Good morning from a very sunny. Quiet day today after a fabulous birthday yesterday. A visit from my eldest son and a lovely long phone call from my youngest son. My world is complete. Had a lovely meal out last night with hubby and a birthday to cut today. Belgian chocolate and raspberry cake, ah bliss. Happy days to everyone.

Scapa the Lake of Monteith was always a favourite spot for curling in days gone by. Enjoy your childcare free days.

My stomach seems to have settled for the moment and I had a much better night. Fingers crossed it stays that way. I have bought some Easter goodies from the chocolate factory in Orton and I hope to enjoy them, MrB and I have been eating more healthily and seldom have sweet treats.

Good morning from a wet and chilly Stirlingshire. Husband off curling this morning and I must go out for some food shopping. Then it's waiting in to see if someone comes to see about replacing roughcasting on our garage as some fell off when getting the new garage door. Love the door though it is an electric one so no more stretching up for a vertically challenged person like myself. Ds and his family off on holiday for two weeks so it will be quiet here with no childcare duties. I will miss it. Nothing planned for Easter, will just have a nice dinner ourselves. Thought with those with worries.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton; half an hour ago it was bright and sunny 🌞 so I hastily put a load of washing on...... we shall see.

A good book club yesterday (although most of the time was spent putting the world to rights!), enhanced by a glass of cremant and fresh cream sponge.

Am expecting an engineer to arrive today to fix my oven - I think the heating element has gone - and had a text earlier to say he will visit between 12 and 3. A Sainsbury's delivery due late morning, and apart from that a gentle pottering day.

Haircut shortly then U3A book group to discuss William Hague’s excellent biography of William Wilberforce. Hope others enjoyed it as much as I did. Then a big shop now I have decided what to feed the family over Easter, not forgetting oat milk for DGD and Earl Grey tea for DD. That will constitute a full day for me! Hope all the various battles (pendants and dog walking) are resolved and various bugs clear up - mine has although I can’t turn my head quickly without everything spinning.

I am feeling so much better this morning. The 'bug' symptoms have finally subsided. Oh the hazards of international travel!!
Not too much planned for today. First a visit to the fish man & his van which is conveniently parked right next to Lidl. So a mooch Lidl's middle aisle is on the cards. There is also a stack of ironing awaiting attention.

Yesterday was a quiet day but had an unexpected delivery, a bouquet, from my sister in Germany.
GD's school posted lots of photographs of the holiday in Normandy, lovely to see.
DD and SIL are coming to take me shopping today, need to stock up for the weekend.
Sister and BIL are off to visit their family so won't see them for a few weekends.

It took six months of excruiating pain, before my vertebraic fractures were diagnosed and only by chance, after a body scan for R.A, Any higher or diagnosed later, and I would have been paralysed.

I was fortunate to be a guinea pig in an innovative trial, (Verteboplasty) sponsored by the Mayo Clinic and now have bone cement holding those fractures together.
I will keep you in my prayers.

I will look forward to reading posts later. I am completely out of kilter just now, woke much later than normal and am now out of synch with my antibiotics timings. I am going to have to eat my last meal later and wait up otherwise I will get gerd during the night

I still need to take ibuprofen, the increase in swelling is happening, as it should when healing and I am hoping that swelling starts to subside by tomorrow night. Ibruprofen has a mechanism that blocks something that causes swelling, otherwise I would not take it

Anyway, I have a shower plug hole to deal with this afternoon, the typical plughole whiff and I have the freezer on quick freeze, I have a small box of fish and meat arriving today. Otherwise just sitting for me

Oops how awful for you. 💐 Nothing worse than having vertigo, but travelling with it doesn't bear thinking about. I once flew home from Rome with a full blown migraine.

Yesterday's journey to pick up prescriptions in torrential rain was really stressful, compounded by dangerous drivers and the fact that some pain relief ones were missing. Feeling awful after my adventure didn't help. .
The receptionist kindly agreed to sort it out and arranged for the prescriptions to be sent to a pharmacy near my son's, which was a relief.

I had planned a very easy day today, before going down to church tonight. We will be busy, but Babydoll is coming for a state visit, so it will be a full on day 💕

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It has rained overnight but the sun is now breaking through. More rain is forecast though. I felt quite ill last night and had a headache and sore throat all yesterday afternoon so I will not be going out with the walking group even though I feel rather better this morning. I’ll recharge my batteries.

Good morning from a dull and dry Suffolk. We expect the area to become much busier after today when the schools finish. Yesterday Southwold,where I had coffee and cake with a friend after our keep fit class was quiet and parking easy. It will be anything but from tomorrow.

Off to my stretch class and then lunch with 3 friends up the coast. Plans for Easter keep changing as the Bristol lot have to fit around DGD2’s visit to the fracture clinic to assess her broken ankle which from her account is healing well. That may just be her wish to get rid of the boot as she seems to have abandoned her crutches. Young bones heal so quickly,don’t they?

Hoping those feeling unwell or worried or having difficult journeys have a positive day.

My cold has got worse so I wrapped myself up like a mummy to sweat it out last night. I shall rest today.

My car passed its MOT and the roofer turned up during a break in the rain, climbed his tall extension ladder and cured the dripping ceiling. I think he cleared the gutter.

I am taking OH for his urology appointment at a local hospital this morning. We both need to go in case of potential parking shenanigans! I will miss my Book group so will drop off my reading report with my friend who organises it all.
On our return we have our monthly prescriptions to collect and a bit of shopping. Younger son is coming this evening for a few days so OH will pick him up from the station.

DD2, SIL and DGS will be arriving mid morning and are staying for a few days.DD1 and family will join us for lunch.After all the medical appointments I am looking forward to family time and distraction from the thoughts in my head - always worst in the middle of the night.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry at the moment.

I really cannot fault our medical practice, I rang yesterday morning and got an appointment for a couple of hours later. The GP agreed that it sounds as though I’ve suffered another vertebral fracture, she rang the on call orthopaedic doctor who said they would see me at A&E. I spent the afternoon there and am now waiting for a call to arrange an MRI. She wants to check that there’s no nerve damage as I’ve had slight urinary leakage since it happened on Saturday.

Good morning from a bright not very warm South Downs. High winds and rain forecast for all day.

Butcher delivery from the farm, and fish delivery from my local fisherman - re stock my lovely empty defrosted freezer. I have dutifully listed everything and sorted it into drawers. It won’t last of course. The fish is pot luck - depending on what he’s caught, but the fishes are always a very good size and of course very fresh. The meat is what I have chosen, organic, free range and grass fed - expensive, but we eat much less meat now so it lasts for ages. I was also expecting a vegetable delivery, but for some reason the bank refused payment (must look into it) so I added vegetables to my Sainsbury’s delivery also due today. So a day of food shopping!

Yesterday I was able to dig over, compost and replant a small bed with scarlet asters and a salvia of a bruised red colour, I also plan to plant a cerise coloured dahlia. That will hit me in the eye during late summer!

Good morning from an overcast W Kent. Art group this morning before an Easter break. The gardener is also coming today. I am trying to work out what upset me in last night’s dinner. Moments after finishing I had a racing heart which settled after about half an hour. I am GF but a bit puzzled, I can only think it was the combination of food and the fact it was a ready meal.
