Llfl 💐. Families? Couldn’t eat a whole one!
Good Morning Tuesday 28th July 2926
Good Morning Everyone,
Just daylight and its dry here in brackley this morning .
Today , usual bus trip to Bicester , tempted with weather getting milder to wear more seasonal lighter garments .
Hopefully meet up with people I know before returning home for lunch and a nap followed by cycling on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Gwood morning all, and it's a sunny one here on the Angus coast. With rain forecast for the next two days I'd better get a shift on and get a washing on ready to hang out when I get back from tai chi. No problem about it drying - that wind is still blowing strongly!
Yesterday was dire - rain and haar from beginning to end, and so cold I got my heated throw out again to wrap round myself in the evening.
Mizuna please do apply for the Repair Shop - they have such interesting things on these days, and your old typewriter sounds as if it has an exotic backstory.
Fish 'n chips by the pool sounds wonderful to me Bluesapphire! Enjoy your trip today as well.
Susan sorry about your tumble - I hope it hurt your pride more than anything else!
Now off I go to round up some washing before heading down to tai chi. Enjoy your day everyone and stay cosy if you're under the cloud today x
Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country, where at least it is dry for now.
Postal vote done here, so no need to go to the Polling Station.
Covid Jab yesterday, so have a sore arm now.
Thursday walk this morning, then this afternoon start sorting out clothes to pack for our trip to Malaga on Sunday.
Have a lovely day everyone
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it isc10 °C.
GN has been swamped once again by scam posts, hence the bumping to knock them off the active list.
Susan, I do hope you are OK after your fall and that you are feeling a bit brighter, Mizuna. I didn't get time to respond yesterday, the day flew by.
I was delighted with my trip to the hairdresser yesterday. It's not often I come out and am satisfied with the styling, I usually want to wash it again.
I look as if I have had a full hair of highlights and it's actually my own hair.😄 I sent DD a selfie with the caption, Love the hair, shame about the face! When did I become so OLD ?
At last I have been given a date to start my new treatment. What a palaver, I was half an hour on the phone with the the company, who organise the injections. Initially I thought it was a scam call and was going to ignore it.
The lady was rather nippy to begin with, saying they had difficulty contacting me. I explained that I was already on their system, therefore they could have emailed me or phoned my landline. No that couldn't be done, as I was a new patient.
Later in the conversation, she said she would email me. However I hadn't given her my information, so how did she know it? Because she already had it on the system.
She was obviously reading from a script and I knocked her out of kilter her by asking so many questions.
She wanted to deliver the injections the day before First Communion, I politely declined. Far too busy). Boy was she persistent. They must be directly delivered to me or a named family member and stored in the middle shelf of the fridge, away from the sides, so a neighbour can't take them in!!
We eventually agreed on a date, then she totally surprised me, by saying she also had to organise a home visit by a nurse to check my health. I explained that with previous biologics, I had never needed a home visit, so why this time. Apparently the hospital have requested it. They are certainly thorough.
After giving the dates that I would be away on holiday, she offered me a date when I would be away!!🤣
However, I had finished yet. I have £1000 of unused and unsuitable injections sitting in my fridge and a box of sharps, that no-one wants to take responsibility for the disposal.
Politely explaining that her company were responsible, for they had managed that drug regime, she put me on hold for fifteen minutes to try and arrange the disposal!
I had nearly lost the will to live after being subjected to loud, jazzed up classical music.
In fact I am relieved that I will be able to enjoy my holiday and Dollie's First Communion, with feeling awful. It takes me weeks of feeling extremely grim, before my body gets used to them.
I wish you all a good day. DH and I are off out for lunch at a local Italian seafood restaurant. I have a voucher and I won £20 in the parish 200 club. There is such a thing as a free lunch. 🤣
Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s bright and breezy.
I have washing on.
I’m going to pop into town to collect some shoes and sandals and some fresh salad and bread.
This evening two friends are coming round to discuss a bit more about our trip to Andalusia in September. Flights and accommodation are all sorted. We need to look at trains and excursions. I’m not really such a pre planner but going with the flow!
Have a good day everyone.
Bump
Bump - thanks, Md, I now understand the “bumping”.
Good morning from a bright warm, humid Colchester. The forecast storm hasn't reached here yet. 21° is forecast and back to 12 tomorrow.
A housework day here with a change of bedding and thorough dust removal.
We sent in our postal votes last week. We have Council elections and one for Police and Crime commissioner. We had no idea the 2nd one was happening until we received the voting slips.
Please vote if you can today.
Keep bumping people...GNHQ needs to do something about the SPAM.
Love to all 🦩 x
Bump
Good morning everyone ☔️
Morning all from a very soggy S Hants, violent storms for at least a couple of hours overnight, me coughing too, Sar it’s wearing isn’t it.
En-suite still not finished, a missing part, hopefully today 🤞
Susan I hope you’re not too sore.
Enjoy your wee trip Bonny.
Off to vote at some point today, the local apathy at elections irritates me.

I totally forgot that this is the second of May, DIL's birthday. Where has April gone?.
I love thunder and lightning. A good storm energises me. The worst one I lived through was in Corfu and we could see it hitting Albania before it came over. It was very scary. Still didn't put me off though
The first time I flew, GMB was during the night on a Dan Air Comet. There was thunder and lightening for the whole journey. I was sure I was going to die!
Good Morning It seems to have rained in the night , dry patches where cars were parked
I actually slept till after eight this morning
Better get the kettle on
Looks like the scammer is a robot ? Just automatically posting , such a shame
Good morning all. Hope the thunder storms pass you over quickly. We are going to vote soon while it's dry here.
This is just a 'bump' really - have a good day everyone.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle.
What a change yesterday was...I went into town for my hair appointment without a jacket on! It was hot, it was sunny and I wore sunglasses.
The hairdresser did her usual good job and I heard all the local news, good and bad.
Afterwards, I treated myself to coffee and biscuits and offloaded 2 bags of books in the charity shop. I still have plenty though.
In the afternoon, it was out in the garden to do a little planting and some deadheading...my tulips are just about finished now.
I was hot by the time I'd finished.
Today the ironing beckons and then a bit of cleaning up in the kitchen, after which some admin. I'll catch up with my magazines in the afternoon before this month's one arrives shortly.
I hope that bad weather down south soon clears up and doesn't come up here!
Have a good day everyone.
Awaiting hairdresser - why is it that the day you have a haircut booked your hair looks just right? Nothing else planned but plenty to read and sort out on a very dismal morning with the lights on - doesn’t feel like May. Hope all goes to plan for everyone.
Good Morning from a dull Cambridgeshire )East Anglia ) at the moment but we have 20degrees forecast for later ☀️🕶️ Maybe a roof down drive .
Yesterday we had a less than impressive afternoon tea in a local hotel , a Christmas Present from SS: DIL .
Also I had a call from MSK unit re my OA knees , I had a 3rd or was it 4th steroid injection 4th January which has now worn off , obviously the more you have the less it works & it took me so long to even get that GP appointment in January !
I had been in so much agony for 4 days since coming home from my DD ( lots of driving, obviously didn’t help ) On Monday I booked an online GP call back request, that’s was dealt with within a few minutes by that referral text . So pretty impressive from my surgery .👌
Then this morning we have woken up to no water 🚿 not a drop through our taps !!! Anglian Water are pretty good & usually email any work being done . after registering the issue via an online chat an AW engineer called back within minutes , to tell us one other person had reported the issue & it had been caused by ‘ a workman fitting a boiler , further up the road & he had switched the supply off ‘ ! Not realising it served a number of houses ! 🏘️ he could of just switched the one house he was working on off !!
[Anyway , it’s still not working
This afternoon, I am off to a Literary Festival with my friends from college .
We also have a builder coming regarding a conservatory that we may have installed.
Happy Thursday everyone
Good morning everyone from soggy south Glos, I was awoken by the thunderstorm at 4-ish but managed to go back to sleep.
Sadly our lovely neighbour died last night, he was only 55, I feel so much for his wife and family.
So far this morning I have dropped a parcel off at the village shop for Evri, started making vegetable soup for lunch, there’s a chicken in the slow cooker, liver in the dehydrator for dog treats and a Victoria sponge in the oven so a bit busy.
DH says he’s walking the dog but she’s getting impatient 🙄 because he’s faffing around.
DD and her dog are coming this morning sometime, for a few days, which will be lovely.
Let’s hope it dries up soon 🌹
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Another quiet day in the offing. I will root out a pencil drawing I did of our art group member who died, to give to her sister.
Now I have finished the book group choice, I can read a book I really fancy “Diary of a Provincial Lady”.
Life will be so much better for you when you have had your operation Mizuna
I do hope things can be resolved between yours sons LLFL, it’s horrid having worries on your mind.
Very late getting up due to thunderstorms and torrential rain in our part of Oxfordshire, dull, and still raining which is due to stay all day.
The house is in chaos, filled with MzOops boxes and bags.
I’ll have to come back and read your posts later
Have a good day everyone
Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 15°C.
Yesterday I enjoyed a lovely May Day walk down to the river. The tide was quite low and a few shell ducks were padding about the muddy banks. Lots of swallows and terns swooping about around the lock, it’s always a cheering sight to see these summer visitors.
A little housework to do today, my usual physio routine and a walk. I have very little energy left after my walk, so I try to do a few tasks before I go out. The polling station is in the bridge control building, which I can see from here, so I will cast my vote when I go out.
I hope those refunds are on their way GrandMattie.
Wishing you all a good day 🌻
Morning from wild and windy South Lanarkshire, cold too in spite of what the forecast said, vest back on!
Sorry you’ve got family upset Llfl, it’ll pass, just maybe not quite as quickly as you’d like.💐
Other than some shopping, a day at home which I am relishing
Hopefully a FaceTime coffee/call with my Corby sister, we’ve been missing each other’s calls.
Thinking always of those who need support and wishing everyone a good day.
