I understand you Witzend, and I think others will too. Your post was not intended to show any malice, (neither was mine, nor others' comments here before the devastating news). The criticism would have been better levelled at those on another thread who gossiped about William's infidelity and Catherine's workshyness. I guess it was just the unfortunate timing of this thread. Hopefully now that brave family will be left alone by all.

I don’t mind at all if GN pulls it. But just to be clear, I liked it because (to me, anyway) it was taking the P out of all the ghouls, the conspiracy theorists, and all the grossly distasteful and intrusive nosiness.

There was entirely no malice on anyone's part early this afternoon on this thread. It's how people behave once they have the knowledge that matters. If I have been jokey on occasions, then I apologise, but I have never felt anything other than sympathy for William, Catherine and the children themselves.

So many jokes and comments were bandied around. Now at know why the silence. Criticism of William not attending the memorial. That was the moment he'd found out she had cancer. So much gossip. Hopefully that will stop now
