Good morning everybody from south Manchester where once again it’s chilly and wet out but not currently raining. Brr! We plan to walk over to the MacMillan centre to join in the group who meet weekly for tea and biscuits. We haven’t been for a while. Home mid afternoon.

Trafford schools break up today for end of term hols. We used to call it Whit week didn’t we? New cotton summer dresses and white sandals and socks for my little sister in me back in the day.

I have woken up with the Lucgy, sore throat, chesty and blinding headache. I think a snotty little DGD may have passed on her germs! 😍
Babydoll was an absolute delight, but exhausting. Everytime I said NO, NO, NO!, she responded with Yes!. We hadn't realised that she could climb stairs so quickly. Thank goodness we kept Dollie's stairgate. 😁
She loved exploring upstairs for the first time and hal a great time pulling out things in my craft room.
I need to tidy her the mess today!

I need to check with the Diocesen Offices about the audit I was doing. The deadline is today and I sent it last night. However, it has disappeared into the ether and I should have had an email link to confirm.

Got caught out yesterday, was expecting CCTV man during the afternoon but he turned up mid morning while I was lounging in my PJs 😳
Today I am going out for lunch with my friend, her DH drops us off at the restaurant and collects us later.

My son and daughter also have a wedding today Grandmabatty, best man and matron of honour, between us we are ferrying children and my son’s partner around, should be done by 7pm.

Apart from washing, ironing and deciding what to cook I've no other plans today. DS will catch up on sleep and DH is fishing.

Morning Mick, morning All from a very chilly, cloudy corner of Somerset

I froze yesterday, extra layers didn’t warm me so the heating went on for an hour. An upsetting and frustrating phone call regarding an MRI back in March resulted in the offer of onward referral. Something I’d asked for months ago.

Once the house insurance renewal is sorted this morning (horrible process that it is) a relaxed afternoon ahead with TaiChi followed by a cuppa in a favourite cafe.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It has almost stopped raining. I emptied 4 heavy buckets of water last night from below the remains of my ceiling.

A roofer is supposed to be coming today so I shall have to be home. I volunteer across the road but will have to explain my absence.

So I can blame you Ash . I thought the awful weather was because I had bought a picnic rug on impulse. 😂

I'm having both boys for a sleepover as dd and Dsil are going to a wedding on dsil's side of the family. Dgs2 is being dropped off early and then I'll take him to playgroup. I'll do a shop at Aldi then pick him up again. Later I'll get dgs1 from nursery. Chicken nuggets and chips for dinner for dgs2 and noodles for dgs1. In between, who knows what mayhem they'll get up to? Have a good day all.

Good morning from south Glos where it’s cloudy and somewhat cool.
It was a lovely service for my neighbour yesterday, the crematorium was full of friends and relatives.
A subdued afternoon, dog and I enjoyed our walk but little else happened.
Today I really need to clean out the fridge and tidy the utility room that’s become a dumping ground again (🤬 glares at DH), that’ll keep me busy for an hour or two.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning all from a cooler drizzly day here on the east coast of Fife

I was out yesterday to the east neuk of Fife a lovely place called Anstruther where 3 of us had the most delicious food I even had a lager Shandy which was delightful.fun was had by all.

I’m even going out today again to see the hill of Tarvit where there’s a national trust setting. My nephew from Australia is going to climb the hill but he’s going to be disappointed as the mist will impede his view when he gets to the top. Bu hey ho he will be satisfied once he gets to the top. It’s a must for him to do when he visits me.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cool cloudy South Yorkshire. Apart from a bit of misty drizzle early on, the day was pretty dry yesterday so walking group was not as muddy as I anticipated. The sun even came out at one point. I had lunch with a very relaxed DD and then called in at the garden centre on the way home to buy some trailing plants. It was my intention to cut the back lawn yesterday evening but it was far too windy. The wind has given my garden a real battering the last few days.
Today I have my last volunteer session before the school holidays.

Good morning from s somerset, cloud and cool all day today

A perfect day for a fast walk after breakfast and I will still need the factor 50. I will do that walk first, I have most energy in the morning.

I am in process of making a twill lime- coloured sleeveless waistcoat top with collar, zip, pockets and waist drawstring. I already have a black one but this one is more visible for cycling and will be warmer than summer lycra. I am enjoying making this

I was, unusually, on my knees yesterday, washing the kitchen floor in the working area and I glanced at the lower cream cupboards. Oh my goodness, they were visibly streaky from splashes and spills but I had never noticed. On the other hand, maybe we are designed to no longer have hawk-eyes, so thatwe don`t notice so much as we age

Good morning from another glorious sunny morning on the South Downs.

Yesterday we made a good start clearing and tidying the utility area and greenhouse. Hope to finish it today. All the pots in size order, all the garden feed etc on their appropriate shelves and all the compost in one area. Plus the bonus of less mice, who have been moved out one by one over the past few weeks - all joining each other in the same spot with some seed to see them on their way.

Found a couple of bags of gravel - so I will rake that into the gravel garden to top it up - a bonus I didn’t know we had.

My veggie box is delivered over night so I will go and empty that into the fridge etc. later.

The fledglings are squawking, what a demanding lot they are! I shall put out some mealy worms soon to give the parents a break.

I was late putting out the foxes evening meal last night and they were both sat patiently at the end of the garden. What lovely animals they are. Incredibly timid though. Even the seagulls can see them off.

I must stop as this page is getting dodgy and will disappear!
