Morning all from Kew.
I’ll take my granddaughter to school later, buy some flowers for her mum whose birthday it is tomorrow and then drive home to Oxfordshire.
The decorators are back today. OH will keep an eye on them.
Waitrose shop this afternoon.
Friends this evening.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone from Severnside. I can really see what the weather is like as I had the windows cleaned yesterday. Bright sunshine and some dark cloud.

I cut out a dress yesterday. It’s some fabric I’ve had for a while and bought just because I liked it. Today I’ll go swimming and write some letters.

Good wishes to you all 🌷

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton, showers forecast later, but I need to wash the bedding so will keep my fingers crossed.

The cats went off to the cattery for their holiday yesterday, worried all day about getting them into their carriers, but they were no problem. No hide and seek this time!

Packing today as I go on my cruise tomorrow! Its getting very real now!

An easy dinner tonight, M&S Sweet and Sour Chicken, cannot bother with proper cooking tonight, and there will be time to do a quick dishwasher load in the morning after breakfast.

May we all have a.good day.

Good morning all from North Leicestershire. It is quite bright with high cloud.

Yesterday was a fabulous weather day - hail, rain, sun, wind, thunder and lightning. Luckily I was able to stay home and enjoy it all through the windows.

Today, I have choir this morning while DH will take DS1 for his botox appointment. This afternoon, our lovely gardener will come for the first time this year. She will find plenty to do.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from the now usual down South, of some wind, some rain.

I have 3 "events" happening today. Not related to each other.
I hope the first two go well.
The 3rd is likely to be a problematic meeting. It just going good enough, would be about the best to be hoped for. In the circumstances.

Alygran Tue 16-Apr-24 07:08:04

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Clear and calmer today.
The roofer is coming back at 7.45 to do a bit of pointing so I’m up early (for me).
Off to Harlow Carr to meet a friend and have a walk. I’m hoping more of the garden has been finished. Home then to do my grass.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire, I’ve no idea yet what the weather is doing.

It was good to be back in the charity shop yesterday although all I did was serve people at the till and record the many donation bags that were brought in.

I’ve some on line shopping to do for upcoming birthdays and some cards to buy locally, I like to support the little independent shops in the town when can.

Unusually for us we’re going into town for dinner this evening. A few weeks ago we had an afternoon tea in this restaurant which could have been an episode from Fawlty Towers, it was so chaotic. I emailed the manager afterwards and received a gracious apology and an offer of a complimentary meal which I accepted hence this evening’s outing.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from blustery s somerset, rain soon

My sleeps have changed for the better, I have sorted out whatever it was and am now sleeping through. I cannot wait for better weather, to entice me out on my bike straight after breakfast. Energy is normalising at last, when I don`t need to force myself to do things

I really have no idea for today, I am always happy pottering in a positive way, so that is what I will do. I did a little bit of `getting rid` yesterday and will keep bearing that in mind on my way through the day.

Have a good day

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A contrast to yesterday's wind and rain. The temperature has plummeted though and the heating is back on.
DH has gone fishing and I've a day volunteering in the charity shop.
Love to all 🦩 x

RosesandLilac Tue 16-Apr-24 07:00:00

Good morning everyone, it’s dry here in south Glos after a very windy, wet with hailstorms day yesterday.
Today I need to get the house straight after dd leaves, I have a telephone consultation this afternoon with my consultant and I must finish getting my needlework bits sorted.
Take care everyone 🌹

Bonnybanko Tue 16-Apr-24 06:58:49

Good morning all from what appears to be a lovely start to the day here on the east coast of Fife.
I had a short period of sitting in my warm conservatory yesterday it’s so lovely looking out into the garden.

My old school friend is visiting today she’s going to go to the bank for me as I’m needing cash to pay my cleaner and I’m needing a letter posted by recorded delivery to make sure it reaches my dd. The post here at the moment is a little erratic I don’t really know why.

Have a good day my friends spring is coming at last

GrannyGravy13 Tue 16-Apr-24 06:56:41

Morning all, the sky is blue and the sun is out here in S E Essex, unfortunately it is not meant to last…

The horrendous wind and heavy rain woke me in the night, yet another broken nights sleep. I am going to Pilates at the gym this morning, not a regular class for me, but I have no motivation to clean a house which is half covered in dust sheets and builders stuff

The builders found a problem yesterday, and I nearly severed my tongue with the effort of not saying not only could I have told you months ago, I told your boss, the loss adjusters and our insurance company several years ago 😡😡😡. Now they have already laid down their tools until the head honcho comes here first thing tomorrow morning.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

cornergran Tue 16-Apr-24 06:41:40

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is dry and thankfully less windy. Goodness was yesterday interesting. Rain, hailstones, sun, freezing wind. Good old April.

Eye hospital for me today so a re-run of the bus journeys when Mr C was a cardiology in patient. Up to 2 hours each way. I don’t mind, no stress and plenty to see out of the windows. I’ll be pleased to understand more about the bleed the optician found, not exactly worried but not relaxed about it either. Very quick appointment so no complaint there.

Love the sound of your break mizuna, sometimes one night is as good for us as two weeks. Here’s to normality ash. Pleased your birthday was a good one grandmattie. You get this weeks bravery award bellasnana. Safe trip oops. Hope the weather is kind

Enjoy what you can of the day everyone.

Grandmabatty Tue 16-Apr-24 06:34:56

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and looks grey. Oops safe journey to Cornwall. GrandMattie how nice to hear from your sister. Mizuna you have had a lovely time. It's having meals cooked for me that makes a holiday 😂.
Yesterday the boys were very good. Dgs joined a football club and enjoyed it. His dad said he did well. Dgs2 and I played in the garden and then did a bit of puddle splashing as well as playing indoors.
Today will be more of the same. Outdoor play will depend on the weather. I will need to go to Aldi for a couple of things which we'll do on the way home from nursery drop off. Chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all.

Mizuna Tue 16-Apr-24 06:11:18

Good morning from a wet and blustery Cornwall, where I am back home after my one-and-a-half-day-long holiday. 😁 From the hotel I did some extensive bus-hopping and ended up in Penzance. St Michael's Mount was looking lovely as usual and in the railway station a magnificent nine-coach shining green train was waiting. A wonderful sight. The whole adventure cost me £64, including the hotel room, a splendid English breakfast and some random spending on stationery and an eyeshadow in Truro en route. I know how to live. 😂 I shall do it all again until I've had my knee replaced and can do some proper travelling. I want to start by visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park when I can walk again without pain.

Anyway, enough of dreaming... today I shall go down 16 steps to continue sorting my below-stairs workroom and get rid of the surplus wood I'll never use.

grandMattie Tue 16-Apr-24 06:10:17

So pleased for you, Ash. It must be wonderful to return to the driving seat!
It is a year since I drove. On very wet day, I miss my car, but on the whole, I really don’t mind.

Bellasnana Tue 16-Apr-24 06:10:10

Good morning from Malta where it is extremely windy, overcast and has been raining desert sand all over the place. Seems like a day indoors is on the cards.

My dental appointment went well, thanks to all for your kind words. I lay back, closed my eyes, enjoyed the playlist the dentist had kindly put on and tried not to think what he was doing in my mouth. The worst part of it all was the bill at the end!😂

I’ve arrived at the boys’, one is up and one still asleep. Porridge will be served shortly!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Ashcombe Tue 16-Apr-24 06:03:06

Good morning from a breezy but dry Torbay.

An interesting train journey back from Crewe yesterday as a tree was across the line South of Cheltenham, necessitating a diversion into South Wales and back via the Severn Tunnel Junction! The staff aboard the Cross Country train couldn’t have been more helpful, with the guard keeping us well informed about what would happen. The sun was shining and we had a superb view of the Severn Bridge. Although it added 45 minutes to our journey, it was a relief not to have to change trains. Apparently, the staff had agreed to work longer to avoid this happening.

Safe trip to Cornwall, Oops and I hope your fears for the weather don’t materialise!
How lovely to have heard from your sister, grandMattie!

Off to Props this morning but I need to chauffeur DH to the station as he’s having a day out. (So pleased I can drive again!)

Have the best day you can! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

grandMattie Tue 16-Apr-24 05:53:18

Good morning from a barely dawning Bristol.
Hope you have a good journey Oops.
Had a pleasant day yesterday. Was very surprised to receive a mail from my younger sister wishing me a happy birthday, as she cut off communication some 25 years ago!
The weather, although rather changeable and very windy, was pleasant and sunny. I shall soon be able to sit out. I did leave my front door open for an hour or so, to take in the fresh air.
I had invited my two neighbours to dinner. I think it was successful as they stayed on for some time, almost bedtime!
DS called in the afternoon and we had a good chat; he’s back at the end of next month. So excited.
The family called while my guests were here and DGD and I swapped birthday wishes. All in all a good day.
May today bring peace to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 16-Apr-24 05:44:40

Good morning Mick and all who follow.
Up early as we are off to Cornwall and I have to sort my wobbly head out, getting out of bed early helps. Bed to change, MrOops will clean the bathroom ready for MissOops to come here, her dog is already here.
Off to help with final packing for MzOops, not that I’ll be much use. Staying nearby but on the coast, so I can see the sea
( yaaay)
Let’s hope it stays dry, unlikely with MrOops track record of going to Cornwall.
Have a good day everyone.

Michael12 Tue 16-Apr-24 05:37:12
