Just checked the weather forecast tonight, and it’s there in black and white, the next thirteen days will be rainy!
My garden doesn’t need it, nor the dog, the butts are full, I’m really fed up now, moral of this tale of woe, don’t look at the forecast ☹️

Yesterday I actually had a gin at the gin bench, my garden, and the sun was shining! Blissful, really lifted my spirits, however back to thick doom and gloom today ………..

SueDonim Sat 30-Mar-24 23:00:57

We had some sunshine today, about 10deg but later on a period of torrential rain and hail and the temperature dropped like a stone! Luckily we were in the car, not walking, but the hail was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other.

Beautiful typical spring day here today not a drop of rain insight.Even the wind dropped, it was hot and lovely, we walked for 2hours and enjoyed every second.

Remember your clocks tonight by the way

I went for a walk yesterday and got sunshine, rain and hail ! But I enjoyed the walk - knew I'd end up inside my house and felt good about being there and just knowing it was how it was.

MissAdventure Sat 30-Mar-24 18:23:56

I blame Harry and Meghan.

Etoile2701 Sat 30-Mar-24 17:59:11

I blame Brexit.

You're right, I've just realised my allergies are late kicking in, let's hope we don't get wolloped when we dry out grin

mae13 Sat 30-Mar-24 16:39:19

Yeah, but it'll only take 72 hours without rain and the powers-that-be will be muttering about droughts and standpipes.

Anyway, if you own a water but then be very glad - I'm not sure the stuff coming from the taps is safe anymore with all these horror stories about raw sewage discharges.

Jaxjacky

Glorious sun here in S Hampshire, a few fluffy clouds, tomorrow is forecast dry but cloudy, Monday returns to ☔️.

Same here. Sat outside our local cafe having a coffee this morning followed by a few hours of gardening.

Sorry to all those still getting rained on - don't mean to rub salt in the wound. Looks like we're back to rain all week next week.

MissAdventure Sat 30-Mar-24 15:55:57

I'm off to get my hopefully dry washing in. smile

Taichinan

I made that mistake too Nanny except I think I might get washing out on Friday between the showers. It really is depressing isn't it. Add in the wind coming out of Siberia and you have misery. But what can we do? Just pin the smile in place and pile the winter woolies back on. Hey ho.

My mother would have been horrified to see washing out on Good Friday! I did put some out one year and was sure she was watching me disapprovingly from up above.

sharon103 Sat 30-Mar-24 15:35:52

A bit cold here but at least the sun's shining in where I am in Northants.
I hope for the same tomorrow. I need to cut the lawn. It's the longest I've ever seen it.
Fingers crossed.

Grantanow Sat 30-Mar-24 15:28:54

All this rain: I blame the government!

AGAA4

My ideal weather is sunny but not too warm, gentle breeze to keep it fresh and not a cloud in sight.
Instead I get the rain bucketing down and a chilly wind to help it along.

Me too AGA. This type of weather is hard to be found in Scotland where I live. Feels like it's been raining since Autumn with only the odd day here are there when the sun comes out - and that's usually just before sunset! My garden is a quagmire!

LizH13 Sat 30-Mar-24 14:53:07

Clocks go forward tonight - 1 hours less rain 😉

tonib321 Sat 30-Mar-24 14:07:08

Yep I feel you I'm sick of emptying my water butt which is right at the bottom of my Slopey garden n is flooding my garage! Not to mention that the useless council still haven't sorted the problem out! Why do i pay rent....but I spose we shouldn't moan there are people out there doing rain dances just to get a few drops🤷‍♀️

MissAdventure Sat 30-Mar-24 13:45:31

My washing is still out.
I've made the mistake of leaving it for too long, all this week.
Then it suddenly rains, and it's back to square one.

undines Sat 30-Mar-24 13:38:43

Lovely morning, sunny, put up washing line first time this year
Hung out washing...and, lo and behold, down came the rain! I should've known!

Witzend Sat 30-Mar-24 13:27:23

Warm and sunny here today! I sat out for the first time.
How long it’ll last is of course another matter.

grandtanteJE65 Sat 30-Mar-24 13:23:47

Well, the weather forecast may not be right!

Here Thursday and Friday's forecasts were for pouring rain just when I would be heading either to church or home again. Not a drop fell!

Today's forecast was likewise pouring rain all day - three drops at about quarter to ten - none since.

What do we do about it? Force politicians to ban all fossil fuels within a very short space of time and stop using your cars. Buy an electric cargo bike instead! Or at least, an electric car!

Stop using plastic, and any and all chemicals that damage the environment.

We have known all this since we were schoolgirls of 13 or 14 and most of us have chosen to ignore our knowledge - now we are paying for our stupidity.

N4nna Sat 30-Mar-24 13:23:10

I’d rather have rain ☔️ than snow ❄️
