Good morning all! Still morning here in BC, although a cold and drizzly one.

Not much planned here, my DH was invited out fishing for a few days, so it's just me and the dog. I don't mind though, I can putz at my own pace and eat what I want, then watch a movie of my choice this evening.

Good morning Mick and all. It's ages since I posted as my health took a real nose dive and I have been in a lot of pain, that I can't get on top of. That is until this morning, when I woke up and turned over without yelping . As I have been prescribed lots of pain killers, I am prone to falling asleep at the drop of a hat. A Sue Ryder nurse is supposed to be visiting early next week, so 🤞something will be found to help.
It is DH's birthday today, so I made him a bacon sandwich for breakfast, as he hasn't got a cake! Poor chap. Our boys both came to visit during the week, and the eldest is coming again tomorrow.
Apologies for all the miserable news, but I am hoping that I soon begin to feel a bit more human.

Grandmabatty I love a treacle scone but haven’t had one for ages. Rarely see one to buy.

Haven’t read posts yet as late up again . Apparently my thyroxine levels are low so no wonder I keep falling asleep and are tired all the time. I am already on thyroxine so it will have to be upped. Repeat blood test in 6 weeks although I wanted an appointment with doctor didn’t get one. Hey ho that’s life these days. We are looking for a last minute holiday preferably a doing nothing one from my point of view. Does anybody else’s DH not accept that he is getting older (74) and maybe needs to slow down just a wee bit. Rain forecast later oh dear this is not a cheery post today sorry.

We will be doing the same as you tonight mick and having a Chinese takeaway - an occasional treat.

Our weather is forecast to be wet and thundery for most of the day although for now it is still dry.

Your garden looks lovely Ladyleftfieldlover. Is the rose a blue moon? It looks very pretty.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Ibiza. Lovely day yesterday on the beach reading in a nice breeze. not too hot. In the evening a celebratory meal with DGD for her excellent university results.

Today into Ibiza town by bus which is always interesting.

I have cramp to varying degrees every night now so will make an appointment when I return to maybe change my statins in the hope of an improvement.

Good morning from the Essex coast where the sun is shining, for now.
Not a lot on the agenda for this weekend although it is Father's Day tomorrow so I am sure DH's girls will want to see him.
I am still coughing but did manage to get a doctor's appointment on Thursday and have been given an inhaler. I have a return appointment next Thursday. It may be time for antibiotics.
DGD1 finished her last GCSE yesterday and has now left school. She starts college in September. I find it hard to believe that she is almost 16, I remember the day she was born and how excited I was to have a granddaughter.

Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
The heating is on again and I am going to leave it on, I have never worn so many layers of clothes in June.
Yesterday was spent lying down reading, thankfully the stomach pain eased during the afternoon.

My sister and BIL will visit this afternoon and we will chat about the exciting things we have been doing this week, just joking as we have boring lives.
DS and GD2 will visit and that will be interesting as DS has been working in Cambridge and GD always has a busy week with school activities and meet ups with friends. I believe she was playing the piano at a soirée this week.

Good morning it is a sunny morning at the moment in Cambridgeshire. We have a couple of DIY jobs to do at DD2’s new home first thing and DGS2 aged 5 is on board to help us! Then need to do a shop for the BBQ we plan to do tomrw. Hopefully the weather will be kind so I can get get on my garden. I did buy a couple of new things yesterday but still have my hanging baskets to do. Not going to do too many baskets and tubs this year. With being away and the weather I am so behind myself in the garden.

Morning from a grey S E Essex, currently 13° I am missing the blue sky and heat of Cyprus already.
Farm shop and local butchers first thing as fridge is empty, then washing and maybe ironing, definitely the worst part of a holiday 🤣🤣🤣

You can always ‘unload your baggage’ here and we can all relate to how you’re feeling, I’m sure. ❤️. It can be hard looking after little ones.

We had a visit to RHS Hyde Hall yesterday morning. It was looking at its fabulous best. We’re lucky as it’s only 20 minutes from us , so we try to go regularly. We are members but I looked at the entrance fee prices. Goodness ! £17.45. and £8.75 for children. Too much I think! £49 for years membership and you can take a guest in for free.

Later we met our friends and another couple joined us , visiting from France. They were good fun and added colour to our usual catch-up.

DS1 and gd3 are doing the Race for Life run. It’s a muddy one and the forecast rain won’t help. Good luck to them all 🍀.

I’ll watch Trooping of the Colour and have an easy day 🤞.

Good morning from a bright warm Suffolk but who knows what the rest of the day will be like!

We are still catching up with sleep from our very late night( for us) on Wednesday so I haven’t yet read your posts but Ihope all is well with all.

I had a lovely time with my 3 friends yesterday over lunch in the huge garden centre where it is difficult to find a parking space.

Today we are meeting DS and family for an early dinner at an Indian restaurant in Ipswich recommended to him by a work colleague. It is run by an Indian family with 3 generations in the kitchen and is northern Indian food so lots of breads rather than rice. Looking forward to that after a quiet day at home before.

Good morning everyone from a sunny south Manchester. We did have torrential rain during the night though. ‘Sunshine and showers’ seems to be the script every day. I have heard (whisper it) that there’s good weather coming in a few days.

We have absolutely no plans which is nice in its own way occasionally.

Well done Karma, I am a strange person, I enjoy messing about with IT equipment. I saved my school a fortune by removing parts from PCs to repair others.

I plan to have a gentle day today. My joints are very painful today after my visit to Silverburn. I was out for hours, but only managed Tesco and M&S.
Two faulty hand held scanners, barcodes which wouldn't scan, leaving with shop with potatoes I hadn't paid for 😱 (I shall put the money in St Anthony's box, it goes to help feed children in India) and an accident with a bottle of Coke left me rather flustered.

The Coke fell out of my hand, rolled along the car park under a car and got stuck behind the wheel of a car. I had great difficulty retrieving it, because I can't bend down!
Using my stick, I managed to reach it, only to cover my car, the ground and myself in Coke. In my rush to open it. I presented a rather bedraggled figure! 🤣
I badly needed pain killers and didn't have the patience to wait until the gas settled.🤭
The only positive note was that I secured a bargain in the M&S sale, a lovely dress, (I don't need it) which was a final mark down at £11,99. Good luck, Bluesapphire!

I have a couple of plants to put in (they have been sitting for days) and then a rest before the Vigil Mass.
I managed to get all the weekend parish business done last night, so I have a free morning.. Hurrah!

The big event of today is that I intend to start my new RA treatment. Despite having injected my self for years with biologics, I am a tad apprehensive.
However on balance, the need for respite wins hands down over the apprehension.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. All plans for the weekend have had to be shelved as we are both struggling with the nasty coughing, wheezing virus and feeling rough. It is such a shame as family get togethers are few and far between now the GC are all grown up but we can’t take a chance specially with DDIL after cancer treatment.
I shall watch Trooping the Colour and find a Cook meal if we feel like eating

I’m going to watch DGS2 play football this morning, then drop into my bank on the way home and transfer the builder’s money.
Hopefully potter in the garden later weather permitting and a dog walk this evening in whatever the weather throws at us.
