Good morning from coastal West Sussex. It’s grey and cooler outside which is probably good as I plan to be at the allotment and in the garden, planting and watering.
Lovely to see you back home and looking relaxed and happy in your lovely bedroom, Mizuna. I hope the pain is well controlled and your knee heals up speedily.
Poor little dunnock, Whitewavemark! Well done for your gentle rescue.
Happy Birthday, Bellasnana - so young!
Glad to hear the Oopses are getting back to normal.
I have just heard from a friend who is returning from holiday via Portsmouth on Wednesday. They dock early morning and will call in on their way to their next destination before heading back north. I will have to be organised with breakfast - it’s not my time of day 😂 but it will be lovely to see them.
Thoughts with all struggling with health or family problems.
Mick, enjoy the cycling.

Good Morning Monday 1st July 2024
(49 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Have woken up to a clear blue sky this morning in brackley .
Today , my usual routine and bus journey to Bicester , hope to meet those I know there .
Return and have lunch, whilst also watching todays stage of the Tour de France on TV.
Health wise I seem OK ,and hopefully make improvements .
Take Care,
Mick
Good Morning from a wet Co Armagh ,
our visitors are in a bit of a dilemma , the car is leaking oil or something , the local garage is looking at it , they have to be in Donegal by 4 today
Glad to see you home Mizuna
Good morning Mick and all from a wet northwest coast.
Lovely day yesterday, the antibiotics have calmed my abscess down and I walked around my favourite park and village, had lunch and bought a hanging basket.
Today is the funeral of my old friend and pianist colleague, followed by my annual meeting with financial advisor. DS will join me and DD online. I wish I’d had a better night’s sleep, I fell asleep in front of the tv and woke up at 3.45. My own fault for not turning in at the right time.
Get well soon Mizuna and birthday wishes Bellasnana🎉
Good morning from Dunblane. Hope you are all well. Wall to wall greyness AGAIN. I need some blue skies!
Morning from South Lanarkshire, grey and damp here, oh what a surprise. Chair yoga this morning and lunch with my sister afterwards. She is down from Aberdeen dropping off her wee dog at our brother’s while she heads over to Ireland for a week, she really enjoys catching up with relatives that she traced some years ago. We are half sisters so they are not related to me although when she went first to meet them and showed them family photos they picked me out as ‘obviously one of them’😊.
Lovely pictures Mizuna and baubles and well done your grandson NanKate, what a spirit!
Happy birthday Bellasnanaand good wishes to everyone for a nice day.
Back to grey skies and lower temperatures so an indoor day involving some brass polishing and admin I think. Certainly nothing planned apart from the gardener and a discussion about the considerable amount of slug damage, inevitable in such a wet summer. Glad to see Mizuna safely home and to read better news from*Oops*.
Good morning from a cool, breezy Durham, with a chance of rain later.
Coffee with a friend this morning, then I’ll take Little Dog out and drop him and DD2’s laundry off. On the way home, I’ll get some euro for a short break in Malaga next week. I bought some geraniums yesterday, so I’ll plant those later - impossible with the dog here.
🎂 Bellasnana
Brilliant progress Muzuma
Take advantage of the rest MaryD
Best wishes to all. X
Well done to your DGS NanKate that’s some achievement after such a difficult time 🥇
NanKate, you must be so proud of your grandson. 😍
I hope things improve for him.
Mizuma 👍💐
Good morning all. I've just lost my post - I suspect it's going to be one of those days! No power ('planned maintenance'), no Wimbledon and the forecast wall-to-wall rain has just started!
Delighted to see you back home and looking very pleased about it too Mizuna. Onwards and upwards now! And also glad to see that Miss Oops is also returning to her own little nest.
And Happy Birthday to Bellasnana! Have a lovely day.
Now I shall take myself off to do something which does not involve flicking a switch - not as easy as it sounds!
Have a good day everyone x
Good morning Mick and All from a sunny South Bucks.
Have a lovely Birthday today Bellasnana.
Hope you have a restful day today Marydoll 💐
Have just returned from the south coast where we have been helping with our grandsons whilst our son is on book tour. It has been very stressful as our younger GS, who has horrendous eczema and allergies had to be readmitted to hospital on Wednesday and put on intravenous antibiotics which helped with his latest flare-up. I joined him and his mum at the Brighton Children’s Hospital, where he has made many visits. He was desperate to get out of hospital.
To my astonishment he insisted on going to school on Friday (where he has been only been able to attend sporadically in the last few weeks) to attend Sports Day! He joined in and came second in the Sprint and Third in the Relay! I am not showing off just astonished that he managed to do this with all his health issues, no training or PE lessons recently. A very proud Nan.
Pleased you are home from hospital * Mizuna*.
Good morning from a cloudy NE.
DD and SIL came for dinner, we had a vegetarian meal with a lovely bottle of Puligny Montrachet. They left at 8.30 as they had to pack, they are retuning to Brussels today and do not know when they will next visit.
Last week I arranged for a window cleaner to come to the house, he sent a text to say it will be today. My previous one never returned after lockdown.
Happy Birthday Bellasnana, enjoy your day.
Happy Birthday Bellasnanna, does Bella still put you in her pocket?
Good morning all. A grey day here in Sefton. It's chilly with rain forecast for this afternoon. I'd like to have a duvet day. The miserable weather makes me feel miserable but it's singing this morning. 🤞that will cheer me up.
Happy birthday Bellasnanna. Good to see you home Mizuna, you must be delighted. Take it easy Marydoll, you sound in need of a peaceful & uneventful day.
Good morning Mick and everyone from dreary, grey Carlisle where it may or may not rain soon.
Yesterday morning I went out to the garden centre. I didn't get quite all I wanted but still a trolley full! After lunch I got some planted and then started a clean and tidy up in the garage. I don't know why I need so much stuff...some of it is definitely 'in case' but some is definitely due for a run to the tip. It will still leave a lot though.
Today I have the usual laundry and cleaning morning then possibly a Wimbledon watching afternoon followed by part of the evening watching highlights of the Tour.
Happy Birthday to you Bellasnana and happy recuperating Mizuna, you have a good excuse for laying about watching Wimbledon.
Have the best possible day everyone,
Good morning from a cloudy cooler South Downs.
Off to have my hair, cut and coloured this morning. Than might potter this afternoon. Wimbledon with my little Spanish boy is on so might watch that.
Yesterday we had what we thought was a sparrow in the conservatory, but when I caught it (tea towel) I realised that it was much more refined with a very fine beak - a dunnock! The poor little thing was terrified and when I took it outside to let it go it just sat in my hand, so I very gently popped it onto a branch of the nearest tree. It stayed there for about 10 minutes then gradually came too and eventually flew off. Sparrows are much more robust and I guess used to humans as when I catch them they simply act as if nothing has happened when I release them and carry on as normal.
Happy birthday bellasnan
Welcome home mizuma
Monkfish in butter and herb sauce for dinner
Enjoy your day all
Peace and harmony
Happy Birthday, Bellasnana. Glad you’re safely home Mizuna.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a weak sunny day in Suffolk after a chilly one yesterday.
Happy birthday Bellasnana and good to see that you are home Mizuna and looking relaxed in your own space.
Baubles I’m enjoying sharing your holiday in Ireland. After our week at Florence Court all those years ago we then went to Achill for a few days in a wonderful family run hotel. The food was simple but delicious and the ‘wine cellar’ was a few bottles of red on the kitchen table. The hotelier collected ammonites locally and showed his wonderful collection. There were wild ponies in the hills and fantastic beaches for young children which always seemed to be deserted.
Today is much more mundane for us with laundry, dog walk and reading my book about Sutton Hoo. But memories of that holiday in Ireland 30+ years ago have got me off to a good start.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and drizzly
Happy Birthday Bellasnanna enjoy your special day!
What a lovely picture mizuna you’re doing so well, bet you’re pleased to be home and recovering well
It’s the school holidays here now too so we’re taking the DGC out for lunch today and hopefully a short walk if the weather stays dry
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings💐
Happy Birthday Bellasnanna 🎉🎉
Morning all, and can confirm that it’s grey here in Essex.
Happy Birthday Bellasnana 🎂🥂🎉

Welcome home Mizuna.
Yesterday was quiet until that game had us on the edge of our seats 🏴
Today is voluntary phone, then quiz.
🦩🦩
Good morning all and a happy birthday *Bellasnana the weather on the east coast of Fife is nice and fresh today. I’m having 3 rashers of crisp streaky bacon for my breakfast with a lightly poached egg and a piece of toast with my newly made raspberry jam. Alls good today back to Netflix and a lazy day.
Have a good day my friends love to all. 💐💐💐🏴🏴🏴
