Good morning Mick and All from a wall to wall sunshine day here in South Bucks.

Will pack up a small picnic and take DH down to the Lock to eat it and watch the narrow boats go by.

Like Bellasnana I will be watching plenty of good tennis from Paris, that is if it stops raining there. At least they have 2 covered courts.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The weather is improving and I've developed a cold. A day in with hot lemon and honey and paracetamol it is then.
DH is fishing and DS is going out with his GF for the day so I'll have peace and nobody to feed.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from our holiday home in the Algarve. Today it is the beach, back for lunch and a pool afternoon. Tonight the local restaurant is doing a buffet roast dinner.
Wishing everyone a very happy Sunday☀️

Good morning from s somerset, wall to wall sunshine all day today

I did not get to sleep for a long time so have abandoned my plan for a long ride today, it would have been very strenuous and I did have a ride yesterday. I need to acknowledge my age to myself and stick to alternate days. I even cleaned and oiled two bikes ready for today and for summer

My `almost dead` fig with a tiny green bud will still be nurtured back to life but it will be a stick for a long time. I bought myself another fig, having seen that they do well and produce plenty of figs in a 14 litre pot. So I will not need to think of fastening support wires anywhere, phew to that. It will be in a 3 litre pot for now

Today will be purely a rest day but I will pick more gooseberries, which is quite a zen process anyway

Have a good day

Good morning from a sunny Co Durham.
Out for lunch today in a local pub/ restaurant with dd2 and her partner. They moved house on Thursday and are now only 15 minutes away from us. It’s more than 30 years since she moved away, but now wants to be nearer to us. DD1 and family live ten minutes away in the opposite direction. We are so lucky.
Hope the sun is shining on you all.

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

It’s been a busy week doing goodness knows what. Laundry to process this morning, hopefully dried, ironed and put away by this evening.

Good to see you back mizuna, nearly there.

Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. A warm and fine day is predicted.
OH, daughter and I are going out for Sunday lunch. Afterwards, if there’s time before daughter’s train, we will pop into our local NT property for a mooch around.
OH will check on his bees later in readiness for tomorrow when he intends to draw the honey off. He thinks there may be up to 60 jars!
Have a good day.

Good morning from Malta where it’s raining at the moment, but still going to reach 30°C later today.

I have a bit of ironing to do this morning, then Mass at 11.30 after which my friend in Leicester and I will have our weekly FaceTime chat.

Lots of tennis to watch later so I expect I won’t be moving far from my sofa.

Have a good day, I’m so glad the sunshine has arrived at last.☀️

Good morning all from a sunny North Leicestershire.

We are promised a warm day and dh intends to weed killer the patio while I make a lamb tagine. With luck we can eat outside. A quiet day with the papers hopefully.

Roses, there is a website called Masters of Malt that I have used. Delivery is good.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from sunny south Glos, again a beautiful start to the day although by the afternoon yesterday it was cloudy and decidedly cool.
I pottered around doing bits outside in the garden and I am really pleased with how the garden is looking. I hung up more bird feeders and I have ordered more bird food; there’s a feeding frenzy going on here!
Today I will do the ironing first thing then enjoy the sunshine 🌞
Are there any whisky connoisseurs on here? It’s DS’s birthday next week and I’d like buy him a bottle of good single malt, any suggestions? I can’t stand the smell of it so I have absolutely no clue!
Have a great day 🌹

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it’s on the cool side at the moment. Yesterday I had a good walk with the family followed by fish and chips, and GS cut my lawn before they went home. I am foraging for elderflowers this morning while the sun is on them and I’ll make cordial. There are masses of them this year so I shouldn’t have to take many from each bush. The rest of the day will be spent in the garden.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a sunny start in Crewe where I’m staying with DD1 and family.

It’s good to have you back here, Mizuna and I can understand you counting down to K day!

Yesterday, I enjoyed seeing old friends from my days of being involved in musical theatre in Rugeley. I went by train which worked well except for a last minute announcement that only the front half of the train would stop at my destination due to it having a short platform. Luckily, I just had time to move to the next coach!

DGD suffered a knee injury at her Dance School Dress Rehearsal yesterday afternoon but managed to perform in the evening. We are all going to watch the show tonight which will be a treat.

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning all it’s promising to be another hot day today here on the east coast of FiFe. I managed a little seat outside yesterday

Today I’m off to church to see the Kirking of the lad and lass from the local primary school. It’s an annual event where children vote for their peer favourites, the church holds a ceremony for the primary 7s it’s all great fun and excitement for everyone.

Happy days

Good morning from, no surprises, my patio in Cornwall. Been out here for a while. The air is cool and lovely, with another bright day ahead. My retreat is over, so useful and refreshing. Yesterday my granddaughter came for the day and talked my ears off. 😊 Today my son and grandson will be helping me at my allotment. My knee replacement op is three weeks and five days away. Counting the days, moi? 😂

Grandmabatty Sun 02-Jun-24 06:16:38

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and a bit cloudy. GrandMattie you've made a good reputation for yourself!
Yesterday I did a shop at Aldi, then met a friend for breakfast. We had a lovely morning, chatting away. After I took her home, I went to the community centre open day with DD, Dsil and the boys. It was busy and there were lots of things arranged. I only stayed an hour because it was very hot and my feet were sore. Dsil came round with me to lift two big bags of compost out of my car boot. Goodness knows how I thought I would manage them on my own! In the afternoon I potted up the carrots and the peas. I had a quiet night and went to bed early.
Today I have an all day art workshop in my tutor's garden in Stirling. It's always a lovely day if a bit tiring. There are masses of flowers to paint and her and her sister have two adorable whippets who come to visit the artists from time to time. We are fed copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day and the company is excellent. I'm looking forward to it. I will probably water the garden before I go. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick from a sunny Oxfordshire, it can’t be very warm as the heating has come on.

Dog day today so we should be able to have a nice walk.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a sunny Bristol. We are promised a lovely day. I’m glad for those finishing their half term.
My tea loaf went down very well at the church coffee and chat. I was much amused when I overheard someone asking who had made it. On hearing it was me, they said, “if it’s GM, it must be delicious”.
I have finished the planning and making block stage of my quilt, it now involves hours of hand sewing. I might well do a lot in the garden in the sun this afternoon.
Nothing else planned apart from church this morning.
Hope that all the news you get today matches the sunshine and warmth. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
