Well strangely she did want red -headed children, which with me there was no chance !
They are all somewhere is the middle, not fair not swarthy, we balance it out it seems 😂

My husband very much like my dad in personality same starsign. So yes it does happen you can marry a partner with similarities very close to your mother or father

My husband was poles apart from my dad in looks and character. The same applied to my mother in law and me.

My wife is a redhead, she says she was never attracted to red-headed men ?
She can't really explain it, maybe something build in to mix the gene pool ?
She chose me white but dark and swarthy 😳

Perhaps she didn't want to create a breakaway mini-Scotland population

Sorry, I just can't see the similarities at all in those pictures.
Although I do see similarities in the personalities of my first husband and my father .

My husband is very different to my Dad, in colouring and nature. Although, both lovely men.
My eldest daughter married someone totally different to her Dad, they are now divorced. Youngest Dd s husband has many similarities to DH but not in looks.
I am not a bit like my MIL in nature but we do have the same colouring.
Quite a mix.

I saw a man I had never seen previously at a meeting and knew that moment that we would become lovers, it took some time but when we met again it was electric for both of us. One simply can not account for attraction.

My husband looks nothing like my father, although my dad died when he was 12 years younger than my husband is now. They have different personalities too, although they share core values.

I've noticed that my daughter's boyfriends tend to be the same in relation to my husband - no physical similarity but other things in common.

I am one of those people who has always had ‘attractions’ ’ to men. Usually they are the same physical type and colouring. Not at all like my DH, more like my grandfather who I was close to as a child. Intriguing isn’t it ?

Not for me, I remember meeting a girl years ago, who looked like my mother ( when she was young ) with also similar mannerisms, although we liked each other, I could not see her in a sexual way .
My wife could not be any more different in looks and mannerisms
Another girl all the lads fancied ,I didn't because she reminded me of my sister in looks

My late husband was nothing like my father or like me. We recognised each other the first time we met when I was 14. For me there is no explaining it, nor does there need to be.

Ha ha!

Maybe it's more obvious in a larger format but I don't see it actually.

Interesting thought though.
I have 5 children - it would be very very hard to find someone as wonderful as my husband - yet two daughters are married. I don't see many similarities- though there are some I suppose.

My husband is a bit like my dad in that they both love(d) children, are generally kind and gentle... the two boys have married women quite different to me I think 🤔.

...it's harder to see yourself in your daughter in law... and my daughters in law are not at all like each other.

Oops…

Where are they?

Bear with me on this one 🤔

Reading many articles on the late Michael Mosley this week brought me to some photos on the Daily Mail online with him and his brother as children, together with their parents.

I was really struck at the likeness between his wife Claire and his mother and wondered how often that happens. Do people subconsciously choose partners based partly on what they love and know i.e. a parent or sibling?

Physically Mr PG looks nothing like my dad but they’re both virgo ♍️ and have very similar personalities and traits and I’m a Sagittarius ♐️ just like my late MIL !
Please check the photos out and tell me if I’m imagining things and need to give my head a wobble 🫨
