Good morning from a very misty Anstruther.
Sorry to hear about your summer house debacle R&L. What a disappointment.
Bella, I hope your day is not too exhausting and GMB, you must be exhausted!!
We had a lovely day yesterday, after the sea haar lifted.
The walk along the coastal path was glorious. I spent some time talking about outdoor learning to a teacher, whose class were on the beach. The children were having a ball.
We had to prevent DH from stopping to watch every golfer teeing off. He didn't realise how intimidating he was, standing arms crossed and staring intently at the golfers. One group of Americans asked us for a round of applause after a spectacular shot! 😁
We caused much amusement in the chandler's with our arguing deciding what colour of glass floats we were buying. The shop is an Aladdin's cave of goods and as usual we came out with more than we intended to buy.
Unfortunately, we hadn't factured in how we were going to get them back, as we had no car! The men had to stop for a beer on the way back for a rest!
Later we realised that my poor SIL had been badly sunburned and I had a painful patch, I had missed when applying sun protection.
Today DH and I are hopping more like struggling on the bus to Eilie. There is a boutique there, run by the retired GP's wife, which I love. I have been saving up all year to treat myself to something I certainly don't need.
I do not want to subject DD and SIL to standing bored outside, while I dither over my purchase s. 😉
The rest of the day will be a gentle one, finishing off with a fish tea in an award winning restaurant.
I hope you all have a pleasant day. Special best wishes to one of my Gransnet friends, who is feeling very poorly with Covid.
