Munchies at midnight!

Sort of on my way to bed I got distracted by a new Elizabeth Buchan book, felt a little peckish and have just enjoyed a bowl of granola with ice cold milk - I had forgotten just how good that is!
Am I alone with my guilty secret?

Crackers and cheese and some fruit in bed while reading. Thats my snack.

I’m more a 1a.m. snacker - I sleep fairly well after that 😂

@Redhead56.

I totally agree with you, toast lathered in Kerrygold butter and then spread with Marmite. Delicious.

Sago

I’m so envious, I do 16/8 so nothing after 7.30pm.

We do 16:8 too, but it's our normal way of living now so we don't even think about food. In fact we eat enough during our 8 hours that we don't get hungry outside those hours.

I used to love muesli so much that I couldn't have it in the place.

It's a killer for indigestion, though.

I love a bowl of cereal in the evening - I have this a few times a week at least. My favourites are crunchy nut cornflakes and banana flavour weektabix.

I go for cheese in the night, has to be comté. Trouble is cheese is the worst thing to choose for indigestion and nightmares!

I sometimes do a late shift at work, get home hungry and grab the nearest cereal pack.Granola is one of the best for a quick fill up.

Same here Sago but it doesn’t bother me now, it’s our normal.

I’ve heard that is what the light in the fridge is for 😀

Esmay Tue 30-Apr-24 09:20:11

I can't sleep without a snack - so it's two chocolate biscuits and a cup of tea .
I've stopped eating entire packets of chocolate biscuits during the day so I don't feel too guilty !

Cornflakes with yogurt please

Thank goodness I have never felt the urge to eat during the night. However, I could eat snack after snack all day long and never stop!

Witzend Tue 30-Apr-24 09:09:35

Last night I came down at about 3 am and had a bowl of Rice Krispies (trying to steer clear of gluten).

Not at all unusual here, though it’s more often an apple cut into eighths, with some little cubes of cheese.

It’s been a long time since I did anything remotely resembling ‘sleeping through’.

I can't sleep unless I have a bedtime snack- often toast glad it isn't just me!

Just had shreddies, cold milk, and a cup of tea,Lovely.

I really, really love shreddies, but they "play me up".
I'd love a bowl of them so much!

After late nights at The Little Theatre (my second home!) I sometimes enjoy cereal. “Breakfast” at bedtime is comforting! (I used to like tinned rice pudding but struggle to open tins these days!)

I find I sleep better after a bit of supper. Chocolate works best for me.

MissAdventure Tue 30-Apr-24 00:47:59

I've just had toast!

Toast butter and Marmite my weakness just can’t resist always late at night.

Midnight munchies are the best sort.

One of my daughter's abiding memories was the sound of the grill pan sliding out, shortly after she had gone to bed.
Not at midnight, but an extra, uncalled for, and lovely couple of slices of toast. smile
