Good morning from a very grey Wiltshire.

Got a lot done in the garden this past week, making the most of the fine weather. Seemed surreal getting the hose out to water the plants after so much rain.

We went for a BBQ at DD2 and family on Saturday. DGS2 seemed tired. By 10pm he had a raging temperature and a rash so he was taken to an out of hours doctor who diagnosed scarlet fever and he now has antibiotics. I remember very well having it aged 5 and how sore my throat was.

My sister has had a very bad case of shingles lasting a month despite getting anti virals within 2 days of her symptoms starting. It was all over one leg starting from the groin. Rash is fading but the nerve pain isn’t.

So sorry you missed the aurora on Friday night GM. It was visible from our town but we missed them. Photo was sent by my stepson from Luxembourg where they had a magnificent display.

Belated birthday greeting to Harrigran and anyone else who has had a recent birthday. I really hope your greenhouse gets sorted asap RosesandLilac and you get some recompense. Totally unacceptable.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire. We were forecast thunder during the late evening but if it happenened, I didn’t hear it. It did rain though and I was glad I had cut my front lawn. It was full of dog violets; very pretty but you can’t mow round them! Today I will go to the garden centre, which is never very busy on a Monday, have a good mooch round, hopefully come away with the heucheras I’ve been looking for, and who knows what else.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. There's a thick mist .
We had a deluge yesterday afternoon. Luckily I had my raincoat and umbrella but a young man at the bus stop was wringing out his t shirt. 🌧

I had a busy day. The chap came for my gumtree goods. He told me the Dansette record player should be binned but bought the microfiche reader!
I had coffee with a friend and then showed a family over my house as they had showed an interest in buying it. It took hours.

There was a delightful concert in the afternoon at the art centre and then I went to view a house in another town.
I took a friend who has bought plenty of houses. She said she couldn't imagine me in it!
There was hardly time to eat before the evening film. I felt a bit odd and then took a "funny turn" I almost fainted so left after 20 minutes. The heat? Lack of food? The virus going round?
I'm supposed to be on a NT outing today.

I am glad that the church services went so well Marydoll you must have been very proud.

Hoping everyone has the best day possible.

Our new cleaning lady is starting today but OH will be here.
Have a good day.

Good morning from Shropshire.A cooler day today with rain forecast later.

Yesterday was another scorcher with a spectacular storm early evening.DH has worked hard in the garden and it is looking lovely.

Today we are going over to Cheshire to see mum.Lunch out then she has an opticians appointment. On the way home we will go to Cheshire Oaks.A long day but Cheshire Oaks is only a small diversion on the way home and there are a few things we need.

Hope the boys are good for you today Grandmabatty.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning all.
Once again I believe the sun might be coming out on the east coast of Fife, if so I’ll be back sitting in my conservatory for breakfast and lunch.
It’s quite dry out there according to my ring doorbell

It’s so enjoyable looking out into my well maintained garden

Mind you I’ve bought dog friendly pellets to dissolve in water to water the dog pee grass but then she’s only a small pooch who loves running around the garden doing no harm except burning up the grass.

Have a good day my friends or as good as it can be

Good morning from a dull -at the moment - South Downs. Forecast is for sunny spells and no rain until this evening.

Bit of housework today and DH for eye test this pm - he can’t drive after so I’m doing the driving.

It has been a glorious few days which have been so appreciated after the long wet tedious spring.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony.

Just looked at the forecast. Max 18C, heard on the radio that some places are expecting at least 23C!

Good morning from a grey Bristol. Where has the summer gone?
I’m glad that all went swimmingly for the First Communion after all the previous shenanigans, Marydoll, and that the two girls were suitably admired.
After the usual service yesterday, we had a PCC AGM, where I was voted on. The secretary’s job had been offered, which I firmly refused. To my surprise m the meeting took barely 40 minutes; I’ve been more used to people droning on for hours!
As I was tired from the previous night’s abortive Aurora viewing, so did little.
Today, I’m helping with the toddlers again. Last time we had over 30 adults with assorted offspring. The noise is something else.
In the afternoon, there is the monthly OAP film. I’m always astonished at how little others mix. They have their peer groups, and never mix at all. Their spaces/seats, their friends, period.
May the week be productive but kind to you all.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from cloudy s somerset, there will be a deluge for the whole day in a few hours

The windows all over the house are open, I am giving the house a good blow-through in an attempt to reduce the temperature. I had a listless sleep, room was too hot

Out soon, just local this morning but am taking the car as there will be space in the free carpark and I don`t want to get soaked

Playing it by ear today, whatever will be will be

Have a good day

Good morning Mick and others from Polmont where it's currently 11° and very cloudy. Stormy looking skies but no rain yet.
Yesterday was busy. Another trip to the garden centre and I think I'm done. Home to plant up my remaining pots, then I visited a chum to take her birthday present and we blethered for a while. Then I visited mum who was decidedly not chatty.
Today is the start of four days of childcare as the other grandparents are going on holiday. After nursery drop off we'll be in the garden playing with water and sand I expect. Have a good day all.
