My DD was one of the disappointed pupils, (and furious at my mistake!), so the trip was swiftly re-booked for the following month! Otherwise I wouldn't have put it past her not to spill the beans!

About 30 years ago I had a class of excited children set to visit Hedgehog Hospital for the day. At around 10 pm the evening before I suddenly realised that I had forgotten to book the trip. This was in the day before emails could be sent out. So the next morning I had to say, to parents and pupils, with a very convincing face, that the hedgehogs had all become sick overnight and that we couldn't go. A bit of quick thinking and I came up with a trip to the local Donkey Sanctuary.
Well, hedgehogs or 🫏 🫏 there's not really much difference is there?

I will forgive as school trips are really about the journey there and back, not wearing uniform and the spending money for the gift shop.

I'm so glad we allowed the buyer's surveyor full access to every area of our house, including the loft, roof, and allowed him to try out the central heating on a hot day in mid-summer.
All was absolutely fine. She bought our property.

About 10 months after she moved in we got a letter from her solicitor telling us she was suing us and claiming damages for a leak from the attic. We referred them back to the surveyor and his report and never heard anything more.

Our old next-door neighbour told us she was a very difficult woman and how much they missed us.

You aren’t guilty but the Surveyor was.

MzOops has recently sold her house and has had a bad experience with the Surveyor who has inspected the property she is (still) trying to buy. Long story short she received a written apology from the Company and her fee was refunded along with compensation.

Oh dear. Condemned I’m afraid, as is the surveyor (and perhaps the wiring should have been!).

Come on…..I’ve fessed up someone else’s turn now.

If I had been the buyer I wouldn't have been happy to find something nasty in the attic if I had paid for a survey.
Not your fault it was wrong of the surveyor not to check.

I could forgive you but not the surveyor- he should have insisted on going into the loft and giving an accurate report to the buyers, instead of charging for a service he didn't provide.

After receiving a supposedly accurate survey on my home I realised shortly after moving in he had a serious eye-sight problem!
