It is Mother’s Day in most of Europe as well, including here in Malta. 🇲🇹

My son in law is currently in America on business and sent a photo of an advertisement in his hotel room with a happy American Mother’s Day text to myself and his mother in a group text today 😂. So happy Mother’s Day to all the American and Australian mothers it seems !

I have 2 Mothering Sundays as well, as middle son lives in Australia. Had these delivered yesterday, excuse the flower arranging!

No, UK Father's Day is in June - the 16th this year.

They don’t make so much of Father’s Day - first Sunday in September here. Is that the same in the UK ? One of my granddaughters works in a greengrocers at the weekend. She said the flowers were flying out the door today, very busy.

Happy Mothers' Day to all for whom it applies.

The advantage of having Mothers' Day on Mothering Sunday in the UK is that it makes the old joke relevant -
"When is Mother's Day?"
"Nine months after Father's Day"

DD in Australia usually sends me flowers on UK Mothering Sunday, but she forgot the date this year until too late. Full of apologies, I said it really doesn’t matter, it’s just another day, but a couple of days ago some lovely Sweet Williams came via M&S.

I look at them and smile at her thoughtfulness. Don’t know when we last spent the day together.

Hope her own family make it a nice day for her.

I get two mother's days a year, as my son lives in Canada and always sends flowers, and the others live in the UK, and I always get something then too .

Happy Australian Mother's Day, hope you all have a lovely day.

I've had phone calls and good wishes, although it's not Mother's Day/Mothering Sunday here in the UK, and been told to relax.
So I will.

It’s Mother’s Day here in Australia and in a few other countries. We have had a lovely day with family, 8 mothers present of all ages, young and not so young. A pretty rare occasion because some live quite a way away and don’t often make it to this area. For once, I don’t think it was over commercialised, unlike Christmas and Easter. Sadly some of the family never come to any of the get togethers - anyone else find this? Mainly one particular partner who doesn’t like to ‘mix’.
