AIBU to wish toilet cubicles were a decent size.
Good Morning Tuesday 28th July 2926
Seems a bit harsh? All that way too. He landed in the UK a few hours ago. Without Meghan and the children.
From the Telegraph just now:
“ The Duke of Sussex will not meet the King this week, the Telegraph can reveal.
Prince Harry, 39, landed in London on Tuesday morning and had made no secret of his hopes to see his father during his visit.
But a spokesperson for the Duke said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
I just think if the King doesn't ’find time’ to see his son then Harry might well just think ‘sod it’ next time/if he comes over.
I know Harry bad mouthed the family in his book ‘Spare’ but still …
What do you think?

Clothes, Glorianny?
Do you have an opinion on this dress? I think it was nearly £3k. (Can't remember the designer).
Tropicana Nights Dress $2.850
Johannesburg Ortiz - I think the style suits her body shape and is one of the nicer outfits I've seen her in.
Haven't seen photos of her standing up though.

Just noticed, I'm also only on page 5 by the way.
I'm "estranged " from one of my children who prefers to believe the lies of their narcissistic partner despite knowing they are lies! I am now at thr point where if they did want to meet I probably would decline. The hurt they have caused me and the family is unforgivable and I'm not sure that seeing them would not open ip wounds that have taken years to heal. I am not in the public eye so cannot imagine how horrible all this speculation is when I know from experience the hurt this causes. Harry chose to turn his back on his family, his heritage and his duties. But now expects the privileges and forgiveness when it suits him. Sorry I'm with Charles and William on this and would keep my distance. As others have pointed out it may just be another Oprah story opportunity for H&M, who knows?
From recent replies there seems to be a trend towards lack of ostentation in apparel and self presentation generally. I certainly go along with that!
Who cares?
I like the dress. It's silk. It's her money but of course it may have been given to her.

Glorianny
There have been comments about how much happier Harry looked when he was in London.
Maybe because he was flying solo, and was more ‘himself’, without constant hand holding and back rubbing helping him on his way.
He looks pretty happy here. And haven't his clothes got more relaxed?Well, at least he’s got a replacement necklace.
Speaking as someone with ugly feet myself, I must defend Meghan’s actually.
Hers look ok to me, wish mine were as good.
No-one can help their feet, I'm always envious of people with lovely strong feet.
Aveline
Very ugly feet. I'd be inclined to cover them up a bit more. 😺
I'd do anything for feet like Meghan's! Don't care if she's got a long toe or whatever they look fully functional.
I think it very shocking that King Charles chose to host a garden party at Buck House the same day as the church service in honour of our military personnel who gave limbs to protect Britain.
It cannot be because of the cancer, because services at church have to be arranged up to a year beforehand. Who is responsible for the rift in the family? Have we as a nation forgotten that the Queen Consort has another family, and no step mother would put step children before her own flesh and blood. It isn't a case of blame or judgement, but one of experience. The Queen Consort - that is what she is and that is what she should be called now, because she will not be queen - not be an anybody - when King Charles dies. No one lives forever. He has shown weakness
It makes you wonder who is in charge? I like Prince Harry. I think he did the right thing. King George V1 had only two children, and Princess Margaret Rose spent her life as a stand in for Queen Elizabeth, and companion to the Queen mother. We saw a beautiful woman unable to live her life as she wanted to. She could not even marry the man she loved.
King Charles has two sons, and Harry saw the writing on the wall. It wasn't his fault there were only two. If William and Harry had had other siblings, would they share the burden of 'standing in'?
He is the head of the Church of England. Having sworn the Oath of Allegiance to the Christian Church of England, doesn't mean he has to be perfect.
Wars between brothers goes back to Adam and Eve's sons, so it isn't something new. Nor is it uncommon. Jesus spoke to the people in parables bringing in common instances the people would be familiar with. When he told the story of the prodigal son, he was describing something common and giving an example of love and forgiveness.
The younger brother asked his father if he could take his share of his inheritance and try his luck further afield. It didn't work out, spent the money and reduced to looking after pigs and eating their food, when he said to himself: ''Why am I here? I would be better off as a servant in my father's house'', so he went home. His father saw him coming and was overjoyed. He ordered his servants to wash him and dress him in good clothes, and ordered the fatted calf be killed in celebration. The older son was furious. He said: 'I work for you day in and day out, you have the fatted calf killed for my brother, yet you have not so much given me a sheep to celebrate with my family and friends.''
His father said: 'Everything I have is yours. Why are you so angry? My son was dead, and is alive; was lost, and is found'
If the head of the Christian Church in this country cannot 'go and do likewise' there is something seriously wrong with who we look to for example.
You certainly do not do facts.
What an extraordinary muddled post, llizzie.
Queen Camilla is a stepmother and doesn't count for anything, King Charles should have changed the date of the garden party, not Harry's fault he only has one sibling, poor Princess Margaret, then Cain and Abel and the Good Samaritan dragged in to finish the sermon on Christian charity.
Your point is....?
llizzie and you experience of family estrangement is what?
Your post shows no understanding of the human individuals involved or of how difficult family relationships can be.
As I hv pointed out before, the prodigal son was repentant. We have yet to see the person who purports to b the prodical son in this set-up show any repentance at all.
I agree. What a daft post.
H was offered a royal residence for his visit, H turned it down to stay in a hotel room
because she will not be queen-not be an anybody-when King Charles dies
Well, assuming Camilla outlives Charles, she will still be Queen Camilla, or the Dowager Queen, I would imagine. She will definitely still be ‘somebody’.
Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth were still all called that when they were widowed.
The latter probably assumed the title of Queen Mother to distinguish from her daughter, also Elizabeth. As she was only 51 when her husband died, the ‘dowager Queen’ title would have sounded rather ageing.
Haven't they gone "home" yet?
Although in a speech to girls yesterday, Meghan said how she has come home in Nigeria, HER country!??
I think it very shocking that King Charles chose to host a garden party at Buck House the same day as the church service in honour of our military personnel who gave limbs to protect Britain.
Don't you think a lot of the guests at the garden party gave what they could to support Britain in their own way? We can't all be in the forces, though they do a marvellous job.
Exactly. And who knows which event was arranged first?

H was offered a royal residence for his visit, H turned it down to stay in a hotel room
..... otherwise H can't play the hard-done-by victim.

I assume that is a tongue-in-cheek remark, otherwise it shows a complete lack of understanding of both the Invictus Games and the purpose of the Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace.
Please tell me you were joking, 1lizzie2
Some facts for 1lizzie2

The Royal British Legion is supporting the Invictus Games which is an international event.
It is not a Royal event. Prince Harry, as an ex-servicemen, was inspired to create the Invictus Games after visiting the Warrior Games in America 2013.
www.royal.uk/garden-parties
Over the course of each year, over 30,000 guests are invited to spend a relaxed summer afternoon in the beautiful gardens of Buckingham Palace or the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Garden Parties are an important way for members of the Royal Family to speak to a broad range of people from all walks of life, all of whom have made a positive impact in their community.
Can't be bothered to correct the rest.
llizzie2 Your post makes perfect sense.
I remember Margaret Rose, the sister who chose to stay royal and not follow her heart, and the heartache it brought her. She wasn't perfect but she was also very much put upon. It might have been far better for her to get out like Harry has.
As for Camilla. She has been successfully morphed by a brilliant PR team from the other woman-third in a marriage, into a sort of saint. I suspect she exercises a huge amount of influence over Charles. I've wondered about what sort of a woman would continue to be a confident to man who has just married, would move in with him and maintain the relationship even though his children needed him and one especially disliked her. It shows two adults who were intent on putting themselves first, which is probably still the case.

We are talking about Harry and Meghan here, obviously.
a short clip from The Telegraph of Meghan talking in to Nigerians.
