Do you like the new portrait of the princess of Wales?

It’s awful isn’t it? Difficult to find anything positive at all to say about it. I do wonder what Catherine herself thinks of it, and the rest of her family come to that!

To me he’s made her look Oriental.

TBH, it looks more like Meghan than Catherine.

I read one newspaper comment that the picture captures her spirit! Don’t people say that sort of thing when there’s no resemblance whatsoever?

It’s so indescribably bad that I actually feel sorry for the artist. I haven’t read one positive comment about it yet!

The Princess looks Korean to me. Nothing wrong in looking Korean if you are, obviously, but Catherine isn't.

Ha ha ha! Apparently, the artist painted it not only from a video, but dressed in couture!

So Tatler couldn't afford a proper artist? I find that hard to believe, but definitely this is appalling. A Painting-By-Numbers job would have been better......maybe William could discreetly buy the original and quietly shred it? I think Princess Kate doesn't need to deal with a shock like this, just at the moment.

Looks like a wooden doll. Would never guess it was supposed to be the Princess of Wales. I enjoy portrait painting as an amateur having painted family and friends for years. Even I could make a better portrait and I am no Rembrandt !!!!

I am still undecided about the very RED portrait of the king. However it does show his character and spirit. This looks to me like the kind of thing I would expect to see on the cover of a Mills and Boon or Barbara Cartland novel about a generic "princess". Just a figurine with a sash and tiara. It says nothing about the personality of the individual.

The current Editor in Chief of Tatler magazine attended St. Andrews University, as did the Princess of Wales. He studied History of Art, as did the Princess of Wales. He was pretty much a contemporary of Catherine's too.

I don't know who this Ms Uzor is, but my advice to her would be "Don't give up the day job".

I hope the Princess of Wales enjoyed a good laugh when she saw this truly dreadful portrait, it has the look of a bland toy doll.

Oh dear, it’s nothing like the Princess. I hope they (Tatler), haven’t paid good money for it. If it was a year 6 child who had done it, I’d have said it was a good attempt, but a year 6 child hasn’t, so I have to say once more “Oh dear”. (I’m being polite 😂).

It's weird. She looks almost child-like. Her chin is much too heavy. She has great bone structure which isn't shown and lovely eyes. I notice the artist hasn't painted the end of the decoration she wears. Maybe she just can't paint.

It’s a very poor piece of art. I feel for Catherine, still in treatment and out of the public eye, now seeing this portrait. She’s such a striking , attractive young woman who deserves a much better likeness

It's nothing like the Princess of Wales it's an insult.
