer one today. Get better soon mizuna, rest if you need to, you too karmalady. I seem to function well enough on little sleep, not so for everyone.

Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Yesterday’s B and W Ken Russell movie about Elgar was excellent - like so many of the great composers, he overcame years of hardship to achieve eventual recognition, initially being appreciated more in Germany than here. A recommended watch, if you have the chance.

Morning all from a dark West Oxfordshire.
After yesterday’s busyness (stained glass course, hair cut and WI) today should be quieter.
I have notes to type up, some financial stuff to chase up and an on line V&A course on jewellery. The thing is though, Microsoft Teams is playing up badly. I ended up sending the V&A tech people an email last night. At least the lectures are kept for six weeks after the course finishes.

Good morning from Bristol. It is dry (ish) and it is today’s maximum temperature, which is due to slide to near 0C by the night!
Yesterday was totally unexpected. While eating breakfast, I got a frantic call from DD. Iris was unwell and staying home. Both her parents had important meetings which they couldn’t cancel, would I come over to be with her? Grandma to the rescue. Of course I said yes, and got ready to go.
It was pouring down and blowing a Gale. The bus was 20 minutes late, during which time I got colder and wetter. I have a 10 minute walk to their house (uphill!) while it was still raining.mi got there soaked and chilled, DD was able to go to her meeting. I had lunch and took the bus home, as the offer to drive me back around 3pm, sounded a nightmare. There are two private schools and another three round me! At leas5 it wasn’t pouring.
I got home, took my coat and boots off, about to put the kettle on, when I received a call from a neighbour. She was in tears as her doctor hadn’t received a letter from a pain clinic and she was into much pain to take it to the surgery, would I do it. I duly photocopied the letter and set off. It wasn’t raining, but her surgery is in the next village and there is a steep hill (this is Bristol - nowhere is flat) on the way home. Job done.
I sat down to a well earned cuppa, and feet up.
Today will be quieter…

Good morning from s somerset, a lot more rain again today, accompanied by dark skies and flood warnings are out. Too dodgy to go far, might not get back

Long night last night, I always know when the full moon is building, I must be very sensitive to its energy which wakes me up and keeps me awake. I will be fit for nothing today but need to be up and moving, rather than sitting

I am expecting two orders today, one for fresh organic turkey crown which I will carefully cut into small portions and vac pack for the freezer. Cost me an arm and a leg but not bad per portion and that meat is gentle on my stomach

More spinning later, a paper pattern to alter and cut, freezer food to put away and maybe jumping up and down to do, at least, a diddy bit of aerobics.
