We had a pleasant afternoon in a very pretty village named Skipness. It has a castle, a smokehouse selling wonderful culinary treats and a marvellous outdoor restaurant with glorious views of the island of Arran. I shall share a few photos with you. Also a photo of our gigantic gunnera (? spelling) growing in the so-called "wet garden".

Jax... I'm not sure what your procedure involved but it made me wince a bit...I hope having the thought of your break away soon got you throughout it ok.
Soop... I'm so pleased it wasn't a UTI... You really didn't need one of those as well as your 'travel lurgy'. You and Mr Soop are both such troopers for coping with the multiple hospital visits..and still remaining smiley.
Congratulations ( belatedly) on your anniversary LLFL...it made me smile the thought of you both in the same room watching different programs...love and companionship endure!!!

On that note..Thank you for your kind messages re the latest 'drama'. It appears I am the legal owner of the house...I don't know what the implications of that are...and I'm doing a Scarlet O Hara just now and 'Thinking about it tomorrow'. I'm throwing myself into anything that distracts me....( Not housework I hasten to add in case you thought I'd completely lost the plot 🤣). The garden is coming along...the first raised beds are finished and filling them is very therapeutic...and so are trips to the garden centre. I've got my appointment with the orthopaedic consultant on the 14th...DOH is coming too. Hope fully a decision will be made as to the hip revision and a timescale too. This time next month I will as DOH
said last night...be his wife. I giggled at that ...in essence I think I've been that ever since we began living together but I suppose should I want to...I will be able to refer to myself as a wife. The annulments are now well under way and the previous partners will be getting notifications about them soon. The expression ' s..t and fan' spring to mind at the thought of mine arriving at the same time as the debacle over the house. I don't feel as bad as I probably should as I feel a lot of the hostility from the D's stems from him too.
Any ideas as to what to wear for the 27th would be gratefully received... apparently jeans are not an option!!!!!

Ooh Neine you sound much brighter today. I’m so glad the annulments are through and you’re looking forward to your wedding to DOH. Personally I would sell the house and splash out on you and your husband, and perhaps a charity donation for something close to your heart. Your Ds have only themselves to blame for karma biting them on the bum. The sun is shining, I have a few chores to do, I got my prescription and once those jobs are done I’m off for a walk 🌻

Karma sometimes takes its time but it comes in the end.

I'm sorry for all you southerners. Here in central Scotland it has been a lovely sunny day. I hung out loads of washing, it's dried, ironed and put away.☺️ Dd called in this morning with dgs2 on his way to play group. When it came time to go, he had a huge tantrum because he wanted to stay. Oh dear. We walked him round and he was absolutely fine and happy. I have tidied up, done loads of washings-see above - and weeded. I've tied up the peas outside and my tubs of sweet peas too. I think that's me finished for today. Chicken curry for dinner tonight. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

I’m joyous to share that Himself had a sleep this afternoon and half an hour ago got the bus from over the road to watch our Boy Wonder at his ⚽️ training session. It’s a lovely evening here - in so many ways.

Yes Grandmabatty it’s been a cool, dull day and windy, washing dried though.
Oh crumbs neine I can only advise something comfortable, if your preference is jeans, maybe a jumpsuit?
Shopping delivered earlier, everything available, quite why we need it when we’re away next week is beyond me!

We’ve been to the pub, which was busy, these young things sat out in their t shirts and skimpy tops!

I do like how you and your husband take strict turns in being responsible for dinner each night. I love how because of these ‘turns’ you’ve spent the afternoon reading, your husband has been out and about and now has to come in and get the chip pan (or nowadays ‘air frier’?) on the go, whilst you turn another page.

Same here grandmabatty a sunny day here with lots of washing dried and then I pottered in the garden for a bit. One of my clematis plants has got clematis wilt 🙁 so that’ll be that this year, I think the same happened last year too
This afternoon I enjoyed catching up with my pal and sitting chatting over coffee, simple pleasures
I think Jax’s suggestion of a jumpsuit is a good idea neine, dress it up or down to suit

Complete change of plan for the weekend... Lunch in Wells is off...a trip to A and E very likely. I have had a mishap...I was unloading the car... Both hands full with bags... My foot got caught in the handle of a dumpy bag that had contained sand for the garden landscaping. I went flying and face planted as they say the large oak gate. I managed not to get blood all over the newly laid York stone paving slabs by chipping it in my hand as I made my way very slowly indoors....it had to be slowly as my right leg wouldn't weight bear so I had to creep holding onto the stone wall as I went. DOH came home to find me sitting on a chair shivering in the heat. He wanted to go straight to A and E but I couldn't face that on a Friday night. The bleeding has almost stopped now and the 2 black eyes are on their way. My knee is problematic it's at a very funny angle😱.. I'm hoping a miracle will occur overnight. As Soop would say...a buggeration to be sure.

Oh no neine. Buggeration is too mild a word for that. Definitely get thee to A&E as soon as you can manage it. Knees aren’t to be trifled with. Maybe try some ice on the knee in the meantime although it sounds as if an x-ray is needed. Best ask your DOH to move that dumpy bag, just in case. I’m so sorry. That must be really painful. Hope you’re able to sleep. X

Poor you, Neine, but it doesn’t sound as if that knee will right itself so a trip to A&E for an X-ray sounds essential. Hope you are feeling a bit better - it’s amazing how “saving time” by carrying just a bit too much causes disaster.

I've just been admitted to the orthopedic ward...I've fractured my knee cap. I can't weight bear at the moment and they couldn't get the splint on...so surgery is probably on the cards. Fed up doesn't even come close...

Well NN, at least you’re in the hospital and hopefully having treatment. What a pain though.
