How often do you wear perfume

Yesterday we went out for dinner (actually it was street food, eaten in a shelter on the seafront 😂) and to celebrate the occasion I spritzed on a bit of perfume. Similarly my husband used an expensive aftershave (usually he only bothers for weddings and funerals).

Anyway, it got me thinking. It takes me a couple of years to get through a bottle of perfume, I’ve got lots of it (mostly gifts from family and friends) and it’s all good stuff. So I have decided that (if I can remember) I’m going to wear perfume every day!!

Today I’m in my scruffy painting smock, but if this was smellyvision you would smelling Jo Malone’s Pear and Freesia. 😂

Aw Angel I love it as it reminds me of my Auntie Sadie, she always wore it.

Pacamac70 Sun 02-Jun-24 13:09:17

Everyday I don’t feel right with out a spray of something.

It’s a must for me everyday, I wear the same perfume my mother wore so it’s a constant reminder of her.

Do you think I could claim some sales commission?

I do like it. smile
It smells how I imagined it, but I've not put any on, yet.

Thank you!

Never, my husband doesn’t like it.

Oo, that'd make me wear it all the more!

Missiseff Sun 02-Jun-24 12:52:13

Every day. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, because life's too short not to

Sadly no more as perfumes in most formats and makes irritate my skin since having cancer.

Popped to see a friend babysitting her 3 year old grandson round the corner from me yesterday afternoon and when it was time for me to go he came to give me a hug.

He said “ ooh you smell good!” I’ll definitely keep wearing it if that’s the effect I have on young men 😂

Never...... My daughter and a close gal pal are allergic to whatever is in most perfumes.
Many offices especially medical/dental ones, are scent free here in Canada. smile

I love perfume. My favourites are Flowerbomb,Aromatics by Clinique and a gorgeous Lady Danger by Juliette has a gun which was a present.I don’t feel dressed until I spray myself in the morning.

Never - it makes me sneeze and my eyes water. I have to nearly run through the 'smelly' section in stores.
It doesn't mean I don't like the smell of perfume, just please not too much!

Gummie Sun 02-Jun-24 12:28:10

Every day. It's part of getting dressed for the day.

Babsbada Sun 02-Jun-24 12:27:27

Funniest one - on the launch of Poison my friend forgot all her school girl French spelling and asked me why on earth would anyone buy a perfume smelling of fish . I had to remind her of the second s !

GrammarGrandma Sun 02-Jun-24 12:22:35

Every day. Chanel no. 5 goes on right after deodorant before putting on bra.

I am clearly in a minority of one as I never wear it and I don't think anyone would consider buying it for me. That's probably not surprising though!

hello !
put it there, pal.

welbeck Sun 02-Jun-24 12:15:55

never.
does v occasional waft of lidl body-spray, kenya flavour, count?

Wren5 Sun 02-Jun-24 12:11:33

Everyday I wear perfume, I buy cheap bottles to wear around the house & expensive ones to wear out everyday. Would not feel me if I did not wear some :-)

Cid24 Sun 02-Jun-24 12:10:47

Everyday. My signature perfume is Amarige by Givenchy. Been wearing it since 1982!

Mamie792 Sun 02-Jun-24 12:09:39

Thought it would not actually be the case cos of all the hype, but I tried Noted Aromas - Lima which is identical to Jo Malone’s LimeBasil and Mandarin and lasts all day. I know it’s cheating (sorry)but a big bottle is about a third of the price and does lift the spirits. And they do five little samples of other copies! Just saying ……. Oh and I loved Laura Ashley’s Number 1 And another called L’Eau but they were discontinued along with a Chloe L’Eau - so disappointing when that happens but I guess that often our skins change and maybe they wouldn’t smell the same if I could buy again. Big sigh ! All time favourite is Clarins Eau des Jardins which for me is just summer in a bottle 💐

SheWho Sun 02-Jun-24 12:06:47

I was thinking along those lines - even bought myself a cheap bottle (not that I haven't got some in my drawer), as I have never worn it every day but I have been thinking "Why not? - it doesn't actually last for ever and why shouldn't I wear it for myself? I love perfume and some times my partner notices if I do. With so much going on, and with so much tiredness, I'm just having difficulty getting the habit of wearing some every day.

KSB23 Sun 02-Jun-24 12:05:16

Every day, whether I'm going out or not, it's part of getting dressed for me. I don't feel right otherwise.
