Morning from a wet S Hants, sorry to hear you’re under the weather Grandmabatty I do hope the boys are on their best behaviour today.
Exciting Oops.
Yesterday was quite busy on the voluntary phone, we’re short of drivers so I had to disappoint some people.

Good morning all

Met up in Marlborough yesterday with DS and DinLaw. It was great to see them and their lovely dog. We went to a pub (for coffee) on the high street which welcomes dogs. More pressies from them. Then we drove back and picked up DGD3 from school who was great fun. Today it’s DGS2 who is being picked up earlier as his mum has an earlier than usual work call. Card was made by DGD3 for Mother’s Day showing us both. I was very touched.

DD2 sent out online wedding invitations last night. Beautifully designed with a template from Etsy. The cost saving is considerable as the price of stamps has gone through the roof.

I’m sorry you are still not feeling well Grandmabatty. It’s so hard looking after small people when you are unwell.

Wishing everyone a good Tuesday. I think it’s going to be a soggy one.

Morning all from a wet and grey looking West Oxfordshire.
I have a fair bit of admin to do for next week’s WI AGM. I should bite the bullet and get on with it!
OH is out this evening at his shooting club and I’ll be at a friend’s.
Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with worries.

Grandmabatty Tue 12-Mar-24 06:51:30

GrandMattie thank you. Cornergran sorry for the moaning. I'm aware that others have a much harder deal than me and don't complain. I'm not a good patient!

Morning Mick, morning All from a soggy corner of Somerset. Seems the weather is back to normal.

Began emptying yesterday, two hours and we were shattered. We’ll carry on today once the grocery delivery is here.

The evening was different to our usual with teenagers outnumbering parents and grandparents. Our granddaughter was happy, the atmosphere relaxed and so nice to have nothing to do with food production. A bit of a re-run tomorrow evening when her sister begins her 18th birthday celebrations.

Sounds as if you need a quiet day grandmab, hope you’re much better very soon.

Enjoy what you can of the day everyone.

Dry and bright in Co Durham, hope it lasts I’ve got bedding to wash and like it dried outside.
Missed GN for a couple of days. Hope everyone is ok.
Oops have a lovely holiday.

grandMattie Tue 12-Mar-24 06:40:32

Yes, very easy, grandmab. I follow a Waitrose recipe I found online.
Basically, you chop the veggies, salt them overnight, rinse out and cook in the vinegary liquor until ready…. I put less sugar, but you can fiddle about with the recipe after doing it once.

Good morning from the east coast of Fife where it’s already light outside with a wind which I can hear and it looks like it’s going to be fairly cold - not that I’m outside I’m looking from my cosy bed and my ring doorbell. 🤣 my school chum is visiting today, she’s a gem , she’s bringing me eggs and rolls and I’ll continue tv watching now that I’ve bought Sky films at a greatly reduced cost

Keep safe my friends

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and damp. Enjoy your holiday Oops. I've never tried making piccalilli, GrandMattie. Is it easy?
Yesterday was a bit of a trial because I'm still under the weather. The boys were good but I was exhausted. I dropped them off and lay down for an hour before I could face tidying up.
My appetite has disappeared too. Fortunately I made two plates up last night and one is ready for the microwave later today. I think I'm just too tired to cook. I'm a bit fed up of feeling unwell.
Today will be another quiet day for dgs2 and I. He was complaining about a sore ear yesterday afternoon so I hope that's gone. Have a good day all

Good morning, it’s pouring down rain here in south Glos, it woke me up at about 1.30 and I’ve been awake ever since.
Nothing planned for today apart from an Ocado delivery first thing so I can do as little as I like. The dog’s joined me on the bed, I have a coffee and i can hear the rain beating on the window.
Take care everyone 🌹

Good morning from Malta where it’s sunny and 17°C with a very windy day forecast.

I was up very early watching tennis and have just arrived at DD3’s. Both boys still asleep.😴 😴

Where are you off to Oops? Good luck with your packing.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good from dark South Lanarkshire, the rain is staying away for the moment.

It’s almost coffee time here and since I’m awake I’ll go down and make it. DH will have set out the cups and saucers and ground the beans during one of his nightly wanderings.

I’m meeting a Gransnetter friend for coffee this afternoon and have no real plans for the morning. I’m sure I’ll find something that needs doing though.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a wet Bristol. It rained on and off all night.
I had a quiet day day yesterday, a Tesco shop and home all afternoon. I spent a lot of it preparing vegetables for piccalilli which I shall cook today. They are salting ATM, ready for rinsing and cooking. They’ll need maturing for at least 6 weeks sale, otherwise the taste of vinegar is horrible.
Today is even quieter. Nothing happening other than preserving.
I hope today is kind to all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a wet Oxfordshire.
Packing today for our holiday tomorrow,
Have a good day everyone.

karmalady Tue 12-Mar-24 06:00:20

Good morning, there is a lot of rain in s somerset today

Yesterday was a productive and relaxing day. I did a bit of re-purposing and a small bit of de-cluttering. Nighties were cut into underwear and zip locked for future sewing. Bits and bobs thrown out

I am going to make a pot of soup today, enough for three freezer portions and three for the fridge. Seriously, no other plans but positive days always evolve here.

Have a good day
