Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 9°C.

We are busy bees this morning, don’t want to waste the sunshine! Laundry is in progress. I have helped Mr. B to set up and access the NHS app. It really is much easier than having to make multiple phone calls to very busy lines. The initial set up is tricky but once up and running it’s fine. I have accessed his blood test results, we are both surprised to see that his Cholesterol is 6.76, as he eats healthily and has a 2 mile daily walk. The statins should take care of that. There was a message waiting for him to book a Cardiology appointment at the hospital so that’s sorted now.

I haven’t read the thread yet, will catch up later. Glad your eye is less painful Grandmattie.

Good morning from a sunny Lanzarote, MrOops has a suntan whilst I have to put my cardi on if I go outside. At home he sits next to the radiator, shivering, whilst I am hot! Not sure what’s going on here.
He’s in the pool swimming at the moment, I have towels wrapped around me and a hot drink , too cold for me.
Lots going on at home, so not a relaxing time for us.
But hey ho.
Let’s hope we can all have a good day today without frantic phone calls……

I leave for Berkshire with DD soon, staying with her until Tuesday. So will pop things in a bag and freeze some perishables in the fridge. Neighbours will feed our joint semi detached cat. DD has had a busy time catching up with old friends and is driving, which I enjoy.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, a dry day.forecast.

After getting up especially early yesterday morning to await the arrival of the gardener, I looked at my messages to find one from him saying he was laid up in bed feeling very fluey, and would re-schedule. Another message late afternoon and rebooked for the second week in April...
Well, I looked at the grass out the back which was beginning to look jungle-like, and decided I had better cut it myself. So at 5pm I was out with my trusty lawn mower, and did the bottom half of my huge lawn, (the other half is not too bad). Almost filled one green bin. If it stays dry I shall do the rest this weekend.

Tap and ballet classes this morning, then this afternoon I shall make a curry, and then read my new book, The Other Bennett Sister, which is a novel based loosely on Pride and Prejudice, about the 'plain' middle sister Mary.

Must get my skates on, or should that be tap shoes, and get ready to dance!

Grandmattie what a day! I'm sorry you had all that to go through just now, but glad you live somewhere where all that specialist knowledge is available. On the plus side, it certainly kept your mind off other things! Anyway, so glad your eye is on the mend. NOW lovely lady, please take time to rest and catch your breath - as karma says, your body and mind both need it.

That's as far as I have read in the posts before realising I don't have time this morning to read them all. I'm off to the Balance clinic this morning. We show the patients some tai chi and then get them to have a try. Most do the upper body moves from sitting while some like to get up and try the first few moves - it depends on the group. Anyway that will keep me out of mischief for a couple of hours.
Yesterday's regular tai chi session was very enjoyable, with lots of discussion showing that they're all thinking through the 'whys?' now, which will lead to a deeper understanding of their body movements (which is why tai chi is good for balance).
Just received a text from DD saying she and the girls have landed in Portugal at the start of a very short - two days - break of fun in the sun 🤞🌞

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but breezy Carlisle. I don't mind it being a little cooler if I can see a blue sky, so uplifting. Had a moan about the weather with the Tesco delivery man yesterday....he's a frustrated gardener too.

My expensive new mattress has done nothing for my back though I'm certainly sleeping a lot better. The back problem is complicated by the fact that the pills I've taken for it for decades and which have been very helpful, changed their formulation a few months ago. One main ingredient was changed for a plant-based one. It's not absolutely chemically identical and maybe my body knows that! Not sure what to do about it really.

Today, a few pottering about useful jobs and maybe a walk if the weather continues as it is, plus I might do a bit of baking just to use up a few items in the stock cupboard.

Good morning to you all.
I have a very itchy, raised red rash where the electrodes of my 48 hour ecg were attached to my skin last week. I’ve now put hydrocortisone cream on and hope it will go.

Both GC were great on Monday and Tuesday. GS is being potty trained and in 3 weeks, has not had a single accident. He did have his worst ever tantrum accompanying his sister to school on Monday, which continued on into the playground because his mum couldn’t carry him. A teacher came out to offer assistance and DD was mortified to hear another mother comment it was the worst meltdown she’d ever witnessed. The other GP’s had 3 boys who never had tantrums and are all very easy going.

More wet weather is forecast for the next week going into Easter. When will it ever end?

GM that was a very long wait for you yesterday. I’m glad the eye drops are having an effect. That’s not a condition I’d heard of. Gingster I hope your daughter is feeling better today and GrannyGravy’s back has eased. Marydoll don’t overdo things.

Another damp day in prospect and I am so tired of grey skies but there is nothing to be done other than endure it. Oldies coffee morning but although much improved I am still dizzy if I move suddenly so perhaps I will give it a miss. On the other hand, I need the social contact after several days of not seeing anyone so I ought to try. Decisions, decisions …

Re school holiday break for Easter. Our daughter finishes work this afternoon. L’il Miss next Thursday. The Boy Wonder the week after that and for two weeks. All in Trafford schools too.
Crazy.

Good morning from a very bright, cold and windy day here on the east coast of Fife.
I was awakened very early with the dawn chorus but I’m lucky to have fallen asleep again.

I’m going out to my local club today, unfortunately I’ve to get a taxi there because my carers hrs have changed, she’ll come and pick me up and we’ll go to Sainsburys for a few things and of course the Easter eggs for my dear GC who are visiting me tomorrow.🤣

Thinking of those less fortunate than me God bless every one.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The 🌞 is shining!

My Helpers leave today so last night was Scots Night. They had Haggis, neeps and tatties with a slug of whisky one hated it so I had to help her out
They even endured a rendition by me from Burns.

We talked about illnesses and the NHS and how lucky we, and they are in Canada, to not be in USA with the burden of medical bills.

I shall miss them though I'm due a few days of rest from decluttering.

My volunteer job this morning.

Good morning from a mild but wet Colchester. I went back to sleep when DH got up and have only just surfaced.
The heating bumping on usually wakes me but it hasn't been needed this week.
We have no plans except needing a big shop.
DS found out yesterday that he has Easter leave and so will be home tonight for an unspecified length of time.
Schools break up here on Thursday and have the 2 weeks after Easter off.

Yesterday turned out to be much busier than I expected but it was a constructive day in which I steadily got through with a welcome break meeting up with my cousin for a coffee catch up after doing our shopping at Waitrose. It will be an at home day and weather permitting I may be lucky enough to spend some time in the garden.

For the first time ever I requested assistance getting my suitcase on and off the trains. Pleasant journey.
I think the plan for today is a visit to Boundary Mill. Not sure where it is, but not too far away.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and sunny. We've had heavy rain overnight and there are still raindrops on the windows but beautiful blue skies now. GrandMattie you have had a terrible time recently. I'm glad you were seen about your eye. Susan I'm a big fan of lists! Cornergran fingers crossed that the doors are sorted today. Bellasnana a happy birthday to your dd.
Yesterday was a quiet day again but I needed it. I fell asleep in the afternoon for a couple of hours and that put me out of sorts for the rest of the day. I went to bed really early and amazingly slept really well with only a couple of toilet breaks.
Today dd is going to nip in with dgs2 as part of a Friday tradition. I look forward to it. If it stays dry, I'll get into the garden for a while. It's looking scraggy and needs tidying. I will definitely need to go to Aldi as I'm out or nearly out of most essentials. Have a good day all.

Good morning all I’m homeward bound with a flight from Málaga early afternoon. If all’s straightforward I shall be able to give Himself a great big hug at 5pm. I’ve enjoyed my holiday very much but I’ve missed my darling man. That said, FaceTime has been a great way to keep in touch.

Morning all from a grey S E Essex, I am longing for a blue sky…

My plans changed yesterday afternoon, I saw my GP Wednesday am about a lump on my scalp and was told she would refer me, I had a phone call yesterday am to ask if I could go into the clinic at 4.15pm so I cleared the decks and off I trotted. I should hear from the Consultant within 5-7 days. Not sure if I should be impressed with the NHS or scared due to their hastiness.

I need to sort out clothes for upcoming family holiday (4 AC and wives, 6GC, my sister and DH and their two DD’s). The children range from 4 - 15 I desperately need my back to be better and my mojo to be on 100% I know what this group of Imps have planned for me 😱🤣

We can tell when the sea is rough as the seagulls take up residence on the field next to us 😡

Mick heart and lung issues do make us more susceptible to feeling the cold. I find layering works. I am usually in a fur coat, with multiple layers and DH is usually wearing a t shirt!

A long day for you, GM, but pleased to hear there is already some improvement. Best to get these things checked out.

Baubles, I know what you mean. After an unexpectedly long day with Babydoll yesterday, I messaged DD, saying I had decided to have no more children with DH, it's too much like hard work. 😆
We thought we had won a watch, when they dropped the baby off, no need to travel the twenty minutes to their home. However, we had totally misunderstood.
The plan was they were going to drop their car home, get the train to town and make a day of it!

Babydoll had been at a photoshoot at a local photographer's (he had been looking for models) and was beautifully dressed. Not for long!
She devoured her first tine bowl of home made chicken soup, so I gave her some mixed berries and left papa in charge. How could I have been so foolish to expect him to be vigilant!
Despite a Van Gogh style smock, which had been Dollie's, her beautiful, cream trousers were stained a bright shade of cerise pink. I did have the foresight to take off her top, but her vest now had a beautiful pink polka dot pattern. 🤣
Vanish stain remover is one of life's miracle inventions!!
If only she had taken the cucumber, DIL had originally left for her, but she threw it at me in disgust! That girl knows what she likes!!
As we left DS' at 6.30pm, still not having had dinner, I said to Mr MD. I am too tired to cook, l"et's go to the chippy at the bottom of the road.^The food was like nectar!^ I finished it off with a slice of the delicious Star Wars birthday cake, DD made for DS.
DS was forty two yesterday an got a new, Star Wars Light Saber, to add to his collection.
He has never grown up!

Gingster, I hope your daughter got the support she needs and that GrannyGray is now able to move with less pain.

This week has been full on, so a quick trip to Sainsbury's and then in for the day.
I had another episode of night terrors last night ( I don't know what is going on), I am pretty exhausted.
