Good morning all.
A bad night for the 3rd night in a row. I feel completely washed out. I keep waking up in pain across my shoulders, hips and legs. I suppose it’s likely to be fibromyalgia so I think I’ll look on GN later for advice. I’ve had blood tests for polymyalgia and RA which were negative.

GC were very good this week. DGS2 who is 2 started potty training last week after a false start in the Autumn and it went very well indeed. I ordered incontinence pads mainly for his car seat so I expect loads of online ads for associated aids.

Shocking news for you Harrigran the poor family with small children. I’m glad your DGS2 is continuing to improve Grandmabatty.

It’s actually sunny here in Wiltshire today!!

Good morning from Glasgow. We have another sunny day.

A busy morning ahead with more admin and later, a couple who we have been friends with for years are visiting at lunchtime. This was arranged on Sunday when DH had more energy but not so today. Lunch will be sandwiches, tea/coffee in his room where fortunately we have enough room to seat any visitors comfortably.

Thoughts with Harrigran and family. Sending love and strength to help endure this heartbreaking tragedy.

My granddaughters gave me a wonderful surprise yesterday. When I eventually got home after tai chi and shopping, and after I had changed out of my tai chi togs, I discovered a flurry of WhatsApp messages and failed calls from them on my phone - was I free and could we meet up at the beach for a walk? Was I free? Well of course I was! I just assumed they felt they needed a breath of clean sea air and that beautiful feeling of freedom that only a walk on the beach can give. And we did have a lovely walk - though climbing back up the dunes again afterwards was hard work for me! Anyway, back to the house for tea. I went in ahead of them to open up while they were faffing around their car, and when I turned round there they were, standing there, with a huge bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates and a card! I never once thought that this weekend's Mother's Day was the real reason for their visit, and I was so touched. What lovely young ladies they are - and what a lucky Nanny I am.
Today will be spent basking in the memory and doing not a lot else.

We have the plumber coming today 🤞to fit a new shower attachment. I’m going to the little cinema to watch ‘One Love’. Bob Marley film.
We went to his house in Jamaica a few years ago which was fascinating.

Might get fish and chips on the way home. Mmmm!

Hope your little chaps aren’t too wearisome today Bellasnanna. Perhaps they’ll catch up on their sleep. It’s hard when you have twins. Not enough hands, and arms for cuddling and comforting.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday's visit to the pharmacy and hearing aid people re my itchy ears wasn't very productive, the suggestion was to see my GP. They're not bad this morning so I won't, not an infection I think.
I visited the Body Shop and did some stocking up although they will still operate online apparently. I was the only customer in there and the staff were rather down as you'd expect. They close in a fortnight.
Back home, it was admin and gardening. I managed to grub out the rose monster. A pity but I don't want another season of constantly hacking it back, it was vastly exceeding its theoretical growth limits.
Today, catch up with the housework and get the ironing done, then that's mostly that for the week.

Really enjoyed the music club yesterday and voice was ok after it feeling on the sore side in the morning. I then returned unsuitable sandals and bought a cotton beach overshirt and hat (I’m hat mad).

Today to usual lunchtime concert, a pianist and may see my friend for coffee afterwards.

My deepest condolences, harrygran. How absolutely dreadful for the little family left behind. Poor poor young person driven to such an appalling act.
I hope they manage their grief and incomprehension. 🫂

Good morning everyone from a very dull and grey Northampton, set to remain so all day; feeling envious of everyone else's sunshine!

Satisfied with my visit to the bank yesterday, accounts sorted to my satisfaction. Afterwards had the most unexpectedly enormous ham roll in a coffee shop for lunch; when it came to dinner in the evening I was still stuffed, so ended up with just toast and fruit!

A morning of pottering, then may go to the well-being cafe after lunch.
Tuna fish cake for dinner tonight, an easy meal.

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 6°C. This of course means the washing can go out!

Bella, I hope the twins settle down, a tiring day ahead for you.

For the first time in months I have slept all night, from sheer exhaustion. Yesterday, I was on the go from 8am until 9pm last night, when I got back from a Safeguarding course. I fell into bed.
I actually had a pleasant evening because the trainer was my sister in law's former HT, whose sister I knew well at school. I was helping out, rather than being trained.
There were also other people I knew there. I do miss socialising.

Today, I will pick up my new car. I used to love driving, but now I seem to be much more nervous. Driving in the rush hour twice was horrendous, people were so aggressive and dangerously switching lanes at the last minute. 😱
No courtesy on the roads any more.
All I wanted was to avoid any accidents until my car has been traded in.

In the middle of it all, the hands free rang (I only use it in emergencies). It was the PP ringing from his mobile to my mobile, which meant it was private and urgent.
I asked DH to answer for me (I was going round a busy roundabout) so that I could tell him I couldn't speak.
What a palaver! How simple is it to press a large button on a display, which says Anwer? 🤣 DH hates phones!

My online insurance portal did not recognise my new car, so I had to waste an hour of my life speaking to a gentleman in a foreign call centre. He could not understand my Scottish accent, nor I him. He had also invented his own phonetic alphabet! 🤣

Another good morning from South Lanarkshire. Car going into the garage this morning for general sorting out and that means a fair walk back into town for me. Then mass and a church meeting before heading into Glasgow to meet DGD for lunch, I’m looking forward to that.
She is going to come onto the centre today to save me the perils of the subway on which I manage to make different mistakes every time!

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country, with a touch of frost.

What a lovely warm sunny day yesterday. My friend and I went to Wightwick Manor, near Wolverhampton. It was originally owned by the Mander family (paint). Pleasant walk around the gardens and the house, with a coffee stop halfway round. My friend knew someone she used to work with sitting outside the cafe. I don't think we go anywhere where she doesn't bump into someone she knows!

Went to a local pub for lunch, where she opened her back door to get her handbag, then said door wouldn't shut! So on the way home I had to sit in the back holding the door. Her son sorted it last night, but she is still taking it to garage to have a look.

Gym this morning, then a few bits and bobs in town.

So upsetting to read harrigrans news. Love to you and your family.

Good morning from the Essex coast. I arrived home yesterday afternoon after a long but relatively easy journey.
I'm not feeling great so it's good to be back in my own bed.
Poor DGD2 is suffering badly with her Asthma and was given steroids by the doctor yesterday.
I have loads of admin to wade through today, I do the accounts for the yacht club, and being away for a week means it has built up.
I hope all the little grandsons feel better soon.

Good morning from a bright Suffolk where we are promised a better day than I had in Norwich yesterday where there was a light drizzle most of the day.

This didn’t stop our enjoyment of the excellent photographic exhibition and a delicious late lunch in the Assembly Rooms,an elegant and very comfortable venue.

Today I have my keep fit class and then I intend to clean the inside of the summerhouse. How so many flies get in during the winter months I never know but when I opened it up a day or so ago,there must have been several dozens.

Hoping those who are unwell or grieving find some comfort today.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. DF coming this morning for coffee and a chat. Rest of the day is clear. Drove yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks to DD2 and DGD2 and spent a lovely couple of hours.

Good morning from a frosty and sunny coastal Hotel.

We saw 2 houses yesterday, 2 visits were cancelled as they accepted an offer on Monday, just 2 more to see today and some Estate Agents to visit. We popped down to the beach yesterday, very bracing! But lovely to see the sea again.
Going to the beach before we leave tomorrow morning and then home.

This morning I have yoga then coffee with the instructor and some of the women from the class.

An appointment with the hairdresser this afternoon, I’ve no idea what I’ll ask for, I just now that I’m fed up with my mop which is below collarbone length. It needs to be a couple of inches shorter I think.

Good morning from a cool dry Sefton. There is high cloud with sunny intervals forecast for later.
A busy day yesterday helping with u3a admin in the morning then lots of moving things around in the afternoon although I'm not too sure I achieved much. A less busy Wednesday than usual as our Pilates class is cancelled. A zoom exercise class first thing & then nursery pickup. We will spend the rest of the afternoon with our GD whilst mum & dad WFH.

Yesterday I enjoyed gardening all morning and then coffee with my friend in the afternoon. This morning I’ll be in the garden again and then later looking forward to picking up DGD up from school and bringing her back here to stay over.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather dreary South Yorkshire. We are expecting rain I think. My new garden fence and gate are now in situ and looking very nice. A good solid job. In the summer, I will bribe GS to come and help me paint it.
I’m going to clean the insides of the conservatory windows this morning, and this afternoon is writers group at the library, for which I have done nothing, so I will dredge up some old stuff!
