I do understand that we have to be secure on line - we do not want people with ill intent to access our information. But in my experience, passwords can be a menace! I might......just might.....write them down.......but next time I go to whichever site it is, often it says my password doesn't match my email address. So I get a new password, and the roundabout starts again.
Then there are authentication codes (or OTPs) which you get some other way, via an app. And this is not always straight forward either. My GP practice has just introduced an app for authentication.......which turned out to ask me questions I did not fully understand and ask for more passwords, but I didn't know which ones were needed......Am I alone in struggling with all this? And is there a better way? Or do I just have to take a deep breath, keep calm, and find a way through?
