Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 11°C.

Bella, what dreadful news. Those poor children and your DD and DGD must be traumatised.

My new treatment is being delivered today and can only be signed for by either myself or DH, so I am stuck in.
However, I read the common side effects and they are not pleasant at all. Last summer was written off because the previous biologics made me so unwell. I am praying for a miracle this time. My life is so much governed by pain levels.
I am hoping that the curier will also collect the £1000 of unsuitable injections and sharps box which I have been trying to dispose of since Christmas.
Everything must be done by an App, but apparently I don't exist, the facial recognition doesn't recognise me and if I try to reinstall, I am told I already have an account.🤷‍♂️

It lovely to hear of you all enjoying holidays and events.
Have a good day, folks.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. A quiet day just need to get some cash and small amount of shopping.
Best wishes all round

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire, where the sun is trying its best to break through. We may get rain later. The plants I put out on Monday seem to be doing okay and the warm weather seems to have kick started a lot of last year’s perennials, but I’ve lost all my lovely delphiniums this year. It’s just been too wet for them.
Writer’s group at the library today.
Have the best day you can folks.

Gingster Wed 08-May-24 07:37:49

Good morning all and it’s a bit overcast.
What a day I had yesterday! 6 and a half hours on a coach with 3 hours visiting Knole country estate.
Never seen traffic like it - just a crawl there and back. Both train lines were on strike and the QE2 bridge closed due to ‘an incident ’.
Thanks RosiesMaw for the info on the wedding dress etc.
Amazing!
Thank goodness it was a beautiful day weatherwise , so we did a whistle-stop tour of gardens, grounds and the house. A beautiful place to visit.

Today I have my lovely girl coming with her new baby.

Take care all 🌸

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry but slightly overcast.

How dreadful Bellasnana, those poor children.

Hope you feel much better today Grammaretto.

I’ve slept badly and woken in pain so I will have a quiet morning. I should get on with crocheting squares for a banner our yarn group is making for the upcoming gala day. I’m using black yarn which is a pain to work with though, the white ones were much easier.

Tonight I am going out for dinner with a couple of neighbours who have become friends. They each have ongoing, very different, troubles with family and could do with a bit of diversion.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning all I’ve been awake since the dawn chorus
.The weather today is nice and bright and expected to be warm and sunny here on the east coast of Fife.

I’ll be getting my grass cut once again by my neighbours daughter she’s so good in helping me with chores around the house..

I’ve a phone call to make at 2 pm with a friend whos going to drive me to the Fife show on Saturday 18th where I’ll be canvassing with my favourite party 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿it’s going to be fun

Have a good day my friends try to be happy for me

Good morning all, no sun here yet but it is meant to reach 18° this afternoon.

I am off to the gym first thing, then if I have any energy left will tackle the ironing (I am beginning to wonder if my obsession with ironing bedding will ever fade 🤷‍♀️) DH is out this evening, I fancy some steamed fish and salad, dinner sorted.

Pantglas2 I am envious, enjoy. Ashcombe I hope embarkation goes smooth, and you are settled to enjoy your cruise. grandMattie are there any other Tai Chi groups near you, they might be friendlier?

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a dry but overcast Colchester. We are forecast sunshine and 19° later.
Wednesday morning coffee meetup as usual. We'll put the world to rights as usual.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning Mick and all from a dull damp northwest coast.
Saw consultant yesterday and he advised surgery for my hernia. I’m now on his list and await a date…It will mean no singing during recovery time, which I will find hard, but no excuse not to draw and paint more! I might have a few singing commitments to cancel too.

Off to lunchtime recital later and food shopping.
You have done well GrandMattie, lucky with the notorious Bay of Biscay BlueSapphire, your cruise sounds lovely, get well soon Grammaretto and thoughts to all with worries 🌺

Good morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Up early as our cleaners come at 8.45 then i will have a walk to the village. I am sending DH to the pharmacist to see what they recommend for his cough and we might go to a new farm shop.

NanKate Wed 08-May-24 07:10:38

Good morning Mick and All from a foggy South Bucks.

It’s a paperwork day, I never seem to catch up, but will make sure I take my daily 20 minutes walk in the lovely sunshine.

What terrible news of the shooting Bellasnana I’m glad we are not generally allowed guns in the U.K.

No doubt see you on court in Rome for the tennis 🎾🎾

karmalady Wed 08-May-24 07:04:45

Good morning from misty s somerset.

It was a lovely day yesterday and I have finished my veg seed sewing and I bought baby lettuces locally and have planted ten, they look strong this morning. Followed by several hours lying back on my lafuma, reading and listening to the water tinkling. Simple bliss

I think more of the same later, got to grab the chance with both hands

Have a good day

Grandmabatty Wed 08-May-24 07:03:17

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9° and very cloudy. It would be nice if it burned off but I fear not. Susan enjoy your catch up with friends. Grammaretto rest and fluids is the way to go! Take care. GrandMattie enjoy your quiz night.
Yesterday dgs2 and I had a good day. He was a sunny tempered wee boy most of the time. He took himself off to the toilet to perform too, quite independently. That was a relief as he's had some problems after his operation. We went for a walk as a couple of neighbours are having work done and a mini digger is on site. That's always a source of excitement.
After I picked up dgs1, he had to speak to the neighbours too. They are very kind and put up with him zooming about.
I had a better sleep last night but still woke at six. Today is my lazy day. I'm not sure what I'll get up to. The local garden centre is chock-a-block with road works and it makes it difficult to get in or out, so I might avoid it. If it stays dry, I'll do a little gardening. Homemade pizza for dinner tonight. Have a good day all.

Bellasnana Wed 08-May-24 07:02:46

Good morning from Malta where it is gloomy, wet and 21°C.

One twin is still asleep so I have given his brother breakfast and am now waiting for him to wake up for the second sitting.

Had a long talk with DD2 yesterday. She had some dreadful news as the parents of one of DGD’s teammates on the softball team were shot dead by their neighbour. DD2 knew the mum and said she was lovely. Now four children are left orphans aged between 7 and 13. This happened in Wellington, Florida very close to where DD2 and family live. I don’t understand the American obsession with firearms.😞

We took the boys to speech therapy yesterday which was very interesting. Next time they will go one at a time as littlest one is very dominant and doesn’t let his brother get a look in.

Wishing everyone a good day.☀️

brook2704 Wed 08-May-24 06:59:19

Good morning everyone from Inverness, where its a bright and sunny start of the day
Hope you’re feeling much better soon grammaretto, take it easy for a few days
I’m going be out all day today, I’m doing some volunteering work over in Aberdeen. There’s a group of us going on the train this morning and back this evening, so looking forward to a different day today.
Enjoy meeting up with your friends Susan you deserve it!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever all the day brings 💐

Good morning from Shropshire.A sunny day forecast.

We are meeting friends for lunch today. We met when we were four years old.We don’t see each other very often but always have a good time when we do.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Grammaretto Wed 08-May-24 06:39:26

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. We are promised a dry and sunny day.
My flu is somewhat better after a lot of sleep. I cancelled most things and will again today. I managed a short walk to the duck pond.

I hope you enjoy your island cruise Ash
You are quite amazing gMattie with all you achieve.
Some exercise classes are not sociable I have found. People just scuttle away!
Have the best day you can everyone.

BlueSapphire Wed 08-May-24 06:25:29

Good morning everyone from a clear and bright morning just off the north-western coast of France. 7.20am here on Adventure.
It's the last full day of our cruise, so plenty to do, mainly finish the packing. May go to a presentation this morning on the history of Forensic Medicine - the speaker is very entertaining.

A relaxing day yesterday including a lovely manicure, so my nails will look presentable for a coup!e of weeks at home, followed by a good dinner with friends, and another wonderful performance by the Jersey Boys tribute band. The Bay of Biscay has been very kind, resembling a millpond, with only a slight swell.

Nearly time to get up for breakfast. Hope all have a good Wednesday.

RosesandLilac Wed 08-May-24 06:14:33

Good morning everyone from a bright hillside in south Glos, it’s looking like a lovely start to Wednesday here.
Yesterday I started sorting out all my pots, scraping the moss off, weeding them and topping the compost up. I have 40 little begonias to plant in them plus nemesias and verbena.
Lots of washing done so a big pile of ironing to do this morning after my dog walk, then I will sort out my summer wardrobe and put away my winter clothes.
That’ll keep me busy for the morning 😊
Hope you all have a lovely day 🌹

Pantglas2 Wed 08-May-24 06:01:54

Buen dia Mick from lovely 🇪🇸 - gosh hasn’t time flown since your op, I’d have sworn it was less than a year!

All of you off on your holidays made me quite envious so we trotted down to the beach 🏖️ for a few days, lazed around on sunbeds, sauntering alone the Paseo and scoffing for Spain 😋
When we’re at mi Casa, Mr PG ends up doing odd jobs and I’m forever cooking, cleaning and washing so a jolly to the coast soon sorts that out!

A local market beckons today so will pick up a friend and we’ll have a mooch and ☕️ before an afternoon on the terrace finishing my latest book 📕

Have a good day all who can 💐 x

grandMattie Wed 08-May-24 05:55:15

Good morning from Bristol. When I got up an hour ago, it was clear and dawning. I looked out just now and a thick mist has enveloped the houses!
The outdoor tai chi went ok, though I wish people were friendlier. I’ve been going for a year and still no one even acknowledges me…
The lady involved with Flamingo Chicks came to collect the tutus. She was beside herself, she has no sewing knowledge, nor it seems, imagination on how to do such things. I’m glad I was able to help.
Today, apart from morning prayers and my book group, I’m actually going out this evening! To a WI Federation quiz. I love quizzes and I’m looking forward to it.
I hope Ash has caught her boat. This is the perfect week to travel north to the islands.
May today bring contentment. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
I daylight bright and dry with fog at the moment here in brackley this morning.
My usual Bicester on the bus to do some shopping and to socialise with those I know .
With the afternoon with the Giro on TV , I have been looking into health situ as its just under 12 months since surgery ,and it seems having more fibre related food ,and not so much alcoholic drink will help things .
Take Care ,
Mick
