Good morning from Durham. A dry, but windy day is forecast.
Yesterday’s eye test didn’t go as well as I’d hoped and I’m being referred to the local eye infirmary, which was a bit of a shock.
Today, the gardeners are due and the council is collecting an old freezer, which I managed to drag down the drive last night.
DD1 will ring later to tell me the latest news on her FinL, whip is in residential care and not at all happy with it. It’s very sad, but he’s incapable of looking after himself.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from a wet (I think) South Downs. Thunder during the night. We didn’t have the rain forecast for yesterday, so I guess it came overnight. A dryish day forecast today but dull.

Enjoyed my meet-up with my friend yesterday, and caught up with all her news. She had, yesterday morning, picked up a brand new car which is identical to ours as she likes our so much😄. Good choice I said.

Voting today, shopping delivery, ironing, potting on some seedlings and a Vietnamese monkfish recipe for supper, so far planned.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony

Good morning all from an overcast North Leicestershire.

We have a Carer's session at the Memory Cafe this morning.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning everyone from a beautiful sunny 🌞morning here on Adventure, as we approach Syracuse in Sicily. Up early (7.15 here) as I have an excursion booked at 8.45; just a panoramic tour of the town with stops for photographs.

A day at sea yesterday. Hot Stone massage in the morning, then relaxed on the top deck with my book. Formal dinner.and cocktail party last night. A single gentleman requested my company for dinner! We had a pleasant hour or so then went our separate ways for the rest of the evening, me to the bar for an espresso martini, then to the large lounge for songs from the musicals.

Time to go.to breakfast, a light one this morning, as I fancy fish and chips by the pool for lunch.

Have a pleasant Thursday everyone.

Good morning from a soggy Torbay! It seems like the SW is having a soaking, judging from comments from grandMattie and karmalady!

Gosh! I bet that typewriter could tell some stories, Mizuna!
I hope you aren’t too achy today, Susan56, after your fall.

I had planned an early trip to Lidl, but I’ll wait until the rain eases off in a few hours…..maybe! .

Yes, luluaugust, it was the Ken Russell film about Delius that was shown yesterday. Unfortunately, it was decided to view it in two parts and we shall be away next week. However, the owner of the DVD is willing to lend it to me at a later date which means DH and I can both watch.

I hope today sees those in pain of any kind finding relief. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from Cornwall where it's raining. Yesterday there were a few hours of sun which helped dry my washing.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about my daughter. We chatted last night and she assured me that she's happy not to come down until August, when hopefully I'll have recovered from my knee replacement.

Today I'll continue sorting downstairs. Yesterday down there I found an ancient typewriter my author uncle wrote his books on whilst he was an actor in India. It could do with a session at The Repair Shop!

Good morning from North Wales.A dry day forecast.

Household chores and laundry are up to date so we will try and have a restful day between school runs. The children have a birthday party straight after school then cubs for DGD at 6.

I slippped over coming in from hanging the washing out yesterday so feeling a bit battered and bruised today.

I hope you hear from the bank today grandMattie. It’s been traumatic enough without you having to start battling beurocracy.

Thoughts with Kalu, Urms, Doodle and all our absent posters.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from soggy, windy and bleak s somerset. It has been pouring down for hours

Obviously an indoor day for me, I need to sort my fridge and squeeze some freezer space. Then back to my books which keep my brain ticking and knowledge increasing. I am not going to sew today, don`t know where my sewing mojo has gone. I only have the final stages of a caftan to finish and only then will I tidy away my heavy machine. It stands on my dining table, making me feel guilty

It is a hoolie out there, intensely nasty

Have a good day

Good morning from a damp Bristol. Thunder started around 0420 but may not linger.
We were forecast dry weather until 1500 yesterday, soi hung my washing out. It started to drizzle as I was going out so had to leave it on the line. I came home 2 hours later to find very damp laundry! 🙁
The TG meeting was more interesting than I expected, a talk by the Air Ambulance chap, which I’d heard at WI last month! He’d changed several things…
Today, indoor tai chi. BTW, I’ve already voted by post, so no need to go to a polling station which, incidentally, is in my church. Tai chi takes place in the church hall!
Usual weekly dinner with DD and family tonight.
I must do my Spanish homework and start on those tutus this afternoon.
I’m supposed to hear from the bank with a refund on my scammed funds today. I’m not holding my breath. I shall write a very stiff letter quoting a law regarding refunds and threaten the financial ombudsman. I have been very patient, but shall raise Cain now. I’m not a natural fighter but don’t see why I should be penalised.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
