Good Morning Everyone,
Its another dry sunny start here in brackley this morning.
Doing my usual routine of bus to Bicester and hopefully have conversations with friends .
Had a call yesterday as to my appointment last Monday ,my heart rate as gone up ,and they are going to add more to prescriptions I take .
Since surgery last year , my heart rate even when doing it on a blood pressure monitor has been above to what it used to be ,so if new additions improve it fare enough.
Take Care,
Mick.

Mizuna

I'm back from the theatre. They don't hang around here! Thanks for all the kind wishes. 😍

Wow!!! That was quick. And you actually felt like posting too! Amazing. Anesthetics must have improved a lot since I last had a GA.
I've been at our Art's Society lecture this morning. TS Elliott and Art. Excellent lecture.
You have been in my thoughts. Good to know surgery is over.
Every good wish for a speedy recovery to full mobility. Jan x

Good morning from coastal West Sussex. It’s cloudy but pleasantly warm. I think the wind has dropped - it was quite blustery yesterday.

I hope your new prescription will stabilise your heart rate, Mick.

Taichinan, the wind rippling across the barley sounds very evocative and lovely but I hope you soon get a calm, dry day to enjoy your garden.

grandMattie, I have been in that bookshop - it is magical!

Stilllearning, I hope your family and friends have a lovely holiday. We have friends who used to holiday in that area and it sounded beautiful.

Ashcombe, I hope your migraine passes quickly.

Mizuna, I hope your knee op goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

One of the floors in a Buxton second hand bookshop. It is magical.

Morning everyone from bright but windy and cool South Lanarkshire. I hope things improve for your DD Gingster, thank goodness you are able to help.

Our weather has been just plain miserable in June and given that July is usually wet we are all feeling pretty down about ‘summer’ this year. Hey ho, 🤞

Today the two of the three of us who didn’t break anything at our catastrophic lunch are taking goodies and spending the afternoon with the unfortunate third member of our trio.
She is very philosophical and positive and now managing to walk a short way with two sticks. I am really looking forward to it, we always laugh together.

DD5 and her two are on their way to Manchester airport just now, flying out tomorrow morning to La Rochelle where they are meeting up with my son in law who has been at the Euros with friends in their camper van. Friends have flown home and the family are spending 10 days in Isle de Rey.
Their friend who’s husband died last year and her two boys are going too so I hope all goes well for them all.

Wishing everyone a good day

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's cold and windy.
I hope it's better for the family gathering tomorrow because with my sitting room still out of action I rather hoped we could be outside.
The roofer has now gone off sick but the buckets are dry which is the main thing.

Good luck for the op Mizuna. See you on the other side 😀

I must get ready for work now.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Taichinan Fri 28-Jun-24 08:52:57

Good morning Mick and all. It's blowing a hoolie out there this morning - I don't think sitting outside will be an option today! It looks very pretty blowing ripples across the barley field though.
Thinking of Mizuna today and wishing her a speedy journey towards throwing away those crutches flowers
I'm off out to morning coffee soon with an old friend I met years ago through the Hillwalkers and Rambling group. I gave that up years ago, but the friendship has remained. Lovely lady.
Apart from that it will be another day of trying to keep awake after very little sleep the night before so that perhaps - oh please 🙏 - I might sleep tonight.
Enjoy your day everyone - I'll pop back in later to read everyone's news x

Ziplok Fri 28-Jun-24 08:37:21

Good morning.

A dull, but slowly brightening start here. It feels considerably cooler but not as breezy as yesterday.

Hope all goes well today Mizuna.

Helping to set up later for tomorrow’s coffee morning fund raiser. There will be various stalls plus coffee/tea and cakes on offer.

Enjoy your trips out, those of you going on them.

Gala Fri 28-Jun-24 08:23:57

Good morning all. It's wet & windy here in Sefton. Back to what now appears to be normal for June. A slow but 'exciting' day yesterday as we picked up our new car. DH has been well & truly dragged into the 21st century as it is an automatic & hybrid. Lots of digital 'bells & whistles' to get his head around.
A couple of zoom exercise classes first thing then off to town on the train to do some click & collecting & meet some friends for lunch in our usual Italian restaurant. I hope it will have stopped raining by then. I don't fancy a soggy lunch☔️.
Much sympathy Ashcombe. They come from nowhere sometimes don't they. Mine are managed (mostly) successfully with propanalol but can still sneak up on me unexpectedly & ruin the day 😣. Hope you feel better today. It can take a while to get over that wiped out feeling.

brook2704 Fri 28-Jun-24 08:23:11

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and we’ve had some overnight rain
Hoping all goes well mizuna and you’re back ho e recovering very soon
The DGC both finished school for the summer holidays yesterday lunchtime, lots of hugs and laughter with their friends! Today they’re seeing their dad and I’m meeting up with DD for lunch and a bit of shopping later.
Sorry to hear your DD is poorly Gingster sending you both gentle hugs
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

monk08 Fri 28-Jun-24 08:16:16

Good morning all from a cloudy Black country.
I hope all goes well today Mizuna.
Today we have our friends funeral so hope it stays dry.
Safe travels those on the move, virtual hugs where needed ☀️.
