Good morning from a brightening Sefton. A mostly sunny day is forecast. Yesterday was spent pottering about in the garden. In between cups of tea/coffee in the sunny bit of the garden I managed to 'tidy up' most of the pots. & give some of the shrubs a haircut. A very busy day today. Zoom exercise class first thing, followed by Pilates in a nearby town, a quick lunch then nursery pickup. We will spend the rest of the afternoon with our younger granddaughter as mum works from home. We will stay for our tea. Always a treat as I am right off cooking.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a dull chilly South Downs.

Has a productive day in the garden yesterday, and DHs back seemed a little better I thought.

Nothing planned today - so will potter my way through, bit of washing and ironing etc.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to all.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 0° and sunny. I'm another who had a disturbed night so I feel for GrandMattie and RosesandLilac. Ash I hope today goes well too. Susan enjoy your lunch out.
Yesterday I had to use all my wheedling charms on dgs2. He was a grumpy wee so and so all day. Once I managed to get him into the garden he was fine. Unfortunately I had to clear away cat mess from where the boys play. Some cat has been 'visiting' my garden recently.
Today I would like to spend time in the garden tidying up. I enjoy a quiet wednesday after the noise of the boys, especially now dgs2 is talking! It'll be a freezer dinner later, I know not what yet. Have a good day all.

Sailing into Malta.

Good morning from a bright W Kent. We are off to Lincolnshire today for a couple of days and then round to Norfolk a much needed break from the usual routines. Thick jumpers packed ready for the East coast!
Yesterday’s dental appointment went well thank goodness.
Thinking of those with medical appointments. Hope all the days out go well

Good morning everyone from the good ship Adventure as we moor alongside in an overcast Malta.
Am on a panoramic tour later this morning to see the sights.

Bellasnana and I had been making plans to meet up this afternoon but the lateness of my tour has made it difficult time-wise, and I fear being back too late to the ship and then it sailing without me! We are both disappointed.

I have been watching the sail-in from my balcony and it looks stunning.

Hoping all have a good day.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Looks to be a nice day.

I hope it will be restful. Yarn group and community lunch. Some more gardening too.

The insurance assessor spent ages yesterday taking photos outside and in. I now need to get quotes for repairs.

I hope your lack of sleep doesn't slow you down gMattie and that your appointments go well Ash

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire fenland. It is a blue sky but chilly day. I am off to London today with a friend to see a West End show. Lots going on at home at the moment so it will be lovely to escape for a day out. What to wear is challenging me though.
Hope everyone has a good day 🌹

Good morning all from a bright but chilly North Leicestershire.

Our cleaners will be here at 8.45 and DH will be off to the gym. I aim to do the ironing.

Yestrrday, we went for our Covid jabs at a small chemist in a nearby village. It was a walk-in session and was so busy we couldn't even park. So, we have a booked appointment today at a chemist in town.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
It looks a bit grey out but hopefully that will improve.
It is my long term conditions check today. I’ll also collect my monthly prescription.
When I get home I have a huge pile of WI admin to do. We have several new members whose details I have to put on the national database, plus all the records to be updated. This evening I have a lecture to watch on various aspects of London.
One of our friends announced shocking health problems last night so that is at the back of my mind, as I’m sure it is his!
Have a good day.

Sar53 Wed 24-Apr-24 06:29:52

Good morning from the Essex coast where the sun is shing already although I don't think it's due to last.
My first train is just after 9 on the long and arduous journey to Leamington to see my girls. I will be glad when DD1 collects me from the station. I'm still not 100% and still coughing but nowhere as bad as I was this time last week.
A busy few days ahead but looking forward to a hug from my 3 granddaughters, two of whom are taller than me now.
Enjoy Wednesday everyone xx

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset

I could have waved to you grandmattie, not much sleep here either. Annoying isn’t it?

Enjoyed yesterday, always a joy to see our friends and chat with out daughter in law. Grandson was his usual silent self after school. The look on his face says it all, yes you can talk to me but don’t expect me to answer. It’s the only time he’s quiet.

Bus excursion today, back to the eye hospital. I’m told to expect a four hour appointment. Hope to at least understand more.

Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Edinburgh where it’s dry and bright.
I collected DGD from her ukulele lesson after school yesterday then had a pleasant walk home with her.

A fairly hectic evening but the children were great. DoutL was out early this morning for her London flight and I can hear DS and the children now so I’d better get a move on.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a cloudy Torbay.

Thank you for your good wishes for olddudders yesterday, who reached home safely last night after a mostly good journey apart from the final train being delayed by unexplained stops en route.

I appreciated the kind thoughts regarding my steroid injection for carpal tunnel syndrome which was administered without the pain I’d been told to expect by a “kind” friend. Having the procedure thoroughly explained by a capable GP certainly helped me to be relaxed, which is what I did for the rest of the day! My heart did a little dance once I was home but that soon passed and I’ve slept without problem.

Today I look forward to speaking to my cardiologist from Torbay Hospital on the phone for my annual review and discussion about the procedures undertaken on Monday. Later, I hope to go to Wednesday Club for a quiz.

I’m sorry you had a poor experience yesterday regarding blood being taken yesterday, grandMattie by someone who sounds as if she’s in the wrong job!

I hope the meal is good, Pantglas2.

How wonderful to see fawns, RosesandLilacs, despite having your dog there.
Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

RosesandLilac Wed 24-Apr-24 06:07:20

Good morning Mick and followers, it’s a cold, grey and uninspiring start to Wednesday here on the hillside in south Glos, after a very restless night.
I will get DH to drop the dog and I off in the village this morning for a walk back across the fields and through the woods for a change. We might have a coffee in the village cafe en route.
He’s still faffing around with the patio 🙄, I am waiting for the moaning when the delivery of the shed and summerhouse tomorrow means that it’s walked on before everything is set (he’s had 2 weeks to lay a dozen slabs)
I had a lovely dog walk with a friend again yesterday, we watched several deer with tiny fawns wobbling along behind their mums 😍. Everything is greening up now, just wishing for more sun!
Have a lovely day 🌹

Pantglas2 Wed 24-Apr-24 06:05:32

Buen dia 🇪🇸and belated St George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 greetings!

Up early to take the 🚗 for its service before the ITV (MOT) next week - Mr PG spent the last few days checking her over and took her to the car wash for a quick spruce as you’re not allowed to clean it on the street!

A menu del dia for 12€ at a new-to-us restaurant to look forward to today 😋 before a stroll home and finish my latest thriller in the sunshine 🌞

Hope you all have something good to look forward to today and hugs and 💐 for those with troubles x

grandMattie Wed 24-Apr-24 06:02:56

Good morning from Bristol.
I’m exhausted; I’ve been awake for over 3 hours. Rubbish night.
Never got blood out yesterday at the “our future health place”. I don’t understand because my veins are a doddle to bleed. The nurse was not very friendly or chatty. Not very pleasant. All vitals excellent.
We were three for the hairdresser in the afternoon. One neighbour, it was her first cut with this lady, was thrilled with her cut.
Today, there is the complex coffee meeting, then I’ve got an online course on patchworking this evening. I’ll have a nap in the afternoon.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight with a grey sky here in brackley this morning , and no doubt that chilly cold North Easterly wind as well.
Today usual routine with bus to Bicester , I have been talking to someone over this last few weeks as we see each other most days just a friendly chat .
Then come home and watch cycling from a favourite part of Switzerland in Romandie.
