Good evening dear Kitcheners. It’s been raining quite heavily all day do I didn’t go on a hunt for foxgloves. I folded and put away the rest of the clean bedding but I’ve done little else as my brain is having a wobble and I feel rather nauseous. I’ve been snuggled up listening to my audiobook. It’s finished now so I’m looking for a new one. An early night is needed. The weather forecast is no better for tomorrow and Friday so a few days of taking it easy should sort out the wobbly head. I have some exercises I can do lying down
Hope you have a lovely time in Corfu YiaYia, airport assistant is a must.
Lovely flowers Jax, Sweet Williams are one of my favourites, lots of happy memories associated with them.
You must have needed a restful day, Grandmabatty and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it.
Hope the dentist can do something with the tooth LadyLFL, it sounds problematic.
Your garden seems to be thriving on your care Brook and it’s good that you can both enjoy it
You sound so happy Urms, those shared moments are what it’s all about
.
Love and best wishes to you all.❤️

Urms so good to have you back with us in the kitchen, we’ve missed you x
That sounds like a sensible compromise for your tooth llfl I hope it works out ok for you. Also a very Happy Birthday to your son and daughter, did they mind sharing the same birthday when they were children ?
So glad to hear your good news “Urmstongran”, it’s a hard road you are treading, so hope your DH continues to do well.x
Good evening kitchen pals, it’s been a cold wet day here in Inverness and the garden has had lots of rain. Thank you all for your kind comments about the garden, it’s been trial and error over the years to see what grows well up here and what doesn’t survive the winters! Luckily both DH and I enjoy gardening so it’s a shared pastime although he’s always busy doing the garden at work and I mostly look after things here
You really deserve that holiday grannmarie enjoy every minute and try not to worry too much whilst you’re away
I’m another fan of Clarksons farm Jax so funny!
Hello kitchen people. Get well the Soops!
I saw my dentist about my broken crown. He took loads of x-rays and said he can’t put it back and what’s left of the tooth isn’t strong enough to support a new crown. Any other possibility would cost thousands. So, he gave me two choices - have the whole thing extracted which would be a difficult job, but he could do it. Second, smooth the surface and apply some filling, which is what I opted for in a few weeks.
OH and I had lunch out (again !) and it was delicious. On our return home we put the news on to find there is to be an election. Yippee.
It is my daughter and elder son’s birthday today, two years apart. My daughter is 43 and son is 41.
We are so full of food so I think a small bowl of cereal is on the menu for dinner.
I expect the Urms family are still on their wonderful cloud ☁️!
Good evening Kitcheners. Grannmarie enjoy your holiday in the sun. It's been gey dreich today. Yiayia thank you, I have been practically comatose for most of today. I must have needed it. Blossoming I'm a big fan of marzipan on cake. I can smell that lovely rose from here. Nannytopsy what striking colours. My last dog was terrified of thunder and loud bangs. He practically ate his way through the kitchen door to get out. Poor boy.
Today I have done very little and enjoyed every minute of it. The weather has been pretty awful anyway, so I don't feel bad about it. Soop and Mr Soop I hope you are on the mend. I'm away to catch ywith Chelsea Garden Festival while lying on the couch. How decadent! Enjoy your evening all.
Hi all, just light drizzle here off and on until a downpour ten minutes ago, no watering required.
Beautiful flower pictures, I like the dark Iris Nannytopsy.
Hoping SueD and her Mr have recovered from their flight upsets and are enjoying family time.
Out and about this morning, library, local shop and bought myself some Sweet Williams. Then kitchen cleaning followed by a chuckle with Clarksons Farm.
Get well soon Soop and Mr Soop, we miss you.💐🥃
Glad you arrived SueD now enjoy the time with your family.
I’m glad your having a holiday Grannmarie it will do you both good.Like you we have booked assistance at the airport.
I really don’t relish it,but Gatwick is usually a long walk to the depture gate,so needs must.
You have a beautiful garden Brooke wonderful colours.
Hope you had a restful day Grandmabatty.
We saw our friends today. The good news is that he is being given treatment to make him feel better hopefully it will help.
Still raining here enjoy your evening everyone.
Crossed posts *Nannytopsy#, I love your iris, we only have yellow ones so far this year.
Good evening dear Kitcheners. It’s been a sunny day again. I was quite tired after a fairly active day yesterday, so just a bit of housework without bending or lifting too much. I had a lovely walk along the riverside path, listening to birdsong and enjoying the scent of summer. I didn’t find any foxgloves, I think they’re actually by the path on the other side of the bridge so I’ll investigate tomorrow, legs permitting. I collapsed onto my bed for a few hours after I got home from my walk today.
There are some beautiful scented roses next to the riverbank, not sure if they’re native or escapees.
Beautiful garden Brook, it looks so inviting.
Glad you’ve finally arrived SueD hope you can rest now.
You earned that cake, Grandmabatty!
Thank you for the update Baggs, hope they are soon on the mend.
Beautiful peony Jax.
Enjoy your much needed break Grannmarie.
I’m away to my bed now. Love and best wishes to you all.
Good news Urms and I am glad SueD arrived safely. It’s good that MrS has been operated on and I do hope Soop will s much better soon.
Love the garden Brook. My irises are all flowering beautifully this year. Is it their age, now they are settled in or a very wet winter? Who knows?
We had quite a thunderstorm this afternoon which terrified the granddog who spent an hour or so shaking and panting under the coffee table. She still won’t go outside or move off the chair she chose. They usually give her tranquillisers if they know thunder is coming but forgot to bring them.
Thank you, Baggs, for the news of the Soops, I'm thinking of them, wishing them both well. Thinking of you too, take care.
Beautiful garden, brook, I can see why it's your happy place!
Glad you have arrived safely, SueD, enjoy your time with your DS.
That peony is just perfection, Jaxjacky. Good luck to Imogen for tomorrow's exam.
Grandmabatty, I smiled at your wee boy 'planking' the toys! I haven't heard that word for a while.
Thanks to all for your kind words, things seem to be OK at the moment although the worrying situations are ongoing. DH and I are now booked for our spring week in the sun, somewhat later than usual this year. It's been hard to make plans recently. It'll do us both good. Airport assistance is arranged, plus a mobility scooter being delivered to our hotel on arrival.
Thinking of you all, especially those with illness, worries or sorrow. NNGB.
Thank you Bags for the news of the soops. Wishing them a speedy return to good health and good news re MrSoops/ biopsies.
Not forgetting you Bags - keep strong and look after yourself.
That is just the most wonderful news Urms. I'm so happy for you both I can't stop smiling. Sleep well !
Your garden is wonderful brook. Serious garden envy here. Ours is tiny.
Get well soon soop, hope for a positive outcome for mr soop.
Love your garden Brook
Thank you all, the garden does take up lots of time but it really is my happy place all year round 😀
SueD so pleased you’ve arrived safely at your DSs, the journey must have been awful but well worth it. I hope you can relax now you’re there and enjoy time with your son and family. I hope he’s doing well
Thank you Baggs for the update from soop I hope things are a bit better soon, sending much love to the soops and to you too baggs
Jax what a gorgeous peony it’s such a beautiful colour, I don’t have any in my garden but might be tempted now! Good luck to Imogen for tomorrow
One of my favourite cakes grandmabatty hope you’re having a very well deserved restful evening
Take care all x
Thank you Baggs for the news from the soops. I do hope that they both feel better soon.
We're thinking of them & wishing them well.
Beautiful garden brook, & that's a lovely peony Jaxjacky.
Wet here, & forecast more rain in the next 2 days, hopefully an improvement for the bank holiday weekend.
We hope to be off to the coast on Friday, looking forward to seeing the rhododendrons as we pass near Sandringham.
Warm wishes to you all. x
Lovely news, Urms ❤️
Thank you Baggs I hope they both recover well.
Your garden always amazes me brook it’s stunning, I can just offer this peony I’m extraordinarily happy with, first flowering, its second year of planting.
Imogen was driven to Physics revision at lunchtime, not a subject I was fond of, her exam is tomorrow.
It’s been a cooler, grey day, with light rain, no good for anything apart from being annoying.
Battenberg deserved Grandmabatty.
brook that garden is absolutely beautiful but it must take up most of your time unless it is a labour of love.
soop I hope the pair of you feel better soon and Mr. soop gets a good result from the biopsy.
Good evening, Kitcheners All. There is a little news from the soops: "Little improvement. Either sleeping or coughing. MrSoop just rtnd from scalp surg with painkillers & penicillin. Biopsies taken."
soop sent love to you all. I send some too.
