Yes, I also sometimes notice unusual shapes. This phenomenon is called the psychological effect of paredolia, where our brain tends to find familiar images in abstract or random forms. Am I signing up for this phenomenon? In a sense, yes. I think this is an interesting illustration of how our brain interprets the world around us and searches for meaning and order even in random or unstructured data.

Yes, I can see it but I see faces everywhere. Husband says I have Paradoilia (not sure of the spelling). Yesterday he showed me a photo and I saw a face in the background and no one could see it!

Yes. I have seen this since my earliest memory as a child in all kinds of weird inanimate things, even knots of wood once in a shed, scaring me so much, it was painted over.

Funny isn’t it how it can be just so clear to some of us yet not others! This face jumped out to me immediately when I looked across!

I can see the face and the native Americans in the rocks. I also see a little devil with wings in the rocks.

All this reminds me of the face of Jesus on a potato and the shroud of Clatterford in Jam and Jerusalem.

To be fair I don't see a face either- but I do in tiles and other patterns.

We are hard wired to recognise the human face when given random patterns. It is down to evolution as social beings, but also to warn us of danger.

Makes me think of the film Castway- if you don't have a real face to see we will invent them. It's all perfectly normal.
