Good morning from a sunny but,I think, somewhat cooler Suffolk.
Yesterday’s keep fit class was a gentle one so I’m hoping for the same for today’s stretch class. After that I’ll probably spend the rest of the day indoors til it cools down in the afternoon when we sit in the summerhouse.
I’m feeling virtuous as I did the ironing yesterday.
Hope Mizuna your op goes well and you are home in a couple of days. It has been a long wait for you which, according to your posts, you’ve borne with fortitude and good humour.
Hope today is a good one for all.

On the health front seem to be getting normal as to I was before surgery 12 months or so back.

Happy Birthday Mr MD.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 16° and there are storm clouds gathering. Still some blue skies peeking through. Mizuna all the best for tomorrow. GrandMattie I'm very fond of Bakewell tarts. It sounds like you are having a good time with your son. baubles safe journey to Ireland.
Yesterday I visited another care home for mum and this one was so much better than the first one. It wasn't as fancy but there were small personal touches which pleased me. It also is in my village which would make visiting simple. So fingers crossed. I need to find one more and let social work know of my three choices. So I'll be back on the phone today. I bumped into the boys and their grandad on the way back from nursery and that was a nice meeting.
Today will be phonecalls and some pottering. I'll get washing done but I'm not hopeful about hanging it out. Tuba and pasta bake for dinner later. Have a good day all.
Just read back, good luck for tomorrow Mizuna, you’ve had such a wait with no complaints.
Grammaretto where is that great tenement painting? It’s lovely.
I hope all goes well for you tomorrow Mizuna x
Mizuna all the best for tomorrow.
Happy birthday Mr Marydoll 🍺🎂🎉.
All the best for tomorrow, Mizuna. It’ll be good to be bionic, won’t it?
Good morning from another warm and sunny Black Country.
It was so hot yesterday. My friend and I travelled to Bewdley on the bus. Lovely walk along the river, then lunch and a mooch around the town.
My DGD2 had her Prom last night. DD sent photo's of her in her dress and then with her group of friends. They all looked stunning! I am sure they had a lovely time
Today I am going over to pick her up from her friends house, where she stayed overnight. Take her home to stay the afternoon ready to take her to a shift at a pub, which is too far for her to walk there. Then take her sister to school where she is in her play tonight.
When DGD finishes at 9pm she is coming home with me to stay overnight, as she has a taster day at our local college tomorrow. I will walk with her in the morning to show her the way. It will be quite a long journey for her is she starts at this college in September. I can see many overnight stays here
Spoke to my Brother yesterday, he has been quite poorly with Covid for over 2 weeks now! It is now causing pain in his back (a common symptom apparently). Tomorrow will be 3 weeks! SIL has it too, but not quite so bad.
Wishing you all a lovely day
Good morning everyone from a cooler Severnside.
I did several pottering jobs yesterday before showering. I then had a late lunch and chilled out in the draught from a window.
I have my car aircon on all the time. I like the cabin to feel cool when I’m driving. I’d probably nod off otherwise.
I hope all goes well for your operation and recovery Mizuna.
Wishing a Happy Birthday to MrDoll 🎂🎁
Happy Birthday to MrDoll
Grey skies and blessedly lower temperature this morning so it looks as if we have had summer for now. Good sing and enjoyable WI meal yesterday, book group here this morning and perhaps some dead heading if it stays dry. Thinking of Mizuna and hoping everything goes to plan tomorrow.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a Carlisle of sun and cloud. We have had a shower overnight so no watering duties today.
I pottered in the garden yesterday afternoon but not for long, the heat was ferocious...for me. It was a mere 24°C. I mostly read my new book, I've started on the Shardlake novels which I'm enjoying although the Tudors haven't been my favourite period.
Today, some gentle pottering first thing then I am off to Newcastle at lunch time, rather unexpectedly as I am filling a cancelled medical appoinment only arranged last evening.
Good luck Mizuna, I hope you'll soon be running around!
Have a good day everyone.
Ekwa if you have the Disney channel, there's an excellent series of the first Shardlake novels. There are some differences, but it's mainly true to the book
Good morning everyone from a cloudier and cooler Northampton, thank goodness; seems as though it will be a more comfortable temperature today.
Yesterday morning was interesting; I had heard (on local radio) about a walk-in mole/skin cancer clinic yesterday at a surgery the other side of town, open to anyone, no appointment necessary. The world and his wife had heard about it too! I decided to go, not that I had anything particularly troubling - but I have spent 10 years living in the tropics - Singapore and Northern Australia. There was a very long queue which I joined and after an hour was seen by one of three specialist doctors who gave everything a good check and was pronounced fine with nothing to worry about. Noticed that a few people were getting referral letters to have something looked at more closely. It shows that this sort of clinic is popular and obviously needed.
Had a coffee and did a bit of shopping in town on the way home.
Spent the afternoon in my garden shady spot and finished my book club book for next month.
GrandMattie, hope you are enjoying 'The Dutch House', but I thought it was by Anne Patchett? Read it for book club a couple of years ago.
Sainsbury's delivery later this morning, then I may hop on the bus this afternoon and go to the shops.
Hope today's cooler temperature is more pleasant for all.

St Mungo is in the High Street near the Cathedral which was closing as we arrived so we didn't see inside.
We saw Glasgow's oldest house though, Provands Lordship, with its medicinal garden.
Best wishes for the op Mizuna
Happy travels Baubles and anyone else who's going away on their holidays.
All best wishes for your ok Mizuna.
Happy birthday to *Mr Marydoll*
!
It is, blue, got the wrong Ann! Apologies…
Sorry grandMattie, see that you've already said Anne Patchett
Good morning from a sunny and dry East Midlands. A bit cooler today. A bit of gardening and housework today.
Good morning 🌄
Thanks, Grandmabatty. Sadly, I don’t have Disney but I’ll have to investigate. Good to know someone has done them.
Bright and breezy but cooler in Co Durham.
Met an old friend last night. We have known each other forever. She lives in the south but comes ‘home’ to see family periodically. We talked nonstop for over three hours.
Mizuna hope all goes well tomorrow.
Happy Birthday, MrMarydoll
Wishing safe travels to those on the move and hope our poorlies are improving quickly.
Ekwa it's the first book only yet, although I have hopes. The actor who plays Matthew Shardlake is excellent and it also stars Sean Bean. Can I say more?😂 Happy birthday to MrMD
Thank you all for your good regarding Mr MD.
He dislikes cake, so I am in the process of making his favourite Chelsea buns, despite the time consuming faff. 😍
