Clearly the Republicans want him and clearly the blob is scared of him.

I predict he'll win bigly.

😁

Who here was waxing lyrical about Navalny?

His attitude towards immigrants made Trump sound positively pro immigration.

The more the left try to stop Trump succeeding the more likely he will win.

So why are British born and bred people having to go to food banks and sleeping on the streets whilst illegal immigrants are coming over on rubber boats (if you notice, all young men, where are their wives and children) housed in 5 star hotels and given spending money. If they refused to house these people and give them money then perhaps there would be more in the coffers for the people who pay their dues. Atrocious.

I have never in all the forums I have been on found so many nasty people who give terrible comments to people who are just stating their views. Everyone is entitled to their own view on certain matters and if they do not agree with your views then of course, offer your comments but in a decent way, there is no need to name call and be obnoxious about it.

Nikki Haley has pulled out of the race according to BBC online.

Thanks Cossy, I much appreciate that. Yes,, your dear late mum would have been absolutely right.

I would also vote for Trump. If he was the Prime Minister of The UK perhaps we would not be inundated with immigrants taking all our hard earned money. But sadly, all we have is a weak kneed little twerp in charge of toffee nosed born with a silver spoon in their mouths people.

Oh dear. I suggest you read a bit more about the nature of Trump, you may yet change your mind!

Trump is effectively an immigrant in America!

Migrants don’t take all our hard earned money! This issues we have in this country are not down to the less than 1% of our overall population entering illegally.

Cossy Wed 06-Mar-24 14:50:51

GSM speaks her mind, as many of us do here. I’ve never found her rude or insulting, I have found her honest, to the point and sometimes a little blunt, I guess if my dear late mother had known her, she’d say ā€œshe doesn’t suffer fools gladlyā€.

We are all able to express our opinions here safely, however if people choose to express opinions some of us find a bit daft then the response may not be as agreeable as they expect grin

Germanshepherdsmum......I have been watching the comments on these forums for a while now and I always find that you, GermanShepherdsmum have some not very nice things to say to people. My old mum used to say, if you cannot say anything nice keep your mouth shut (or in this era, keep your fingers off the keyboard).

You don’t always find that I have some not very nice things to say. You may on occasion dislike what I say but I adhere to guidelines.

Btw, the polite version of what your old mum used to say is ā€˜say nothing’.

Ah yes, the Abraham Accord. How is that going? Peace in the Holy Land? Iran brought into line, but forgot to stand back and stand down its proxy Houthis and Hezbollah fighters?

Maremia do you think maybe this is because Biden has tenancy in the White House and Iran plays on his weakness?

So many against Trump on here (fair enough, and thank you for some voting Americans who bring their comments into the debate) but the polling booth is a private domain. Many folk don’t like to admit they admire Trump and will be voting for him come November! Time will tell.

I think it’s similar to U.K. those who voted Conservative under Boris Johnson, some kept quiet after seeing how those who put their head above the parapet were derided, even here on GN.

ā€œI have to admit, unpleasant though he is in many ways, if I was American I would vote for Trump over Biden. I think he would be better for the USA ( though not for the rest of the western world!) He is also a lot less likely to start world war 3, he is a pragmatist. Alliances would change under him. I am sure he would be very bad for Australia and to a lesser extent, the UK.
Tell me exactly why you think this idiot would be ā€œ betterā€ for USA ???!!!ā€œ

In my humble opinion, and I’ve lived in America and visited often and have family there, Trump is not the best thing for America, he is FAR more likely to start a War than anyone else, he is not interested in anything or anyone than himself, he LOVES publicity of any type and doesn’t appear to have any self awareness whatsoever! He’s not a great leader, he’s a nightmare!

We are all facing economies that are flatlining

You keep saying things that are just plain wrong, suggesting you don’t do the smallest amount of independent research when forming your political views.

By almost any economic measure, the US is outstripping the UK, and US GDP grew by twice as much as the UK last year, and was significantly stronger than the Eurozone, Canada, Japan and several other major economies, and a similar situation is forecast this year.

Dr John Gartner says Trump's brain is dementing whereas Biden's brain is just aging

This is not a good situation though, is it? Arguably, the most powerful leader in the Western World, certainly the free world anyway, and the choice is between two old men without their full mental faculties. Having said that, if I had to choose, which thankfully I don't, I would choose Biden and his team, not Trump and his venal family.

flump Wed 06-Mar-24 13:15:40

Trump hasn't been able to talk in complete sentences for some years. He is a paranoid, narcissistic sociopath with delusions of grandeur. He is now incapable of saying ordinary words correctly. If in doubt, watch any of his rallies where he rambles and continues to lie about anything that doesn't put him in a good light. Unfortunately his cult members lap it up though there are some Republicans that are turning away from him.

Many psychologists have concluded he is suffering from dementia. Dr John Gartner says Trump's brain is dementing whereas Biden's brain is just aging.

I agree that Biden is weak, and I think both Sunak and Starmer are weak, none of them show proper leadership qualities, in my opinion. I’m amazed that America can only field these two candidates for president. I think it must be, as I’ve been told, all about money.

Trump is Marmite. I happen to like both.

He is a patriot. Not a dyed in the wool politician with all the wheeler dealings that involves. He’s not afraid to speak his mind and gets things done. He really does put America first. He’s strong and charismatic. A powerful man in many ways. He says what the American people (who haven’t benefited from the trickle down effect) who feel overlooked want to hear. ā€œDrain the swampā€. They know it exists and are sick of it. Many feel they have nothing to lose they have been neglected for so long. Rednecks or (like here?) Red Wall voters. They admire his strength and passion for the USA. As do I.

And the indictments? 🤣
Manufactured froth by the Democrats.

I am sorry . New Yorker here . You have no idea what you are talking about .
Trump is a Self serving egotist who only does whatever serves his own purpose : glamorising the Trump name .
He is a failed businessman .
He is a liar and a cheat : see failed Trump University.
Patriots don’t encourage insurrections.
The indictments are not manufactured they have been brought forth after many, many years of gathering evidence to bring a lawful conviction.
Trump achieved only a tiny percentage of what he promised in his last election . What he did deliver were tax cuts that mainly benefitted billionaires . These tax cuts drove the country into deep billion dollar debts .
Sadly, people can be easily led by news like Fox News which foments abrasive loud commentaries with little facts, memes that are fiction laden and podcast hosts that exist to wind up easily led public with more fiction.
I also wouldn’t give too much credence to his primary win as his wind were not as hands down and often with close margins .

Thank you!!
