I thought going to the races was all about drinking and gambling. Are they complaining that common people are doing that - how shocking.

Together with a very short, tight, white strapless sheath dress, they look very classy!

Isn’t it a case of this type of this behaviour generally happening in streets around the country on occasion not just at the National.
You don’t have to be “common” to be out of control after a few drinks.

Hate horse or dog racing I m happy to let them get on with it

To much to drink, and ignorance. Most people go out to enjoy a day not brawl and make it unpleasant for others.

Although I love dressing up, this time of year is too chilly for me to go to the races and I’m not too far away.
Also, I’m not keen on beautiful horses dying in the process.

Perhaps my common people comment was me making assumptions, the people I know who own racehorses and/or go to race meetings do not brawl in public.

I assume those that do are either ignorant or absolutely plastered
