Good morning from Glasgow. Grey skies and rain so far.

As NHS don’t do podiatry home visits I have arranged for a private podiatrist to visit this afternoon for both of us. Unfortunately the treatment required is beyond my skills and this will be the highlight of our day. Oh dear!

Enjoy your holiday Oops
Hope the day passes quickly for you Grandmabatty. Childcare is exhausting enough without feeling unwell too.
Handmade anything from our GC is always a bit more special
glammagran. Such a sweet drawing.

Have a good day all and hopefully a better one for those with illness and worries.

Good morning from Durham. It’s wet again here. Very vivid dreams last night that my car was stolen, driven around and returned, at which point, I confronted the thieves!
Coffee this morning with a friend, then must sort out my home insurance - the new premium quoted on my reminder, is far higher than cover by the same provider quoted online. Also have a recommendation to contact a company for an estimate to tackle a lot of rotten wood trim around the house. Fiddly and expensive!
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from a grey and so far dry Suffolk. Sorry to read of several GNs feeling under the weather and hope you feel less tired and better as the day goes on.

I’m meeting a dear friend today and arrangements still to be made. If the weather stays dry we’ll have a walk first otherwise it will be coffee which often extends into lunch. We always find lots to laugh about..a real tonic.

Good morning from another grey and rainy Black Country.

Luckily it didn't rain on our walk yesterday. Did just over 6 miles.

Gym this morning, which is closing next week, so like brook will have to find somewhere else. Only paying £9.99 per month, so doubt will get that deal elsewhere.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning all. What dismal weather this is, isn't it - no rain on the Angus coast but there will be by lunchtime. Oh joy! But on the bright side, it's not windy now and a wander round the garden yesterday showed how far Spring has sprung with more daffodils in bloom and the leaves beginning to unfurl on the clematis which runs along the fence by the garden room.
Sorry you are still feeling so poorly Grandmabatty - I hope little DGS2 is an angel for you today
Happy holidays Oops.
Worrying news Gingster.
Today for me is Tai chi and shopping - usual Tuesday - with just relaxing and staying cosy planned for the afternoon 😉. Thank goodness for daytime TV!
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning from a wet thoroughly miserable South Downs.

I shall be out soon squelching through the mud and puddles.

There was a stand off in the garden yesterday between Tofu and Nuts - the squirrel, who sat flicking his tail like mad at Tofu who was sat on the fence. It seemed to end in a stalemate, but if I was Nuts I wouldn’t push my luck, - Tofu is a big cat whose hunting prowess is well known. According to his owner he takes most of his kill back home.

DS gave me a bucket full of sweet peas for MD - along with flowers and chocolates, so I will sort that out today - it comes with compost and seeds. I think they are dwarf sweet peas. I can stand in the greenhouse out of the rain.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to the world.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's not cold but no sunshine.
I taught my Canadian volunteers 2 new Scottish words yesterday, both relating to the weather:
Dreich and Drookit
They told me their hometown is known as Rain-couver.

I'm tired after a busy day so hope to be slower today. Gaelic class this evening.

I hope Grandmabatty is feeling better.
Yes we all feel ill occasionally but unlike you, most of us aren't looking after toddlers!

Have the best day you can everyone. Enjoy your holiday Oops
I laughed at Matt Urms grin

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow.

Mick chatting and enjoying company is a great reason for messing up your routine.

I survived my trip to the dealership, excepted for going round a car park the wrong way and blocking the road. I couldn't work out why I couldn't reverse, until I realised the car was in neutral. 😂
There are never any spaces at the dealership, but I managed to squeeze the car ( bigger than my previous one) into a very tight space. The salesman asked had I used the cameras, I said I forgot about them and used my mirrors, as usual. He was most impressed!😁

I'm sorry to hear you are still unwell GMB,
Baubles enjoy your chat and Oops, something to look forward to.

I am struggling badly just now, pain and chronic fatigue from my RA are making life troublesome. A gentle day for me I think. It's very difficult to stay positive. However, I know that it will pass 🤞

Have the best day you can.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s raining.
I drove home yesterday after a lovely weekend with the DDs. We were out shopping on Saturday, freezing in the high winds watching DGS play football on Sunday morning and enjoyed dinner together on Sunday evening. I have lovely cards and presents too.
I have some admin to do today then if it stops raining a walk or some gardening. History Society tonight.
Have a good day everyone.

GrannySomerset Tue 12-Mar-24 08:25:46

Been raining since the early hours and looks to be set for the morning. History society committee meeting and supermarket run the plans for today and that feels like enough effort. Like several regular posters, I seem to have run out of energy and need to be recharged, though I don’t quite know how.

Good morning all from a very wet Black country.
Picking boys up later from their childminders and then back to theirs for dinner/tea.
👋 Urms nice to see you posting.
Hope the poorlies feel a bit better throughout the day
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️

Good morning all.

Steady rain here north of Leicester. I'm just about to pop next door to feed the cat. Lucky neighbours soaking up the sun. I'm not the jealous type but I would love some March sunshine.

The mini drafts look lovely even in the rain and the Spanish Flag tulips just ready to open up when the sun decides to appear.

Nothing much planned today so maybe back to sorting photographs.

Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey, damp Carlisle.

Yesterday I actually got out in the garden after lunch. I did a little weeding and put out my obelisks so I can see what room is left for my potatoes--which are sprouting nicely.

Today, more housework and laundry followed by admin and an afternoon of pleasurable stuff...I have managed to get halfway through The Brothers Karamazov, what a genius Dostoevsky is!

Grammaretto, Vancouver is one of my favourite cities and it's always been lovely weather there for me. I know of its rainy reputation though and have heard that slugs are mega-sized!

I hope all you sufferers have a better day, especially if you're looking after little ones GMB.

Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton, just pouring with rain. Unless there is a drastic change, I don't think I shall be joining the walking group this afternoon.

So it's another day indoors; thinking about re-arranging furniture; I have a large 'cat-tree' (a cat climbing frame/perch) in my sitting room, which they hardly ever use, and cannot think where else to put it, so maybe some experimenting today. Apart from that, more reading and pottering.

May Tuesday be kind to us all.

hollysteers Tue 12-Mar-24 09:40:05

Good morning Mick and all from a wet 6° northwest coast.
Saw consultant re my large hernia yesterday and it looks as if I will have surgery later in the year, which I’m not looking forward to. I will have another X-ray etc and see him again, it’s up to me and not sure what to do. It does affect my life but the thought of the procedure and recovery is a bore…

Anyhoo I’m off to the music club and on the desk today, so will have a warm up with my songs.
Hope your friends’s son turns up Gingster and thoughts to all with worries 🌺

hollysteers Tue 12-Mar-24 09:59:48

Thinking of you Blossoming.

Good morning from a very wet and dismal East Midlands. Out for my walk this morning even though it was pouring down. Good for the head when depression is taking over.
