Good mornin* from a cool Bristol. Not looked out but think it’s dry. The sun rises earlier these days, which is lovely, and only a short time to the equinox.
I did very little yesterday; got some washing sorted out.
Today I’ve the church Women’s group in the afternoon and a haircut/tidy up afterwards. Might get the cushions finished and prepare another two. The bench thingy will look very bright.
I hope today brings comfort to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Cornwall where it's mild and breezy. A wrapped toasted ham and cheese sandwich arrived on my doormat at 10.30 last night, courtesy of my son apparently. Absolutely no idea why, but all will be revealed when I go to his place later to overnight-sit my 14-year-old grandson while his dad works. A certificate giving me free dentistry also arrived yesterday; posted to me five weeks ago it was battered and folded in five like a concertina and I'd assumed it was lost. It had obviously been sitting somewhere very forlornly.

Today I may go to the library craft group in another town or to the coast to breathe the sea air before packing my overnight bag.

Bellasnana Wed 06-Mar-24 06:04:47

Good morning from Malta where it is currently 12°C rising to 18°C later.

Have arrived to watch the boys, apparently they’ve had an awful night, one baby up from 12-4 is now asleep. Other one is whinging as he’s also tired. Looks like a fun day ahead!😂

Have a good day all.☀️

karmalady Wed 06-Mar-24 06:14:26

Good morning from s somerset and it promises to be a lovely sunny day

A very good sleep last night and my back pain is now gone, which has made me very happy. I do like a full sleep

I cannot waste what looks like a gorgeous day so will be out and about, must remember to put my sunscreen on. I have no idea exactly what I will be doing but possibly weeding/cycling/walking by a river

Have a good day

RosesandLilac Wed 06-Mar-24 06:21:04

Good morning, it’s frosty and foggy here in south Glos, but the sky looks clear so hopefully a bright, sunny day?
Yesterday I had my ECG, bloods Friday then back to see GP.
I will walk the dog early, then I can decide what I want to do for the rest of the day. I need to sort out the greenhouse sometime, it definitely needs it!

Pantglas2 Wed 06-Mar-24 06:41:24

Good morning all from another dry day on the North Wales coast - this weather we’re having is absolutely spirit lifting and I hope your all having some 🌞

Belated greetings for GrandmaChrissy’s birthday 🎁 - hope you did something special and 🥂for anyone celebrating an occasion today 🥳

Saddened to read Harrigran’s news and hope the family find strength to get through the tough time ahead 💐

Another quiet day for me sorting something to wear for friend’s daughter’s wedding on Friday - that’s the problem, too much choice, whereas MrPG simply dons his suit! (Assuming it hasn’t shrunk further of course…🤫)

Jaxjacky Wed 06-Mar-24 07:00:03

Morning from a frosty S Hants, that box is a long time coming Mick.
Up early as MrJ has work, I’m having a friend round for coffee later, rain yesterday precluded a tentative walk outside.

Good morning from a misty North Leicestershire.

Our cleaners arrive at 8.45 on Wednesdays and DH is off to the gym, out of the way. I have ironing to do. A friend is coming for a meal this evening.

Have the best day possible all.

Ashcombe Wed 06-Mar-24 07:11:20

Good morning from a fine, bright Torbay.

Thinking of harrigran and family facing such a tragic occurrence.

We shall attend Wednesday Club this afternoon for a talk on the Alhambra for which I’ll be busy dealing with the refreshments as our regular leader is on holiday.

I hope your little grandsons manage to catch up on their sleep, Bellasnana.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Beechnut Wed 06-Mar-24 07:12:36

Good morning everyone from Severnside. We have sunshine, very welcome.

I’m up earlier today as I have an audiology appointment this morning. I’ll then go and make an appointment to get my eyes tested and also get my haircut. Probably start making some cards later.

Have a good day all 🌸

Susan56 Wed 06-Mar-24 07:13:34

Good morning from Shropshire.Another misty start.

This morning I have to sort the car insurance. This afternoon I am going to a friends house for coffee.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

GrannyGravy13 Wed 06-Mar-24 07:16:26

Morning all it’s grey here but dry so far.

(((Hugs))) Harrigran and family

We have the final meeting with our building contractor and surveyor this morning to sort out order of works and to confirm start date next month. Whilst it will be lovely when it’s all finished, I am dreading the upheaval.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 06-Mar-24 07:18:55

Morning all from a frosty looking West Oxfordshire.
I think I’ll be spending the morning doing WI admin in preparation for tonight’s committee meeting.
After lunch the cats, Milo and Ripley, are due to have their annual checkup and boosters. I expect there will be a massive bill!
While I’m at the meeting this evening, OH will cook fish and chips for dinner.
I took my stained glass thing to the picture framer yesterday. He will just frame it and I’ll look for a wooden stand to sit it on. I won a small amount on the Premium Bonds yesterday and it was more than enough to cover the cost!
Have a good day especially those with difficulties.

Pittcity Wed 06-Mar-24 07:19:05

Good morning from misty Colchester. Another cloudy day forecast here, hopefully not as wet as yesterday. Please send us some Welsh weather Pants.
Usual Wednesday morning coffee meetup in the city centre.
DH will be home from his fishing trip later so there'll be laundry and mess to deal with.
Love to all 🦩 x

Grandmabatty Wed 06-Mar-24 07:25:35

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and sunny. A welcome start to the day. Bellasnana my sympathies. It sounds like they're coming down with something. Or teething.
Yesterday was a fairly good day under the circumstances. Dgs2 was not inclined to go out and it was a lovely day. He was sore after running after his brother so that curtailed our activities. He was very tired so I put him down for an earlier nap which worked wonders.
I had a pretty awful night last night. I kept waking up unable to breathe and with a dry mouth. Congestion sucks! Today will be a quiet one. I have things I could be doing, but I'll see how it goes. Have a good day all.

cornergran Wed 06-Mar-24 07:28:34

Morning Mick, morning All from a misty corner of Somerset. Sunshine promised later.

Sorting will be abandoned today and we’ll wander out. Good to be out in the promised sun for a while. Nothing too energetic, Mr C isn’t full of beans and I’m definitely tortoise speed just now. We have (another) afternoon tea voucher, may be a good day to use it.

I’m so sorry Harrigran. What a shock. Sounds as if the little boys could be challenging today bellasnana. Good luck.

May not see you all tomorrow as there is an unreasonably early hospital appointment causing me just a little anxiety. Be good to get it over.

Wishing you all the best Wednesday it can be.

Grammaretto Wed 06-Mar-24 07:36:01

Good morning Mick and all from the Scottish Borders. Not as bright as yesterday but the birds don't seem to mind.

Yarn group this morning, community lunch and then the dentist for a checkup.

Thinking of the Harrigrans flowers

Greyduster Wed 06-Mar-24 07:38:09

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather dreary South Yorkshire. We are expecting rain I think. My new garden fence and gate are now in situ and looking very nice. A good solid job. In the summer, I will bribe GS to come and help me paint it.
I’m going to clean the insides of the conservatory windows this morning, and this afternoon is writers group at the library, for which I have done nothing, so I will dredge up some old stuff!
Have the best day you can folks.

brook2704 Wed 06-Mar-24 07:40:27

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a sunny start to the day
Hoping tomorrows appointment goes ok cornergran and todays walk takes your mind off it for a little while
Yesterday I enjoyed gardening all morning and then coffee with my friend in the afternoon. This morning I’ll be in the garden again and then later looking forward to picking up DGD up from school and bringing her back here to stay over.
Harrigran such sad news 💐
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Gala Wed 06-Mar-24 07:43:55

Good morning from a cool dry Sefton. There is high cloud with sunny intervals forecast for later.
A busy day yesterday helping with u3a admin in the morning then lots of moving things around in the afternoon although I'm not too sure I achieved much. A less busy Wednesday than usual as our Pilates class is cancelled. A zoom exercise class first thing & then nursery pickup. We will spend the rest of the afternoon with our GD whilst mum & dad WFH.
Have a good day all.

baubles Wed 06-Mar-24 07:44:06

Good morning from dry and cool South Lanarkshire.

This morning I have yoga then coffee with the instructor and some of the women from the class.

An appointment with the hairdresser this afternoon, I’ve no idea what I’ll ask for, I just now that I’m fed up with my mop which is below collarbone length. It needs to be a couple of inches shorter I think.

Thinking of Harrigran and her family this morning.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 06-Mar-24 07:45:31

Good morning from a frosty and sunny coastal Hotel.

We saw 2 houses yesterday, 2 visits were cancelled as they accepted an offer on Monday, just 2 more to see today and some Estate Agents to visit. We popped down to the beach yesterday, very bracing! But lovely to see the sea again.
Going to the beach before we leave tomorrow morning and then home.
Harrigran how awful for you all, condolences to you and your family.
Have a good day everyone, hopefully Spring is on its way.

luluaugust Wed 06-Mar-24 07:45:34

Good morning from a bright Suffolk where we are promised a better day than I had in Norwich yesterday where there was a light drizzle most of the day.

This didn’t stop our enjoyment of the excellent photographic exhibition and a delicious late lunch in the Assembly Rooms,an elegant and very comfortable venue.

Today I have my keep fit class and then I intend to clean the inside of the summerhouse. How so many flies get in during the winter months I never know but when I opened it up a day or so ago, there must have been several dozens.

Hoping those who are unwell or grieving find some comfort today.
