Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Enjoyed the G&S production yesterday. There is always a stand out performance and this time it was the Lord High Chancellor and his patter songs and acting, smart as a whip. Young family round me, behaved impeccably as often they can get very bored during this type of performance.

Off soon on a bus day trip to North Wales, so I have my packed lunch and coffee etc all prepared. I had an earlyish night (for me..)

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and dry again (sorry) with some clouds. BlueSapphire your cruise sounds like it's been a real tonic for you. Bellasnana it's a lovely feeling when dgc are pleased to see you.
Yesterday I picked up dgs1 for his sleepover. We had a lovely time together and I enjoyed it as much as he did. Lots of playing with cars, playing in the sandpit and playing skittles. Then in for munching popcorn and watching tv snuggled together. He enjoyed his bath too. My bath is deep and at home he has a shower or has to share with his brother. He practised his reading and was really proud of being able to read nearly all the words. Later we looked at the globe and looked for different countries before he went to bed. I had a fairly early night and was only up once.
Today I'll take him home about lunchtime then visit mum. I'll tidy up the toys too. At the moment ,he's still sleeping. I'm treating myself to a sirloin steak for dinner. Have a good day all.

I am going to make a cup of tea and bring it back to bed and spend a couple of peaceful hours before we head off for our ten days of childcare late morning🤪

Morning Mick, morning All from a damp and chilly corner of Somerset. Forecast says dry by 10. Do I dare believe it?

A mix of indoor faffing and 🤞 gardening pottering today. Hope to hear something of our granddaughters other grandma who is very unwell. Dementia has progressed at an incredibly fast pace and appropriate care hard to secure. The family are in bits.

Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

We are off soon to our seaside cottage and will stay for however long it takes the garage to fix the sit upon mower and our very old MG. I have to come home by Friday as it’s little DGD ‘s dancing show on Saturday, so I’ll come home by train.

mizuna, ash this talk of Wetherspoons is making me nostalgic. It was a running joke among family and friends that on our travels three things were certain, no matter where in the country we were a visit to Wetherspoons, Costa and M & S cafe always featured. 15 different Wetherspoons and counting 😀.
Up early this morning with a sore arm thanks to yesterday’s Covid jab. Very impressed by our Surgery. We arrived early as our friend was booked in 20 minutes before us. We were in and out in ten minutes. They had 4 doctors giving injections, in the front door, give name sent to room, jabbed then out of the side door!!
Usual Sunday morning for me, exercise bike and The Archers.
Not opened curtains yet so can’t comment on the weather here.

Good morning from a wet Cambridgeshire. I was hoping to get some new plants in the garden today but will sort my wardrobes out instead to see what summer clothes I have in anticipation of some warmer weather soon. A friend is popping in for a coffee mid morning, roast beef to cook and then some time reading my kindle. DD2 gets the keys to her new home this week so anticipating a busy time helping her prepare to leave her rental and into her new home. New beginnings for her and the GC

Blue Sapphire I am loving hearing about your cruise, we are considering one for our 70th birthdays next year.

Good morning from dull and grey South Lanarkshire.

Enjoy Hydra Blue, it’s high on the list of my favourite places.

We spent a few hours with DD and the children yesterday which doesn’t happen often due to their busy calendars. Our dogs got along well, their pup is much calmer now and our daft dug isn’t so overwhelmed by it. Bodes well for our holiday together in the summer.

This afternoon we’re off to Edinburgh to take cards and gifts for the two eldest GC there who are both celebrating their birthdays which fall within a few days of each other.

At the church coffee morning, I chatted to a charming 97 y.o. Hong Kong Chinese man. He was an engineer, has been in the UK since the early 1950s, married a Greek lady who died of dementia last year. We chatted about reverting to our mother tongue in old age. Like me he has two…
In the afternoon, I had a cuppa with my neighbour opposite. We had a good old chinwag.
To day, I’m at the 10 o’clock service, but nothing else.

Good morning, a very soggy start here in south Glos and I wish I hadn’t looked at the forecast for the week ahead 🫣😵‍💫
The rain really is starting to feel interminable here, I don’t think we’ve had more than a handful of dry days since New Year.
The dog and I had a very wet but good walk around a big field near us with me throwing sticks she enjoyed a lot of chasing around. i could see the deer and fawns over the stone wall, she couldn’t so they weren’t disturbed buy her. It’s so lovely to see them 🦌
Today more dog walks, a roast dinner and fingers crossed that the chap helping with the shed gets back in touch to help finish it this week. He said he’d be back yesterday……🤞🏻

Good morning from cold, wet and dreary s somerset. I am dressed in winter clothes and have a warm scarf around my neck and it is may next week

A listless sleep last night and all because I have mis-placed a battered old thin stainless metal bowl. Such a handy bowl and I cannot find it anywhere so my mind was occupied every time I woke up through the night

I am not doing any work today, apart from bowl-hunting in the garage, compost bins and outside. I know I am going to waste the day but so be it

Good morning from a dull but calm and dry (so far!) Torbay.

Yesterday, I managed a short walk to the Downs while it was dry then tackled the ironing that has accumulated since DH left for France, leaving plenty of washing with which I’m gradually catching up.

You certainly seem to be having a wonderful time on your cruise, BlueSapphire and I look forward to your enthusiastic daily bulletins and photos.

I always enjoy meals at Wetherspoons, Mizuna. From their inception, they’ve had a policy of no TV or music which is appreciated by those of us who eat out to socialise.

Good morning from Malta where we have a similar day to yesterday with a high of 20°C but becoming very windy as the day goes on.

Mass at 11.30 then back to watch the tennis. I enjoyed seeing Rafa play yesterday, also had a surprise visit from DD3 and the boys. Apparently littlest one had been asking for Nana so I was very happy when I heard a little voice calling me and tapping on the door.

Must get up, I feel so decadent lying in bed when I’m usually up and out by now. Not that it really matters.

Good morning everyone from a very wet Oxfordshire.

Dog day today plus her usual sleep over, a couple of wet walks will happen, unless she digs her heels in and refuses to go out. She isn’t a lover of the rain.

MzOops hands over the keys to her house tomorrow, but the paperwork for the house she is buying is progressing very slowly, so after tomorrow she will be homeless. Furniture will all be in storage and plenty here as well.
As our GD will also be homeless on Tuesday it’s a fraught time, A lot of her stuff will arrive here on Tuesday to be stored until she can move in July, we haven’t been well enough to be anything but moral support for them both, plus some Bank of Dad help. I think by the time we get back from our holiday ( if it happens) they will both be living here for a while.

Anyway, what will be will be.

Good morning from a rainy but fresh, bright Cornwall. My patio smells of mint and lavender in the rain. I've been scraping aside thick slippery moss on the steps leading from my patio up to my wood and left it in piles for the gulls, who march up and down the steps like purposeful people. They are using it to make their nest on my flat roof.

Today I've had two invitations for food later, but my son beat my daughter-in-law to it by several hours, so we'll be eating out somewhere before his taxi night shift, probably Wetherspoons as it's just across the road.

Good morning everyone from my cabin on Adventure, 7.30am here, and a bright sunny morning, as we approach the island of Hydra.

A pleasant day in Katakolon yesterday; I left the ship to have a wander around the pretty little town, browsed the shops and walked along the waterfront.

Returned to the ship in time for a hot stone massage, which was absolute bliss- not had one before, and have booked another!
Good company at pre-dinner drinks and dinner, and delicious food - I chose the John Dorey fish for my main; there is always a fish main course and I love fish!

To go ashore today we need to get a tender, so will go later on once the rush has died down. Hydra is a traffic-free island, not even bikes; transport is by donkey or horse.

Wish I could send some of our lovely weather back for you all!
