For me the sun was shining managed a lovely walk. While walking saw a squirrel and lots of butterflies and birds. Stopped to chat to several people as the sun brought more people outdoors and it felt like spring is finally getting here.

Received a face time call from all of my grandchildren who have met for a few days. It is rare they are all together as they live opposite ends of the country.

I’m another who can be made to smile seeing birds in the garden.
Today it was a small flock of goldfinches squabbling as they landed in the Rowan tree to wait for the sunflower seeds to be put out. No sunshine though.

The sun is shining and I’m off for a walk with the dogs.😊

It was yesterday, but a) the rain stopped and the sun came out, so I was able to walk the 15 minutes to the post office, and b) on the way I passed a glorious mass of grape hyacinths.

Debussy was playing on my local classical radio program while I made dinner , just a simple
Breakfast for dinner tonight but the music was delightful

A trip to the theatre - "The Mousetrap" - really enjoyed it.

I got my hearing aid back. It had been lost in the post by the carrying company so a new one had to be made. I've misssed it.

Knowing that this view is only ten minutes away from me. Total reset since moving. Absolute bliss. Highly recommended!

I made some bread. Made a cup of tea and a slice of buttered bread bliss.

I met my friend for lunch (and cake), and had a good catch-up for 4 hours

I managed to mop my hall.
Its about the best I can do today, so it's better than the last three weeks. blush

Mammogram - just a routine check - in Morrisons carpark. All done and dusted in 10 minutes so I was finished and on my way home before my actual appointment time.

And it didn't rain until after i got back home. Marvellous!

I'm feeling better. Had some weird bug which made me feel rotten. But it seems to be gone.

I could smell the grass being cut as I walked past a man clearing a grass verge. It smelt so good and made me feel spring is here at last.

Getting my grass cut before the deluge that is promised!

I bought myself a terracotta pot with side gaps in which to plant my strawberries.

My nephew came round to sort out a small problem with my roof - he wouldn’t take payment so I “paid” him in freshly baked scones! He said it was better than money! He ate two and I gave him the rest to take home.

My washing has fried and I’ve mown my lawn. The joy of a striped lawn! ( Even if it mostly moss!)

Callistemon21 Tue 26-Mar-24 17:01:56

And a lovely man came to give the lawns their first cut smile

This morning I was woken very early by a blackbird singing away only just outside in the garden. He was very musical and sounded cheerful; it made me think that there are some good things happening in the world.

Kate 1949 that would have made my day too. I adore children and love to see them smiling.

Our 5 year old next door neighbour came to the door with her mum to thank me for an Easter egg I had given her mum for her. They are Muslim and obviously don't celebrate Easter but they bring us sweets round at Eid. This child, who hides behind her mum usually when we see her, had the biggest smile on her face as she came round clutching the egg. She said 'Thank you SO much for my egg'. It gladdened my heart. smile
