Intimate itching

Has she seen a gynaecologist? Has the GP examined her?

Is she allergic to the soap she is using? I had this problem until I started using intimate wash instead of soap.

‘An infection’, not ‘N infection’.

It does sound like thrush, in my experience most GPs will prescribe an anti-fungal like Canestan without an examination ( if that would be an obstacle to your mum getting treated.) Scratching till she draws blood sounds as if she could end up with N infection. Has the GP never heard of thrush?

Ask her GP cos they need to rule out other things & possibly prescribe something else, there are pessaries instead of creams, maybe they would suit her better

Sounds like Thrush? you can buy her the cream or a treatment just ask the Pharmacist. If it doesn't improve, re check with the GP can be caused by Antibiotics.

No need to suffer what sounds like thrush, the restriction is that an older person should really be seen by a doctor, but that's not very likely as things are, currently .

Moisturising well will help - with a non-perfumed cream like Diprobase. I use it regularly

Mum had this prescribed by her GP and she said it was a life saver.
