Good grief! There's so much over-analysis and various "experts" giving opinions you would think that someone had revealed that they had conclusive proof that the Mona Lisa was faked.
It just seems to be the ONLY story at the moment - and I'm tired of it!

I'm just wondering who on the POW's PR team is currently being chastised for letting the perfect family photo out without spotting it was photoshopped. And who is maddest about it. W because it was his photo that was messed with or K because she had to admit she was lousy at photoshopping?

Or the dog, because his image was clipped off the photo? Grrrrr!

We used to see Lupo quite frequently, but not so much of the new dog.

It happens with RF photos. I think the last time was in 2019.

Maybe he's so cross about the photoshopping he's refusing to be in any photos

I also thought it was a lot of fuss over nothing and I absolutely love her and William and their children but I got a very bad sense of dejavu when I saw the photo of her and William in the car and she’s looking out the window. It reminded me so much of the photo of Diana and Charles back I the day🥹🥹

Apologies, my mistake, the he dog is actually a she dog, called Orla. We don't see much of her because she's currently in training how to savage journalists!

They’d be better off borrowing the late Queen’s ankle nippers.

Why should we know every detail of their private medical problems?

Good question!

... which no-one, so far, has answered satisfactorily.

"We have a right to know" doesn't cut it as far as I can see. Not suggesting that anyone on here is demanding to 'know' on that basis (though I haven't read all the posts).

As far as I am aware, every citizen has a right to privacy over their medical condition / records and does not have to divulge any information about it / them unless it impacts directly on another individual. If your ailment affects the organisation in which you work, then obviously there will be those within it that have to be 'aware' of certain aspects - but probably only on a very limited basis.

Catherine has had abdominal surgery. We don't know why. And I personally cannot see an earthly reason why we should.

Galaxy Wed 13-Mar-24 21:31:59

I dont think commenting on the reports that newspapers pulled a photo due to editing is demanding to know about her surgery. I am after the last few years highly wary of any organisation/political party/social movement/theory that requires people not to comment on facts.

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 21:34:35

Why demands to see Catherine, why demands to know cause of surgery

5553n Wed 13-Mar-24 21:42:49

It's all nonsense and not what K&W need

Galaxy Wed 13-Mar-24 21:43:21

I am not.
I am pointing out if your institution requires you not to comment on things that are actually happening then your institution is in a lot of trouble.

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 21:45:02

Reporting the photograph had been pulled, didn’t stop there did it

flappergirl Wed 13-Mar-24 21:50:38

Royal aides/secretaries have handled this very badly and not for the first time. No, we don't need every detail, but absolutely no news whatsoever is going to fuel all sorts of theories. Like it or not, the RF are public figures and are paid for the privilege. If the President of the United States went missing for months, similar theories would abound.

The apology she apparently wrote was also utterly ridiculous. It was reminiscent of the Fawlty Towers episode (Waldorf Salad) where Basil presents an "an apology from the chef".

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 21:53:53

We were told Catherine had an operation and wouldn’t be working until after Easter. Her apology was to the point, no
waffling

Kensington Palace and Communications Secretary Lee Thompson have made a mess of communications to do with the Princess’s hospital treatment and now this photo business.

For an otherwise fit young woman, whatever surgery she had, the recovery seems to be taking a long time. Two months now? It’s hard to understand why she is not making any public appearances at all, even just an orchestrated walk in public with the Prince and their children.

Anybody who has had abdominal surgery will know that the hospital will have you up walking the next day and that gentle, progressive exercise is a vital part of recovery.

Tabloids today are listing 16 things wrong with the photo editing. It should never have been released. This together with the failure to appear in public is manna for the tabloids and the conspiracy theorists. To issue a photo showing the Princess looking apparently fit and healthy, beautiful hair, wearing tight fitting jeans, smiling and holding her children but not well enough to make a public appearance?

As Caroline Davies wrote in Monday’s Guardian:

And trust is what was at stake here for the royal couple. The late Queen Elizabeth II used to say she had to be “seen to be believed”. Now the public, and media, were questioning whether they could believe what they were seeing.

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/mar/11/palace-dismay-as-attempt-to-dispel-princess-of-wales-rumours-misfires

Kensington Palace needs to get a grip and make a statement about what is going on.

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 22:03:33

What rumours ? What is going on ? We have been informed-
she is recovering from abdominal surgery

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 22:06:15

You forgot no wedding band 😱 :

You are intent on arguing with anyone who puts a logical case Sarcasm using juvenile emojis won't help your argument.

Deedaa Wed 13-Mar-24 22:20:36

We were told she would be out of action until after Easter, yet we have people wanting to know where she is! And as for the fuss about the photo! What do some people think has happened? She's lost a limb, or been swapped for a body double?

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 22:31:17

I am sure Catherine is having excellent medical advice and guidance TinSoldier you want her to have a press call so she can strut up and down the garden with cameras popping, perhaps you have been watching Crufts, which should be banned

Logical case for what?

We were told she would be out of action until after Easter, yet we have people wanting to know where she is!
This!

TinSoldier why do you think it's your right to know exactly the nature of the medical procedure and why the Princess of Wales is not going out in public at the moment?

She is not Head of State, the sky will not fall in if she does not appear in public for a few months.

Rosie51 Wed 13-Mar-24 22:37:35

Before she had the surgery it was announced for how long she would be absent from public appearances. That timescale has not been extended at this point. We have no idea what abdominal surgery she's had, and have zero right to know. I trust the doctors charged with her care to have sound ideas of how to manage her recovery. Maybe walking is still slow and painful, she should expose herself to more analysis just to sate public nosiness interest?

Anniebach Wed 13-Mar-24 22:42:47

An orchestrated walk with her children? this is a send up
