We’ve been out at the MacMillan Centre - tea, biscuits and nice people all with a story to share or needing a hand hold. It’s a good support group and Himself likes to join in now and again, just not every Friday. We came home after 2pm, hungry so called into our larder and bought breaded cod loin and jerseys. Delicious.

We’re just back from our lovely neighbours. Bit older than us and had drinks - I had gin and Himself a bottle of AF beer. It was good to sit in their apartment - they do say laughter is the best medicine. It surely takes some beating anyway.

Hi all, taxi driver now signed off and having a glass of wine, it’s turned into a beautiful evening for them all at the wedding.
That seems to be all I’ve done today, apart from some washing and unloaded the grocery delivery.
Do you have a friend you can call for a chat ann and how’s that scooter doing?
llfl we’ve got a Chinese being delivered, a treat.

I’m pleased to report it’s eventually stopped raining here and we’ve even had some sunshine. I’m feeling a lot better after a really good catch up with my pal and putting the world to rights. We’re having salmon and roasted veg soon with a glass of something so that’ll set us up nicely for the weekend

annsixty it’s difficult to live with someone who is depressed all the time. I hope you manage to keep yourself occupied in other things.

Good evening dear Kitcheners. I’m feeling much better after a couple of lazy days and some good sleep.

I have been for a walk across the bridge and down the other side of the woodland walk. I still didn’t find any foxgloves but there are plenty of beautiful wild roses.

Hope today is going well Jax and Grandmabatty. Good to see you in here Doodle, always a comfortable place available.

Had to smile at the baby missing the dog Cornergran, she looks like she’s enjoying her holiday with you!

Hello kitchen people. I hope you’re all having a good day. It’s freezing here. We assembled a new picnic table yesterday. The only creatures who have sat on it are the cats!
I watched the final lecture of my Medieval Women course today, and it was excellent. It is really good to listen to someone who is very enthusiastic about their subject and can really bring it alive.
Fish and chips for dinner tonight.

BTW, the old table is over 30 years old and will be going to the tip. Bits keep falling off!

Good morning all from a temporarily dry Stockport.
We haven’t had the torrential rain and flooding that some areas have had, just ceaseless rain for days after a beautiful weekend.
Of course this weekend is a Bank Holiday,what else do we expect!!
So happy to read Urms very good news, hope the Soops are doing well and of course to welcome Doodle back to the comfort of the warm and welcoming kitchen .

I hope everyone has plans to enjoy the weekend and can ignore the weather.
If they involve family so much better.
I don’t want to moan but my plans don’t anymore.
I speak regularly to my D but only see her about twice a year and my S is as useful as a chocolate teapot, although he lives in my
house we exchange about 30 words a week.
He suffers with awful anxiety and depression.
My GD now has a “ boyfriend “ which I am delighted about but it means I see less of her.

“Enough already” I am content in my home and healthy for my age, I know many aren’t.

I have said enough now so will just say I am thinking of you all although I don’t mention you I know your stories and feel I know you all so well.

Our 20 month old DGS has come home from his holiday and can’t understand why their dog isn’t there. He is shouting her name. 😢
She’s here! And isn’t missing him, sad to say!

Trying my best to catch up with you all, I’ve only just come to Urms and her dear husband’s good news. That’s absolutely wonderful.
Right, I’ll go back to my catching up, with a smile on my face.

We’ve had non stop rain all day here, the smaller roads are flooded and there’s lots of very big puddles everywhere
I’ve had a busy day here, I took DGD for her eye test as she’d been saying she couldn’t see things at a distance and see the board at school. She had a thorough eye exam and the optician said she had perfect vision and no glasses needed -so I’ve no idea what’s going on there! Time will tell I expect. Then after school activities, dinner, bath and now she’s just gone through to bed - I’m tired but don’t think she is!
Hope the weddings both go well Jax and grandmabatty, you’ll both be busy with the DGC. Lovely that they’re getting dressed up and going along later Jax and good luck grandmabattty - hope your two are much better behaved than mine when together for a sleepover 🤦‍♀️

Hi Doodle there's a quiet corner with your name on it. Have a virtual hug. Jaxjacky my dd and Dsil are at a friends wedding tomorrow too. I will be having both boys for a sleepover which has it's challenges.
Today was another lazy day. I annoy myself sometimes when I don't do anything. However Friday and Saturday will be busy wrestling the boys.😂 I hope you all have a peaceful evening

Hi all, a sun/cloud day with a cool breeze, dental hygienist this afternoon, I really don’t like going, but it’s done now, phew!
My children are at their best friends wedding tomorrow, all four of them have known each other for many years. My son is best man, daughter is matron of honour, our job is collecting the children from school at different times, until I deliver them both, togged up, to the venue for 7pm. It’ll either be a takeaway or the chippy for our dinner I think.
Those with visitors I’m sure are having a wonderful time, as are those visiting - Sue.
Grannmarie I’m pleased you’ve booked a break, your wellness and strength needs succour to help others.
Yia I hope your discomfort is easing before your holiday.

That sounds like a sensible compromise for your tooth llfl I hope it works out ok for you. Also a very Happy Birthday to your son and daughter, did they mind sharing the same birthday when they were children ?

My daughter was annoyed for years that I didn’t see her on her second birthday! She even wrote about it at school. When they were older they sometimes had joint parties, other times two separate parties.

Blimey it’s been cold today. Rain and wind too. Our friends had an issue or two getting here but they persevered and we’ve had an enjoyable, chatty day catching up. Tired now though.

Hope your head un-wobbles, baubles. It would be good if the nausea went too.

Hope mr and mrs soop are feeling a bit better.

You’ve a sensible dentist there ladylfl, seems a good approach.

My turn tomorrow for an easy day grandmab. No harm now and again for sure.
