Good afternoon,

A milder day today, and fine. It was supposed to be a bit sunnier too, but the sun is struggling.

Been out for a fish and chip lunch which was very tasty, and now debating whether to pop out into the garden and do a bit of tidying.

So pleased to read that you’ve been given the all clear to drive Ash. That must be such a relief for you.

I always notice your posts☺️, as you are always so organised and seemingly together - a bit like my daughter, whereas as me? - enough said.

Except right now WW2. I am still reeling from what the antibiotics have done to me. House is messy, no exercise but there will be an end. Green juices are being made every day (yuk) and quickly downed. Sleep is poor too.

I know that this is temporary, maybe 2 months, maybe longer. It is the gut/brain thing.

Good morning from a wet Dunblane. Home from a couple of nights away in Elgin. We had a good break but apart from yesterday which was lovely although windy the weather was not the best. This seems to be normal everywhere at the moment but we still managed to have a few blowy beach walks to blow away the cobwebs.
It was lovely to have all our meals cooked for us having only to choose from a menu. It was very quiet except at the special tourist orientated places like Bruar on the way up and Brodies between Nairn and Elgin. My daughter in law has a big birthday coming and I was nearly tempted to buy her a pair of handwash only cashmere socks in Johnston’s of Elgin but at £95 commonsense prevailed!! Will go back and read your posts later have the best day you can.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a bright, mild South Yorkshire. I had a very sleepless night; finally dropped off at five, so I’m late this morning. Nothing spoiling though. The gardener did a very good job on the back garden yesterday. while GS cleaned my car and cut the front lawn for me before I took him home. Today I will clean the house, put petrol in the car and have a walk somewhere while this weather holds.

Beautiful morning and no rain forecast! Can that be true? Oldies’ coffee morning and then a chance to get into the garden which is at its spring best though in need of some light tidying. Ten years ago we bought a lovely garden and a sad house, so I regard maintaining the garden as the least I can do, having spent a small fortune on rescuing the house. Hope everyone has a good day.

Our garden lady came yesterday and lifted the straggly lavender, fuschia will be replacing them, we discussed other planting and next week bark will be replaced.
Tesco delivering later after our bedding is washed and out, I’ll make a chicken and sw potato curry for tonight after our pub visit. We’ll be catching up with friends who’ve just spent two months in Australia and NZ.

Today I need to replace my glasses I had a fall yesterday and broke them, not sure what happened my knee seemed to give way and I landed face down left me shaken with a scrazed nose and chin and my knees swollen.
Thinking of those with far worse worries.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey damp Carlisle. Oh for some sunny warm spring weather!
I was tired all day yesterday but made myself do the ironing so a small sense of achievement there! Otherwise, a lot of reading was done especially of one of Bill Bryson's tomes...he made me laugh with his wicked description of cricket, on a par with what I've always thought.
Today, I think I'll pop out to the local DIY emporium for various bits and bobs I need. Those do not include plants but I'm sure I shall not be able to resist 'just a look'!

Good Morning from Durham. Dry here, but very windy overnight. Like GG13, I’ve been awake most of the night - sleep just wouldn’t come, until I nodded off at 6.30 and now I’m rushing around!
Meeting a friend for an early coffee (of all days) then home to get Little Dog and DD2’s clean laundry as I’m going to babysit DGS2 this afternoon.
Little Dog started to carry his paw on our walk, so I brought him straight home. Quick examination and I gave him a dose of Loxicom - seems ok now - he must’ve knocked it.
Fingers crossed for a dry weekend.

Good morning everyone from a promisingly bright day in Northampton. I think I will go and find a load of washing.

The fencers were here bright and early yesterday, and after keeping them supplied with tea, my new fencing was up and finished by lunchtime.
As it was such a fine dry day, I went out into the garden and cut back an enormous buddleia, and also tidied up a few other overgrown plants. Managed to almost fill one garden waste bin.
Then I sat and watched the cats as they enjoyed their first garden outing of the year - they are indoor cats, but spend a lot of time in the garden in fine weather, as long as I am out there with them. However they clamoured to go in again after half an hour!

Dance classes this morning, then after lunch I am going to visit my oldest friend whose birthday is next week, to deliver her card and presents. We met as young teachers in the same school in our twenties, and have remained close ever since. She is now 82, and I am not far behind! Sadly she doesn't get out and about so much these days as her knees are not good. She and her late DH were godparents to our children.

Curry for dinner tonight, must get it out of the freezer.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers 12°C northwest coast. Practised songs yesterday and nice FaceTime with flying DD in Dohar, Quatar yesterday. Felt I was sitting by the pool in the sun myself.

Such a mess around a requested ultrasound from the doc, it hasn’t gone through, so back to telephoning surgery etc etc….
Off soon to art group, rather sad as one member died recently and this is our first meet up since.

Dull but dry here in Sefton. The wind has dropped & it feels very mild.
I had a very busy day yesterday catching up with house work. It tired me out but I have had a long uninterrupted sleep.
Just 2 zoom exercise classes this morning, nothing else planned for the day. If it stays mild & dry I will venture into the garden or maybe down to the beach.

Good morning from an already warm and bright Suffolk. I haven’t yet read your posts after a rather late start to the day but will enjoy doing so with my second cup of tea.

Coffee and cake with Gingster yesterday morning was really lovely. We chatted non stop in the sunshine at an outside table in the cafe at Dunwich which is about half way between our homes.

Today DH has suggested taking our little dog on an adventure. I’m not sure where he intends us to go but it will probably involve either the local common or a beach. Restrictions for dogs on beaches are already in place for some beaches but there are some around without any restrictions so lots of choice.

Hope today is a good one for all.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I can hear the birds cheeping outside my window.
OH bought a car yesterday! He will pick it up next week. In the meantime I must move some money around.
Lots of little tasks today. My car needs filling up with petrol and the tyres blowing up. Bathrooms to clean and OH will hoover. I have WI admin to do. I will miss next week’s meeting so will take everything to my neighbour to take for me. I am off to London tomorrow at the crack of dawn. I will meet my daughter at Paddington where my son’s partner will meet us with my granddaughter. Daughter and I will take her to the Young V&A for the day. We may have a picnic! Later, son’s partner will meet us at Paddington and take granddaughter back to Kew. Daughter will then come back home for the weekend.
