Sun! Heat! Can it possibly last?

For the last couple of days I’ve been sitting in the garden to read or knit - and have had to strip off a layer or two! Positively baking in the sun.

However I’m afraid to say that SiL and Gds 7 have been tempting Fate by digging out their mini swimming pool, erecting and filling it on Monday.

So I’ll know who to blame if it turns 🥶 again…

I have just washed all the winter jackets, scarves and my wraps along with handwashing my cashmere sweaters, it will probably be freezing tomorrow.

My garden furniture has been out for a couple of weeks , but I have to put the cushions out !
I’m waiting till this lovely Pell is over , so I can’t be blamed ,

Sitting indoors with doors and windows closed sad, hay fever's horrendous this year.

Last day on Sunday down south according to AccuWeather, planting up hanging baskets and other containers today, woolies all washed yesterday.

Hasn’t rained for well over a week here. Sunny afternoons but only about 18C, typical Autumn for us.

Winter woolies washed yesterday, I will be packing them away (there's always a cardi if it turns chilly again).

I've washed everything that needed it. It won't last,so enjoy while you can. After all we do live in the Northern Hemisphere.

Apparently it will be raining again here in Norfolk all next week - when the decorator is due to come to do some work outside. So it’s all our fault.

We are keeping a close eye on the weather in Norfolk as we fancy a couple of nights at one of our favourite hotels (not far from you I think)

Morston Hall I think. The owner is a neighbour - and he’s selling it!

Absolutely beautiful here in NW Surrey, not to hot and a soft, warm breeze every now and again. We're making the most of it, weather charts show lower temps and rain returning next week but still a bit of sunshine.

Blimey is he?

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 09-May-24 14:34:27

Yes. For an undisclosed sum. He’s willing to stay on as a consultant if the buyer wishes. I hope it won’t change, but I expect it’s inevitable, and will the Michelin stars disappear?

It has been a lovely week here in Oxfordshire. It reached 29C in the shade on my patio yesterday. I have had to limit my gardening time to the first part of the mornings as it has been too hot. There is no pleasing me! Rain forecast for all of next week unfortunately.

Lovely here the last couple of days in Essex, long may it last please. 🌝🌝

It’s gorgeous in mid Wales too. However I’ve spent the day jetwashing, so I’m worn out. Tomorrow the sunbed beckons, the paving all looks good so I deserve it, just hope my arms don’t ache so much that I can’t lift my book.
