I've think I've done a stupid thing today.
I had to go to our GP's surgery to see the nurse for blood tests. I parked in a disabled spot and put my badge on the dashboard as usual. I went in and put my reg. no. in the terminal but I'm not sure if I put a letter in wrong. My last car began PK but I've only had this car a couple of months and it's PJ but now I'm not sure which letter I put in. I looked on line and if I put PK and the rest of my number it belongs to a motorbike. I know the cameras will have picked my car reg. up and may get a ticket but will the owner of the bike get one too. I tried to ring Parking Eye who run the car park but I can't get through without a parking ticket number.
I suppose I'll have to see what happens and try and appeal.
Has this happened to any of you? DUH what a wally I am.

I got a parking ticket after parking at my local shopping centre. I parked my car, popped to the post office across the road and then returned to the centre to do my food shopping. I queried it with the centre management who immediately said that they would cancel the ticket. They were quite concerned that the person who issued the fine must have been following me to know that I had left the large car park and crossed the main road.

To update you all I received my parking ticket this morning. My DH said just pay the £40. I was going to appeal it and call in the Health Centre but I've ended up paying it instead of trying to appeal and it going up to £70 in 14 days. He said I will have to try and get the old car out of my mind. I won't make that mistake again especially when I see the nurse in a couple of weeks. sad

My husbands cousin and her husband were staying at a hotel near the beach with free parking if you were staying or eating there. We went to join them for lunch and put our registration number into the machine in reception. It seemed to have a problem but the receptionist said it’s ok so we had our Meal and paid cash for it. A few days later I got a parking ticket. I went with the cousins husband to reception and explained what had happened but the receptionist said as we had both paid cash there was no proof we had been there. The husband then mentioned he was a shareholder of the hotel and had used his shareholders discount when he paid our bill. You would have heard a pin drop and of course the fine was cancelled. Definitely a case of who you know.
