I think its Meghan's fault.
I haven't worked out how, yet, but I will.

Re read OP. It appears he is here for a whole week. Not just a day. Come on, anyone can find time to try to sort out this family schism if they want to.
I don’t actually care that much but can’t accept a father can’t find an hour to see his son who has travelled so far.

Indeed Casdon.
It’s just that the reality is that Harry is here. Only a few miles from his father. Even on chemotherapy KC will rest, eat, chat to folk. What’s half an hour? It can be an informal relaxed visit between father and son.
Mind you Harry was quite spiteful about Camilla and maybe KC can’t forgive him?

I think if any parent wanted to see their estranged child who lived thousands of miles away, however busy they might be, they woukd find an hour to see their son or daughter.
Even a busiest king coukd do that if he wanted too.
Charles hasn’t been seen for months. When my dd had 4 surgeries and 14 intensive chemo cycles she continued going to work in between cycles, despite feeling wretched for half the time, no one suggested otherwise.

As we don’t know whether they are in direct contact, or whether Harry contacted his father well in advance when he knew he was coming to London, it’s all speculation isn’t it?

The king has only just started back "to work" after his cancer diagnosis. It's possible that he really is unable to meet with Harry as I think he is still undergoing treatment and may find the return to commitments tiring and any time off needed for resting.

King Charles won't boot him out and cancel his ridiculous titles, but I bet that in time, William will.

Who knows what’s really happening, the King could have a day or two in hospital scheduled for his cancer treatment.
The report in The Telegraph says ‘it’s not possible’ not ‘the King will not meet Harry’.

Sadly, I think Harry's been thinking 'sod it' as far as his family's concerned for sometime Urmstongran. It's not just his book, there's the Oprah interview too, and it must be hard to meet up with your son when you don't know if what's said between you is going to be repeated to the rest of the world.

I should think it will be a long time before Charles or the majority of the royal family will feel they can ever trust him again.

Seems a bit harsh? All that way too. He landed in the UK a few hours ago. Without Meghan and the children.

From the Telegraph just now:

“ The Duke of Sussex will not meet the King this week, the Telegraph can reveal.

Prince Harry, 39, landed in London on Tuesday morning and had made no secret of his hopes to see his father during his visit.

But a spokesperson for the Duke said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

I just think if the King doesn't ’find time’ to see his son then Harry might well just think ‘sod it’ next time/if he comes over.

I know Harry bad mouthed the family in his book ‘Spare’ but still …

What do you think?
