Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and its raining here in brackley at the moment .
Today my usual morning excursion on the bus to Bicester , coffee , followed by some shopping and see people I know.
This afternoon will be at home watching TV , what was surprising yesterday was seeing a coach from the people I go on day trips with On TV news , as they were taking people to Fenny Compton about 15-20 miles from here for the postmasters debate.
Take Care,
Mick

Sad to read WWM’s post and understand how she must feel. Lots of weather in this morning’s posts - here it is windy with showers forecast so not an outdoors day yet again. Supermarket shop this morning, bed changing and laundry fill the horizon so had better get started. Hope today goes well for everyone.

Good morning from a grey, rainy NE.
Yesterday was spent doing housework and making pasta sauce to save me time today.
I have my financial adviser coming at 11am, I am hoping I have all the paperwork I need.
DS and family are coming to take me shopping and will then collect my sister and bring her here for coffee.
My younger sister sent a message to say that she was extending her holiday by another week as she was enjoying it so much.
Take care in the adverse weather conditions.
Sorry to hear about Duncan

Taichinan Tue 09-Apr-24 08:20:40

Good morning all and it's chucking it down on the Angus coast too, accompanied by a "brisk breeze" (it's windy!). So apart from tai chi and a bit of shopping there will be nothing done here
Yesterday was a beautiful day when I got caught up with all the washing - and got it all dried too. A friend popped in in the afternoon, bringing her two visiting grandchildren ( a very tall boy of 15 and a very pretty girl of 18). I really enjoyed their company.
I think most of us have missing mojos just now grandmattie because of this neverending winter - and you have even more reason than the rest of us. Just listen to your body and take it easy.
Whitewave flowers. You'll miss that little soul.
Take care everyone, and stay cosy and dry ☔

Gingster Tue 09-Apr-24 08:19:34

So sorry to hear you’ve lost your little companion Whitewave .

Gingster Tue 09-Apr-24 08:17:39

Good morning from a very wild Suffolk coast.
Yesterday was a very warm, sunny day with calm seas and blue skies. We had lunch in the garden. What a change.!

Dh started to mow the lawn with our ‘sit upon’ and then it conked out! We had to push it back into the garage. Phew !
The repair man can’t see it until the 19th ! 😤.
DS1 says he will get the petrol mower out at the weekend . It’s a big job!

I’ve never seen so many snails as we have up here. Clusters of babies all around the windows, garden seats and tables.

I’ll be taking bulbs out of pots today and clearing ‘Alexandria’ ?
‘from the steps . It’s infiltrating the garden from the banks and fields surrounding us. Tall strong weeds!

Take care in the winds.🌷

Good morning from a bright Suffolk with occasional flashes of sunshine.

So sorry Whitewave to hear of your loss of lovely Duncan.

We had unexpected and heavy rain yesterday evening so the footpaths which were dry will no doubt be muddy again, not that our little dog seems to mind .

A pile of ironing has my name on it and admin to do. The plans for the rest of the week are more exciting looking, thank goodness.

Hope those with worries find comfort today.

gM hope your mojo finds its way back soon you have been through a lot lately.

Best wishes to all

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 09-Apr-24 08:08:29

Morning all from a windy, wet and strangely warm West Oxfordshire.
We are visiting a local pottery today which has a very good cafe - quiche and cake!
I didn’t get much done yesterday as I felt under the weather. OH went off and had several test drives of 4x4s.
Have a good day especially those of you with difficulties.

Gala Tue 09-Apr-24 08:02:22

Very wet & windy here in Sefton this morning. Did Kathleen get her dates wrong? We have coastal warnings in place - exceptionally high spring tides & very rough seas. Beach car parks have been closed. Have overslept this morning which makes a welcome change. Apart from U3A this morning I have an empty day which I will spend indoors with my cross stitch & a book.
Take care all.

Grandmabatty Tue 09-Apr-24 07:51:17

whitewave I'm sorry to hear that. Dogs are part of the family, aren't they?

Grandmabatty Tue 09-Apr-24 07:50:02

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and pouring rain. Again. This is the second post I've written as the first one vanished into the ether. Stilllearning safe journey and have a good time with your sister. Sar I saw the effects of the high tide in Mevagissey on twitter. GrandMattie give yourself time to recover.
Yesterday I had a productive day footering about. I got most things done that I wanted to.
Today I will check on dd's house then pick up my prescription (hopefully). I've run out of stuff I need. Apart from that, I have no plans. It looks like the rain is on for a while, so gardening is out. A bit of sewing, knitting and painting perhaps. I'm making a slow cooker pot of chilli which will do for dinner tonight and tomorrow and I'll freeze some too. Have a good day all.

Oh Whitewavemark2 I am so sorry to hear your news flowers

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Apr-24 07:43:32

Good morning from the South Downs.

Yesterday I lost my beloved terrier - Duncan

cornergran Tue 09-Apr-24 07:36:45

Morning Mick, morning All from a very windy corner of Somerset.

It’s a medical week here. Good outcome for Mr C yesterday, my turn this afternoon. Hair cut this morning, necessary if not my favourite thing. Coastal flood warnings are in place, very high tides and strong winds in combination.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Jaxjacky Tue 09-Apr-24 07:36:01

Morning from a windy S Hants, cooler, but dry. The cough lingers, aggravating the hernia I was ignoring, chasing the referral now on my list.
You’ve had a battering gMattie your mojo is rebuilding.
Safe journeys for those travelling.

BlueSapphire Tue 09-Apr-24 07:31:17

Good morning everyone from a wet Northampton, it would rain when I've got a hair appointment, wouldn't it?
That will take up most of the morning, then home for a quick lunch, and then if the rain has stopped, I shall try to join my walking group.

I got most of what I wanted in town yesterday, including two nice tops from Next, which hadn't been an intended buy at all, but will make a nice addition to my holiday wardrobe.

Home-made Bolognese from the freezer for dinner tonight.

May we all have a pleasant day.

brook2704 Tue 09-Apr-24 07:31:15

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s a grey damp start the day but a lot less windy
Safe travels stilllearning and enjoy seeing your sister in Aberdeen and hope it stays dry
I’ve got a volunteering session this morning, but nothing much else planned for the day.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings💐

baubles Tue 09-Apr-24 07:26:18

Good morning from South Lanarkshire.

No rain over here yet Stilllearning, hope you have a smooth journey up to Aberdeen and enjoy the time with your sister.

My sister arrived safely yesterday so we caught up on all the family goings on. Haven’t yet decided what we’ll do today, will see what the weather looks like.

Take it easy gMattie, I’m sure your mojo will find its way back to you.

Have the best day possible everyone, thinking of our friends coping with illness and sadness within their families.

kittylester Tue 09-Apr-24 07:13:59

Good morning from a very damp North Leicestershire.

I have a singing lesson at 9 am - bit too early, I think! This afternoon we have DGS3 and DGD1 here and will probably go to the local Indian restaurant. They are always really entertaining and have busy lives so we are very lucky that they also enjoy spending time here.

Have the best day possible everyone.

RosesandLilac Tue 09-Apr-24 07:06:49

Good morning everyone from soggy south Glos, the rain’s been beating on the windows here.
Yesterday I finished crocheting my throw so I must focus on the Aran cardigan for my great niece now - I need to concentrate if I’m not to spend more time unpicking than making progress 🙄
DH is out for an eye appointment all morning and the dog has her dog walker so the day is mine!
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Pittcity Tue 09-Apr-24 07:05:08

Good morning from a wet and windy Colchester.
Back to charity shop volunteering after a week off. DH is looking after 2 DGSs for a few hours.
We'll both be exhausted this evening.
Love to all 🦩 x

monk08 Tue 09-Apr-24 07:02:37

Good morning all from a very wet Black country.
I have a 9am appt at the bank this morning, then meeting 2 friends ex work colleagues for coffee and cake will be good to meet up we speak on phone regularly but haven't been face to face for a year.
DH as booked us for a carvery later so no cooking in all should be a fairly relaxing day.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 09-Apr-24 06:59:54

Morning all from a grey wet S E Essex, I have The Imp today as DD is at work, his brother is at his Dad’s and rang last night to say he has now got the family lurgy he wants to come home, but I think Daddy will want to keep him and pamper him 💙

My darling DiL is really poorly, she has been prescribed strong penicillin, so I may have GD & GS dropped here first thing (6&4), best double up on the vitamins 🤣

Have a good day everyone 🙋‍♀️

PS hope our Marydoll had a great day yesterday

Susan56 Tue 09-Apr-24 06:59:03

Sar53 Tue 09-Apr-24 06:53:19

Good morning from a very windy and grey looking Essex coast. Yesterday the tides were very high and there were warnings along all the local beaches.
Today DH and I have to go to the bank to collect some change, he will then go off and I will do some shopping.
DD1 collected their puppy yesterday. I had some wonderful pictures of the girls with him. I'm going to visit in a couple of weeks so I can have a cuddle too.
Have a great day everyone and be careful in the wind xx
