Good morning from a windy but warm Malta.
As usual I’m with my beloved grandsons. Wishing my granddaughter wasn’t so far away. It’s 18 months since I’ve seen her but Florida is too far for a visit at the moment.
Sat up watching tennis last night which did my nerves no good at all! More of the same later. 🎾
Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good Morning Tuesday 30th April 2024
(43 Posts)Good morning from a glorious sunny South Downs.
Yesterday I spent all day outside, including lunch in the garden and sat reading for a couple of hours in the lovely sun (factor 50) - what a relief after the ghastly weather we’ve been having.
Today is a repeat - so will make the most of it. Rain forecast for tomorrow.
I watched a little sparrow spending all day building his nest in the eaves. He has to really squeeze himself into the roof space and with a beak full of nesting material it isn’t easy. Busy little chap. Still the chicks will be nice and dry.
Enjoy the day all.
Peace and harmony to the world.
Good morning all from a bright and sunny North Leicestershire.
I have choir this morning and then lots of pootling and faffing.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a rainy Cornwall. The two big trees on the pavement outside my window are greening now and gradually filling the view. Gulls are everywhere with all their beaks full of twigs for their nests.
This morning I'm off to my prayer friend's house for two hours, then home to don my painty overalls - my favourite gear - and continue tackling the Big Sort Out in my underground workroom, where the walls need painting. I found a box of mementoes in there, including a Bible that fits into a matchbox which my elder son thought was lost when my dad died, so he was delighted. Also a candlestick carved by dad, one centimetre wide. He loved tiny things, as does his grandson.
Good morning from Durham. Another dry, bright start, but every day seems to end up wet.
I have DD2’s laundry to tackle and the Alarm people are coming later to find out why the alarm isn’t working - I blame Octopus. A bit of weed removal is on the cards, as is some rearranging in the garage.
Best wishes to all. X
A bright & breezy morning here in Sefton with more than a hint of rain clouds on the horizon. A warmish day is forecast. We'll see.
U3A this morning & a bit of admin this afternoon.
That's the best view of the Acropolis/Parthenon Blue Sapphire imo. We visited just pre Covid - there was a horrible crowded climb to the top on very unstable stony steps, (sharp elbows & a helping hand needed) lots of scaffolding on the temples & was awash with people taking selfies. So disappointing You missed nothing. Enjoy the rest of your cruise - you look to be having a wonderful time.
Have a good day all.
Morning everyone please does anybody know where spring is?
I have an appointment with the dental hygienist firs thing, I am terrified of all things dental.
I am looking forward to lunch afterwards, it was a dear friend’s 70th birthday last week, today 11 ladies are celebrating with her.
I have school pick up (the 9 yr old) and pre-school pick up (The Imp) time to give them a quick snack then off to swimming lessons.
Have a good day folks 🙋♀️
To think I was there barely a month ago, BlueSapphire! Gorgeous, isn’t it?
Good morning from a dry NE where the sun is starting to rise.
Yesterday I thought I would just order my repeat prescription online, what a palaver. They had changed the log in procedure and I had to install an authenticator on my phone, use the QR reader and insert the 6 digit code. I could not type fast enough before the code changed, it took five attempts to get on to the site and only succeeded by SIL talking me through it from Brussels and the use of two computers, two mobiles and a landline 🤬 four hours on the computer resulting in backache.
I managed to rebook my covid vaccination for a pharmacy a few miles away and that will be on Thursday, hopefully.
My sister arrived by taxi during the afternoon, she brought lemon drizzle cake she had baked.
Today will be spent doing light housework.
Have a good day.
Good morning everyone from Adventure as we approach Heraklion in Crete; slightly overcast this morning, but hoping it will clear by lunchtime when I am on a tour. Almost 8am here; will have a later breakfast as will miss lunch on board.
Yesterday we had a coach tour of Athens (in terrible traffic), with the guide pointing out places of historical or political importance. A tour of the Acropolis was not included, but we.did stop at a very good viewing point where we were able to get our photographs.
I spent the afternoon on deck with my Kindle and a Pina Colada!
After a good dinner I went to the rock'n'roll show in the large lounge, where the resident musical trio entertained us; dancing was encouraged and some of the guests showed off their best moves!
Wishing all a pleasant Tuesday.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and wet. Yesterday was a very cold day, so unseasonal. Enjoy your trip Mick. GrandMattie how nice to have a gardener who likes flowers! I seem to encounter the hack em bunch.
Yesterday was a good day with dgs2. We did get outside into the sandpit and also collecting small stones to throw on my front garden bed. I'm busy trying to clear it of stones and he's filling it up again 🙄.
Today will be more of the same, I'm sure. I have a Tesco delivery later once the boys have been dropped off to restock the cupboards. Apart from that, just a quiet day in central Scotland. Have a good day all.
Good morning from s somerset, bleak windy weather, dark skies and rain for the whole day
I came down to the scent of jasmine filling the house, last night I burnt a good quality incense stick in the kitchen (safely) while I was in the other room. Such a light and lovely uplifting scent is lingering. My first incense stick
I need to finish my caftan, in case we ever get hot weather and also set some dwarf bean seeds to sprout on damp kitchen roll. I will plant them in root trainers as soon as I see signs of life
Have a good day
Good morning from North Wales.Another windy day forecast but hopefully warmer than yesterday.
Yesterday was bitterly cold with heavy rain showers which meant no playing in the garden for H.The children were both really good but I was in bed not long after them! The travellers arrived safely in Antigua.
Today is another busy day.I will do the morning and midday school runs.I also need to do laundry. This afternoon I have Welsh class so DH will pick H up at 3.15, M at 4.15 and me at 5.30.A chippy tea tonight.
Thinking of our absent good morningers.
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Good morning Mick and everyone, I don’t know what it’s like outside yet, I haven’t looked, but I suspect it’s cold.
Yesterday the shed build was completed, I’m absolutely delighted with it, so today I will assemble the shelving and sort out the large pile of bits that came out of the greenhouse- DD will take quite a lot, my neighbour’s interested in anything going too.
It was so cold here in south Glos yesterday, despite gloves, hat and scarf as well as a thick coat I didn’t enjoy my early dog walk, I affected my breathing too which is exasperating. The afternoon walk wasn’t any better ☹️🙄
I presume that at some point it will warm up but not forecast for here in the next 10 days or so.
Enjoy your trip to Bicester Mick and I hope that everyone has a good day 🌹
Good morning from an overcast, breezy Torbay.
Today I need to be out early for an eight o’clock appointment with the podiatrist. Luckily, she practises nearby within the local shops so a very short walk - or should I say hobble?! I have a painful big toe which could be caused by an ingrowing toenail. I last visited her in 2017, following hip surgery. (I have managed to cut my toe nails since then, in case you’re wondering!!)
Later I’ll be doing my usual stint with the Props team at our theatre.
Wishing everyone a good day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning from a dawning Bristol. The birds have been singing away for nearly two hours.
I have been trying to get the management to cut back a Choisya “hedge” under my window since I moved her. Yesterday, at last, I spoke to the gardener who, mercifully, is one not just a bloke with a lawnmower like the last contractors. He had been told to do it, but because the bushed are in full bloom, he is reluctant to cut back ATM. I don’t mind as long as the overgrown, neglected shrubs ar3 dealt with. I’d do it but am not allowed to!
I spent the afternoon patchworking, using leftover squares from various previous projects. The finished article will be for a church raffle during the year.
Today, outdoor tai chi. I must also do my Spanish homework for Friday as I’m busy most of th3 rest of the week.
May today be kind to you. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
