Its bright and dry at the moment here in brackley this morning.
I have nothing planned apart from maybe a bus trip to the cemetery to do usual things .
Have lunch and watch cycling on TV this afternoon.

Good morning all. Misty, murky, damp but no wind on the Angus coast. We did have a couple of lovely days last week, though, when sitting in the sun was possible.
Lovely day yesterday lots of facetime chat with DD and New Man in Malta. This holiday was her special gift from NM to celebrate her 50th birthday back in January - she was born in Malta. It was wonderful to 'see' it again but when she showed me the esplanade in Bugibba near where we used to live, I couldn't recognise a single thing - it has all changed so much! Wonderful trip down memory lane for me though.
Today is a tai chi committee meeting, so I had better get moving. I've slept late - body seems to have gone back into hibernation mode, waiting for summer 😂. Haven't read any posts but hope all are well x
No plans for this grey but warm holiday Monday but I have no urge to join crowds these days, though I used to enjoy a local one day agricultural show and hope the rain holds off for it.
Have so enjoyed Blue Sapphire’s pictures and am glad the cruise has been such a success - a vicarious holiday.
Lovely photos from Malaga Bluesapphire it is indeed a lovely city. Many people just see the airport there but it’s worth a visit in its own right.

Yesterday was warm and sunny. I had a lovely walk and spent a little time watching the steam trains and taking photos. Nothing planned for this bank holiday Monday, we’ll take it as it comes.

Morning from the edge of South Lanarkshire where it’s dull and wet, oh what a surprise.
DD4 and SiL are off on holiday and my dog loving sister in law is staying in their house for a week looking after their wee dog who isn’t at all well. She is great with animals so their minds are relatively at ease. I came down after mass yesterday and we had a lovely day together.
Later this morning I will be heading home to go to my chair yoga class after which I’m off to Glasgow to look after DGS tomorrow while DD takes DGD to a medical appointment.

Good morning from a dry NE.
Another disturbed night with shoulder pain.
DD and SIL came yesterday afternoon and he sorted out the NHS app on my computer and installed it on my tablet too, hopefully it will make repeat prescription ordering easier.
We had chicken breasts wrapped in prosciutto for dinner which I prepared myself but bought vegetarian look alike ones for DD. Wine was a very decent Sancerre.
Today I need to sort my holiday clothes and do some washing but I have had a message from my sister to say she is coming to see me so I will stop work mid afternoon.
DH and I always stayed home on bank holidays, much less stressful just sitting in the garden or watching a film.

Good morning Mick and everyone from damp Carlisle. It's obviously been raining overnight and may or may not brighten up a bit. The positive side of it is that I will not have to go out and water my new plantings which were about to need it.
I spent part of yesterday puzzling over my latest electricity bill. Something has obviously gone wrong with their readings/estimations when they changed over their billing system and the bill has doubled. I'm going to have to tackle them....
I'm still feeling grotty and had a very bad night's sleep. Exactly what's going on, I'm not sure but it's affecting my ears and my tinnitus is a lot worse. It doesn't usually bother me.
However, I shall plod on with my usual Monday routine hoping for better things weatherwise later in the week. I'm another who avoids going out on Bank Holidays and definitely nowhere near the Lakes!
Whatever the weather, I hope you all enjoy the day.

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Enjoyed the sun yesterday and spent a long time in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road. I couldn’t get on to the beach through the extensive undergrowth as the rains had left the water too deep too negotiate even in my wellingtons. I spent the time in ‘my’ sand dune sketching and reading. I was too hot as I hadn’t realised how hot it would be…
After my evening meal, I took a ‘constitutional’ walk and think I may continue this, I need more exercise after the winter.
Not sure what is on the cards today, but for sure will give Bank Holiday town a miss…

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and wet. Like Marydoll, thunder is forecast. It certainly seems so, as it's very oppressive. Susan I take my hat off to you. A hard shift indeed. BlueSapphire the photos you have posted make me feel I was there too! Lovely.
Yesterday I should have been looking after dgs2 but dgs1's football time was changed and nobody told DD. So I had the three of them for a two hour visit instead. After they left, and I had tidied up, I visited mum who was quite chatty and responded to conversation. That was a pleasant change.
Today I had a long lie. I didn't wake until after eight. Unheard of! I had planned to go to the garden centre but the weather is putting me off. Fair weather gardener am I! So I might make the most of a boy free day by doing little. I shall see. Chicken and leek pie again for dinner. It turned out beautifully yesterday and there's enough for me today too. Have a good day all.

A late good morning from another lovely Suffolk day. I haven’t yet read your posts so hope all are enjoying some of this warm weather.
After the delights of the time spent with my friends last week yesterday was a quiet one for DH and I. The woods where we often walk the dog have become so green and the one footpath through is nearly impassable because of the tall cow parsley.
I don’t think we have any plans for today other than DS and family popping in on their way to visit friends. We have always stayed at home on Bank holidays especially good weather ones as the roads around here get very busy with traffic going to the coast. Hope today is a good one for all.

Good morning all from a damp and dreary Essex. Yesterday was so sunny and hot at times.
Dgd1 and I took the dog for a lovely walk up to Rayleigh Mount. The wild flowers were at their best and prolific. Such a lovely time of year with everything looking fresh.
It was great to spend time with her and we chatted non stop about everything. She went back to her dad’s last evening as it’s his birthday today and she has lots of treats planned for him.
A quiet day today 🤞as it’s been rather hectic since we came back from Suffolk. I’ll start my new book club book ‘French Braid’ by Ann Tyler.
Our friend brought in some healthy looking tomato plants that he’d promised us. Dh will plant them out today.

Today DD and the GC will come for lunch, other than that nothing planned.

Yesterday passed peacefully. Enjoyed our lunch and a visit to a larger garden centre.
We’re very similar to your husband grandmattie. Try not to venture out on a bank holiday, the roads here are always overly busy. Suspect a day of doing little as I’m oh so tired, last week catching up I think.

Washing and sorting out day today, a quiet week until DH’s cataract operation later in the week.

Good morning from a grey, overcast Sefton. It's mild, with a slight breeze, maybe showers later. A very productive day yesterday - bedding changed, washed & line dried. Homes found for a dozen or so new plants, more relocated & remaining pots sorted. Garden looking a lot tidier. Spent some time sorting out lighter weight clothing....that's usually a signal for the temperature to drop! No plans for today.Will avoid our local beaches & beauty spots. They will be busy despite the gloomy weather.

Bank Holidays are an annoyance here as our usual activities are curtailed. We'll go on a walk, pick up a few bits and see what's going on.

Good morning.from the good ship Adventure, 8.15am here, about to round the western tip of Portugal, on our way home now, three sea days to go. The sun has just peeped through an overcast sky.
A lovely day in Malaga yesterday, which gave us a taste of this beautiful city; it wasn't at all what I expected. If I am there again I shall venture into the city on my own to explore, but as it was my first time I went on the included tour which I thought was excellent, p!enty of photo stops and a guide who didn't rush us. Photos of Malaga to follow.
The afternoon was spent on deck reading.
Drinks and dinner with new friends again, then an excellent show in the theatre, with a Jersey Boys tribute group.
Time to make a move, go to breakfast and make the most of this lovely day.
