Good morning what are you all doing today

Early dig walk. Shopping, lunch, then visitors who came to watch the football.
Dinner. Visitors have now gone on their way celebrating, so I’m walking the dog.

Awake early, looking at the election results. Just dine Wordle and got it in two goes! Sainsburys delivery at 9 so maybe I ought to go back to sleep for a bit, if I can!

Snap DanniRae. Polling station was quiet, Tesco was heaving....

One of our dogs had to go for an echo today as she has liver problems, then the vet decided to remove a lipoma from her leg as it had grown quite large. We have been theatre assistants today and now we are the recovery team. No food for her today which she will hate.

Stripped the bed and
Hung the washing out, very early, then stripped the bed (under sheet and washable duvet)with the misguided idea that the bedclothes would be dry by tonight.
Hung that out, then walked our dog down to the polling station.
Then raced back up the hill to get the washing in because it started to rain!
Must remember, I can’t race any more, never mind race up hill!
Resting with a cup of tea before lunch and waiting for the person coming to check our new boiler.
Think I’ll do the Telegraph and NewYork times puzzles.

Allotment again this morning then relaxing with Wimbledon this afternoon .

Tidied up living room
Wrapped some birthday presents
Went for a blood test
Picked up baby GD
Played with her, fed her
Went to farm park with baby and DH
Had tea and cake in a cafe
Made Spag Bol, fed baby
Tidied up kitchen

Did changeover yesterday at our holiday let so today have hung out two lines of washing, mainly from there but a few bits from here.

Then had a very interesting appointment with letting agent as we are going back to long term letting after doing holiday lets.
Rental prices have soared so we are looking at much higher rent than 3 years ago. She reckons “it will fly.” We asked her if there was anything we needed to do and she said it was perfect as it is. She asked which agency we used for cleaning - it’s us!! we did laugh and she said the cooker was the cleanest she had ever seen.

I must get on with my own housework now. 🤣

Swim, dog walk and then I must tackle my underwear drawer!
I’ve got an audio book to listen to whilst I do that.

I have a rare week with few fixed points. I have long To Do lists so I had better get stuck in.

Getting ready for a day painting my pergola outside the sun room. A cloudy day is ideal because by the time the sun has moved round by lunchtime it’s hard to see what you’re doing. I’ve ordered some new patio furniture so I have to get on with it.

Seems cooler again here today, which is good for GS1 who has a Sports Day. We shall go and watch this afternoon.

Standing on the edge of a pool with a timer in my hand at the gala this afternoon. Strange how humid it is on the poolside, yet the water feels so cool.

We seem to be mending a leak in the shower…. Just waiting for all the drips to be collected….

Lunch at DD’s today and we had half an hour of rain early this morning so I’ve been able to swerve my watering stint at the allotment.

A lazy morning planned just pottering about. My houseplants could all do with a feed.

A family gathering this afternoon at my son and lovely d-in-laws. They have a new baby son....2 weeks old next Wednesday... so easier for them to stay put and all of us to go to them. We are having a takeaway (pizza) to celebrate my birthday (which is actually tomorrow.) I love it when we are all together so looking forward to it!!

Off to Bristol later to pick up DD and family from the airport after their holiday in Majorca. They usually take their car and leave it at the airport, but theirs broke down last week the day before . DH has had it sorted for them, so all ok now. Lunch out at a pub I imagine. Then possibly watching the football later, if we can bear it!

Not doing much today as my strained back is stopping me from doing anything useful! Have done some ironing. I had two bedrooms painted and recarpeted this week, so now need to put back all the spare bedding etc. will have to do this slowly. A rest in the garden with an ice cream may be needed later.

Cooler here today. Just been to the Farmers market in town and gave a lovely haul of tasty looking goodies! New potatoes, local cheese, a bunch of colourful dahlias, tomatoes and a sourdough loaf.
Clearing out the garden shed now, ready for repainting.
