Just checked the weather forecast tonight, and it’s there in black and white, the next thirteen days will be rainy!
My garden doesn’t need it, nor the dog, the butts are full, I’m really fed up now, moral of this tale of woe, don’t look at the forecast ☹️

Oh no….and I’m flying into the UK tomorrow for a ten day visit to relatives…..and the thought of ten days of rain when I’m without a car and maneuvering public transport …..and I’ve a lovely little air bnb apartment facing the seafront - hoping for beautiful sunrises and sunsets during my visit…..oh dear, this doesn’t bode well!

Glorious day for park run today !!

From what I have read, it is quite possible that this will be our weather pattern in the future. Long wet winters, cool damp summers: something to do with the Gulf Stream changing its course.
Invest in wellies and souwesters!

Lovely sunny day here in greater London, have the doors open! Has made me want to clean so have done the floors and the bathroom.

I have a new spring jacket and some spring like dresses I am very eager to wear.I am fed up with huge puffer coats that make look and feel like an Oompah Loopah.

I hope we dont go straight to heatwave,I will cheated of the chance to show off my new jacket🤣

you could post up a picture/s? we can then admire and be well jell?!

I had a full length caramel coloured puffer coat my OH said I looked like a well insulated immersion tank (tall amd cylindrical???}

My daughter and grandaughter were coming Monday for a couple of days but backed out because of the dire weather
by mutual agreement, a long joirney on the motoway in torrential rain, I worry about her aquaplaning, or poor visibility.

Its all very well saying ‘right clothes’ etc, but! then coming home with dripping brollies, wet clothes and boots, trousers in the washer, immediate showers, then wet towels its all too much.
Its drier today east of Oxford, the town here is quiet apart from a light plane buzzing like an oversized demented gnat, meant to be dry tomorrow in south Oxfordshire, then back to rain,
at least we are not flooded like many poor people.
Fields here are flooded though, farmers mist be despairing.

Can anyone remember one year when it rained for months was it 1960?

It was frosty this morning, 5deg, much better

Apparently we are going to have a ridiculously hot spell at some point, Nannan2

Phwoar! What a scorcher! type weather.

I shall be complaining like mad then, too. smile

It doesn't feel much like drying weather out there today, but I've still hung me "smalls" out, in the hope that I will finally be able to get rid of the big clothes horse in my living room.

Budleigh Salterton. They're putting up the beach huts now.

The sea looks a bit choppy but exhilarating.
We did go househunting there years ago 🙂

MissAdventure Fri 29-Mar-24 16:24:31

I'm none the wiser, but it looks absolutely beautiful.
Just nice for a saunter.

Where is it?

Joseann Fri 29-Mar-24 16:15:30

A bit of tea time sunshine just now. Choppy waves.

We’ve had rain, sun, blue skies and now it’s dark and raining

Callistemon21 Fri 29-Mar-24 16:14:36

I could see the torrential rain through my binoculars.

MissAdventure Fri 29-Mar-24 16:13:58

Oh thanks.
Makes me feel a bit better.

My little island does sometimes miss out on rain, when five minutes away its pis..... pouring down.

Well, it's been dry today, I think, but I have been asleep again (gnashes teeth!) so have missed out on putting the washing out to dry.

Just as well, I think it did rain over your way.

It's sunny again - dare I go out and tidy my garden pots?

I did, just came in for a cuppa and it's raining again!

JamesandJon33 Fri 29-Mar-24 15:00:29

Hurrah! I put washing on the line this morning. Just brought it in as it looked ‘a bit dark over aunt Maude’s. The heavens have opened

Nor here. At least there is some respite.
