Such a sad time for the Kitchen. It all feels so unreasonable. Cant get my head around the ‘why’ of it. I hope urms feels able to read our posts and knows the depth of support there is here for her.

Busy day for us. I managed to navigate two motorways without stress, goodness a busy Monday morning, guess it’s holiday traffic adding to the usual. It took an hour on our knees before the lettering was readable on my parents grave. I can’t help but send very cross thoughts to whoever it was decreed cremation headstones should be almost flat in an area prone to flooding. Daft!

I did OK in the shopping expedition that followed, Mr C sadly not. Oh well. Maybe next time. There was some nasty traffic on our way back, a long go slow for no apparent reason. Made it anyway, these long day trips are getting a bit much now.

Gardening for us tomorrow after the grocery delivery, or rather the taming of the montana part two. It’s gone mad, is there drug testing for plants? I’m sure it must have had some help along the way.

Oh well, time for sleep. Have a good night everyone. Sleep, tight.

I am aware that we have several new Kitcheners. You are all most welcome. I trust that you will enjoy being here. Our aim is to celebrate each other's happy events and to comfort those in need of support. flowers

RosiesMaw Thank you for your level-headed response regarding what has caused upset to our friend, Urms.

Welcome dalrymple23. Make yourself comfortable. We are a delighted to have your company.

Yia Spelling errors are proof that one is human. I am often befuddled. It isn't a crime. Let's just continue being good, supportive pals. That's what really counts.

SueD Thanks for a belly laff. grin

NannyG4 Bless you and your darling husband. flowers

Just saying goodnight to all kitchen pals, a busy day here with rain most of the day too
The roofers couldn’t get on with cleaning the roof, poor chaps got drenched and they gave up mid afternoon as it was far too slippery - they’ll try again tomorrow
Take care all x
Urms 🩷

We love and miss you Urms, please come back. The kitchen is missing you.......

I've not long been posting on this lovely thread and have just settled in. I'm so upset by all of this , as are many of us, life can be hard and difficult enough, we certainly don't need nor want it..... we just want to be kind and understanding with each other , which is what Soops Kitchen is.. Love to you all... Xx

I want Urms back too.

Another reader here. I too am upset by the deletion of Urms post. Not sure if anyone else has, but I have asked GNHQ to review their decision over this.
This is such a lovely supportive kitchen and I hate to see such discord.
My best wishes to you all.

Nannylovesshopping

GNHQ have a lot to answer for!!

This is the same GNHQ who banned our dear friend Phoenix when she was terminally ill with cancer.
Sorry to sound bitter, but the kneejerk reaction at the time was to delete then ban on the basis of enough reported posts and it was clear that somebody or a group of people had their own agenda.
If a post is deleted it is only common courtesy to say what was objected to.
“Not in the spirit of Gransnet” is vague to say the least.
And if this is deleted , well too bad.

Mainly a reader rather than a poster.
Just wanted to add to the other posters shock about Urms,
such a lovely poster always kind despite her own problems.
Do hope she feels able to return and if reading is comforted by knowing how much she is valued and missed.

I'm really sorry to hear Urmstongran has departed, I hope that's not for good, she'd be sorely missed. She recently joined our book thread this year, I'd hate to think she won't return. Please come back Urmstongran, whoever upset you take no notice, just one person against all of us who appreciate your posts and your good humour flowers
